Lvl 1 -Bouncer Tries Discipline Amongst Chaos

Loveable_Bouncer

Recommended Posts

After being on and off for over 4 years now, I wanted to do a count reset. But with my knoweledge...

Found a perfect song to kick this one off (for me... this is a perfect soundtrack to my goal right now :)

Level 1:

In the Now: Meditation & Journaling   +1 Point for daily passed

Focus in Chaos:  Discipline on my to do list, on showing up to work and with school. +1 point for everything I see fit here (Will try to post daily of what was done)

Finances: Do something on YNAB per a day for at least the length of time of song above (Slow Down by Nahko and the Medicine for the People)

Added in Later: (Added after Wk 1: )

Mini- Challenges (Warrior Mobility Challenge and Snowball PVP😞 Do mobility at least every other day, snowballs when I get them.

Bonus: Extra point for everytime I get to bed by 11 (at least am ready for bed and stay in room till 7, unless to get a drink or wake up early)

IDK how SMART these goals are. But I know they are tough enough, but I think easy enough for whatever this Challenge time brings me.

But they are a start. Everything above has a lot of emotions attached.

Here is a bit more explanation. (adding in)

Spoiler

In the Now:

Since the summer of 2018, I've been seeing a "healing touch" healer. I had found relief from chronic neck pain where I can do active jobs without feeling ill. Within months I ended up being strong enough for the first time in my life to join the dating pool. My bf was the first guy I met in person on "okcupid," within a month we were seriously dating.  A year later I was able to step away from my depressants and anxiety meds. Along with finding a peace in spirituality, also ended up discovering St. Hildegarde (the coolest nun that has ever lived... for the 1100s). I'm still working on past traumas and my anxiety.... But literally everyone in my life that has known me for at least 2 years has been impressed of all the changes.

Finally able to work on discipline, I've been advised Meditation and Journaling will help keep the process going and get better. It's all iffy, but the focus of daily stopping and taking a few moments has helped me get more done throught out the day and help with my mood. (Big WHY: I've surpassed myself, and am living a life I never could think of. Taking time to do something I always wanted to do won't hurt, and can open more opportunities.)

Focus in Chaos:

This is more i have always had goals, but following through is a weakness. With being hard on myself when I can't, or am stuck. Facing it and breathing through is the goal, as I cannot foresee what my career post being a student is like. I just forsee even more chaos. Also something are harder of living around a heavy weight of someone else's depression and anxiety I found (my mother is on a path of healing, but gets stuck at times... accepting it and working on my own stuff has been an interesting path on itself.) (Big WHY: Finishng things always has good results, I hope to add routines or different goals when I get stronger).

Finances

Basically discovered that having to manage my money is really hard...  To the point tears are shed. I have a lot of coping uses with caffine and sugar, and usually money becomes a big part of it. I like to be smarter, acheive goals I never though I could. Plus dating a guy who is big on money and wanting to own his own business, and realizing what credit scores could help with. Has given me a bigger perspective.( Big WHY: a wedding and/or a kitten I forsee in my future in the next decade, having discipline in my finances could help no matter where my life takes me).

Going to attempt daily checkin, and weekly add-up.

Week 0 (Dec. 27 - Jan. 4 )

In the Now: 6/7 Fridaywas the only day I went against this

Focus in Chaos: Looking back.... In some ways this week went realy fast, but I think I filled it with what I needed. However, noticed mother appreciates everything I do... Despite with my issues of transition times. Bought a calander to hope to help with communication with my mom. In process of actually putting it up with my school schedule before the 13th.

Finances: Tried discipline, ended up impuslively buying Minecraft (had a copy... . When I need new windshield wipers..). Did go to food shelf for thier "extras" (baked goods, produce and protein). Just starting YNAB today.

Week 1 (Jan. 5 - Jan. 11) ---- 95%

In the Now: 6.5 /7---> didn't journal on Tuesday (100%)

Focus in Chaos: 7/7 (100%)

Finances: 3.5/7 - Sunday only got a new budget going, no additions until Thursday (50%)

(NEW)Mini-Challenges: 4/3 (133%) (burpees can't be counted for days, due to how slow the challenge is going)

Week 2 (Jan. 12 - Jan. 18)

Working on to be Updated

Week 3 (Jan. 19 - Jan. 25)

Week 4 (Jan. 26 - Feb.  1)

Week 5 (Feb. 2 - Feb. 😎

Other dates:

-"On Call" for Jury Duty: Jan. 2nd (still waiting to hear anything back...)(feel like I should of heard something) Heard from them, I'm just on a list for the year. Let them know if I'm ever taking a week or longer vaction.

-School Semester Starts: Jan. 13 (For new people: I'm a Rec and Park student, with an American Indigenous Minor. I have 2 semester of classes left and a semester for an internship. Dream job? No idea)

For some reason greatly tired on this holiday.... Happy New Year Ya'll! (May you see 20/20 all year long).

Along with keeping my anger low.  I think fatigued from staying up a bit too late and working my  butt off on the cooking.

Been meditating and journaling, and trying to cook up what I had found at food shelf (so many items... lots of collard greens).

Gaming has been my choice for fun, next to chatting up my mother when she is willing to listen.

Swore  I would quit sims, ended up coming up with a cool idea after the strike of midnight. Maybe finding positivity in the game, after a bit of resentment.

Also, am on call for Jury Duty starting tomorrow. It's the first time and everyone says a rare event. Keepng the phone around me will be the tackle.

Have heard nothing from the Jury. Which is personally kind of nice... Though going to be keeping on my toes till I hear something.

And slept hard... I went to bed after my post last night.

Ended up having to go up to my neighbors to ask them to turn down their music (they love their bass... when I got up there found out they had two thing on...  I kind of am missing the jumping around toddler that we used to have). Still had to wear headphones till after 10, since their loud walking was over my head... (I pray this family can afford a house one day).

Even with sleep I had a hard time getting up, barely got ready in time to help my brother to work at 2:15 pm... And have been aware how quickly things have been triggering anger for the past few days.

I think its from different things: fatigue of new goals, sugar chaos in and out of my diet, mom and brother are not doing well (brother sprained his thumb last weekend/had to take him to Urgent Care on New Years Eve and my mother is under the weather).

After my mother had complained enough to me, I realize I need to use healthier tactics than loudly complain and make noise...

Today's goals:

-Prep my many bushels collard greens and cook them in this: https://www.ajc.com/lifestyles/food--cooking/season-turnip-and-mustard-greens/TOLGu7pu9tELZMkQFNmTKK/

(Was my plan yesterday, but tiredness won out)

-Map out my goals a bit more. Noticing a bit of anxiety around this when coming to write here. *deep breathing*

Need to cut them a bit smaller so I can tackle them a bit easier & track.

- Going into things... I realize I need to cook up some meat badly that I dethawed . Sheep from my bf from last fall and gizzards I bought last fall...

Thank you all for the likes!

My inner child won out today... Limited meditation and no journaling- even though I should of with a weird dream.

Will be doing some deep breathing at work though..... It just gets long for me at times, even when by myself.

Yesterday I completed making a stew with sheep meat... Kind of off how my bf and his roommate makes theirs. Winged it by the seat of my pants. Been eating it up and getting more veggies in.

Also finally cleaned out our shower drain. My first time doing so, even though its my hair.... Realized I should be doing it monthly, so we can keep the tub cleaner. Attempted to scrub down the tub, its better but meh.

Also figured out how to narrow down goals and feel less oveewhelmed. Will update that in time for Wk 1.

THanks!  My mother was coaching me on the couch, I've been avoiding this thing. Especially now knowing I'll have long hair the rest of my life... I now have a better idea.

Luckily with my past janitor jobs, the spill isn't as bad as some garbages I cleaned last summer.

----

Will be working on post today, and changing the title again...

For once I've been editing as I go during week Zero!

Enjoying my last weekend, before the school schedule swings in next week (go back to my my musuem job next Saturday and school on the 13th).

I realized last night I will need to change my duties at my janitor job. The job is too large for my stamina, and my back has been fighting it. Even with enough sleep, sugar and caffiene. I'm still getting slower (it was supposed to be a 4 hr shift, I complete it in 6-7 hours with all my duties).  WIth being so fatigued afterwards also, its not going to go toward my goals very well. Even with the extra money, I'm using it up to buy caffiene and sugar.

So Monday I'll be calling up my manager to ask about it... I personally have no idea how to do this, since in the past I usually just quit. However, this place literally has a slogan "we care" and they'll probably be happy if I speak up.

I am so bad at remembering to do this!!! Maybe I should just do it one the first day of the month so I remember. My way of  remembering rigt now is when the shower is slow to drain😳

Hehe, yeah ours too... It just gets so gross by that time.

I guess to me, I've had some pretty horrible plumbing in a hard time in my life where we couldn't do anything. So finally learning preventions, and practicing them when they take up to an hour once a month I guess is a bit of relief... As I finally learn about it for myself.

Now to actually get in a habit of cleaning my bathtub/shower more than once a month... Baby steps are needed.

---

That moment when you finish a "throw everything the pot" sheep stew, and you want more.. :(

Luckily have more meat, but will have to inform my bf that I might be interested in getting more when he splits a sheep with a guy....

Finally! I followed through with "finalizing" my goals. Kind of broad, but flexible for my goals. With some goals in mind. Such as "just do it, and get r' done".

Friday night I found the perfect song to start off my year with through Spotify (see post 1)...

I've been so bad at doing this, I'm so proud of myself.

Now to see what happens....

Love how you started off your post with music.  I really should be doing that more often.

I witnessed a Minnesota winter, and it's... there are no words.  I can only imagine with the sun going away, that it gets incredibly difficult to stay emotionally balanced.

Regarding your anger, have you read "The Cow in the Parking Lot"?

Sunday (Wk1,D1)

In the Now:  Good, good. Though I'm having symptoms I need to do more.

Focus in Chaos Vacuumed living room/entrance/hallway/kitchen, was the needed passenger for my brother practicing driving, did the daily dishes, finally got to my greens... that were not in a good state (but enough to make the dish). Also doing the 3rd day of my tub treatment, to call it good for a month.

1
Spoiler

Following through is tough... I ended up going on a rampage of returning my brother's stuff back, after having a little meltdown that involved me may be screaming for a second when I entered back in my apartment... This is usually what has me stopping, but knowing I need to be more patient and need to make my room a bit easier to get into if I need to scream. My living room, where my mom sleeps and the open area in our apartment is not the place.

Also being patient with myself on cooking every day, things will get easier. Lot's of learning going on.

Finances: Have a fresh start, but need to actually lay out my money on YNAB. Didn't look at today....  While also bought something at taco belle, because I happened to be there...  Emergency protein after my brother bought me a latte and donuts from dunkin' donuts (which I jumped into before we pulled away....).

Other stuff:

Short: Neighbors I've been getting more annoyed with, needed their car jumped on Saturday. Since just two years ago we needed a jump pack to start our car, I was able to get them running in less then 5 minutes. Neighbors apartment has been quieter to a reasonable noise. Which has made my mother and I happier, despite my craziness.

Spoiler

Fun note I forgot to share. I had complained about my neighbors earlier this week, about their loud music pounding on our ceiling. (I had to ask New Years day to quiet down after 6 because I needed to sleep).

Yesterday I found them looking like they were having a tough time with humor in the parking lot (trying to laugh off their struggle). I finally asked them after walking by with my trash twice, if they needed a jump. The guy confirmed that she needed it on her car. I was able to get my mom's jump pack (a high quality one we used to pray to when our van wouldn't start at the first sign of cold)... Within 5 minutes I had their car going , and they asked about where to find a reasonable price jump pack (my mother's info directed to a cheaper one that would direct them, and I warned them to get one before it gets too cold). They thanked me and I went on with my day.

Since then the music has only been loud for maybe an hour each day in mid afternoon (just getting home with kids time... so that I get).  A peace offering to neighbors that could of gone worst...

Thank you for coming! And sorry if my reply is a little long, every reply gives me a new look at my challenge.  (And sorry if you weren't expecting an indepth reply).

Having a song theme for a challenge to me would be ideal.  its one of my fave things to do when I do find the right song. Was so happy to find something, since my taste of music has been changing quite quickly at the moment. Along with my viewpoint.

Says on your profile you are from Washington, I feel like I've heard some stories about how the weather can be hard on the system.

For mood symptoms is in the past I would try to get outside, especially with my Rec & Park major.  Right now, its more focusing on getting stuff done and resting... Though I do leave my apartment daily, which is pretty good for someone who could easily hermit inside.

Which part of MN did you see? A I've only been in 3 different areas of MN for winters, and I've been surprised at what ends up making it difficult. (From the plains really hurting your face, or the losing game of snow plows in the cities).

Thanks for the book recommendation!

At the moment I'm not a big reader at the moment... NF and school see to be more than enough for some odd reason...  But if I stumble upon it I may give it a glance.

Honestly, where I live, the grey can easily overtake anyone.  The suicide rate was so bad they actually started putting 10 ft. high fences on all the bridges in town (for obvious reasons).  A lot of people here suffer from SAD, or seasonal affective disorder; when the sun goes away, people get sad.  And there have been years where it's disappeared between November and February.  Antidepressants help with that, but more and more research is leading to the theory that SAD isn't necessarily a disorder, but our brains indicating changes in the weather, and how we should be reacting to it.  In other words, your brain is subconsciously telling you "HEY!  It's cold as fuck outside!  Let's go inside where's it's warm, eat nachos, and sleep for 12 hours."  Unfortunately, all of us have shit to do, which makes this difficult, and that conflict can lead to emotional instability.

Still, we press on, with warm fires and even warmer beverages.  I've read that you cook a lot.  Do you ever use a crock pot?

Thanks for explaining a bit more, yeah here it definitely gets points of "ugh no, let's stay in."

Looking back with the mix of school and for us Feb. & March are the worst (my b-day is luckily Feb.). Last year was the first time my depression didn't take over, but I was able to observe people around me getting hit hard. Seeing where I would get lost.

I do cook! Or try to. I'm someone that loves quick and convenient, but finding that taking the time to cook at home I get more flavors per a buck (and less heartburn).

I've thought about it, crock pot + me = "meh".

I own a huge one that is actually my mother's, only issue is the knob went missing years ago (so telling if its high or low is a little tricky).

I tend to use it when I go full Paleo or Whole30. Even then only a handful times a year. Due to cleaning not being fun (easier with a crockpot/baking liner though) and meh on food taste. However, does tend to make apartments smell wonderful and can keep the heat contained.

Last time I tried making a Whole30 shredded BBQ chicken, and my issue is BBQ just stinks without sweeteners.

Also its the one way I can cook a whole chicken  all the way through and have it taste good...  Else I tend to prefer baking things. But now you have me thinking.... Will  be interesting what I'll be doing in the next month with school.

In the Now:  Did it! But not as indpeth. Late hours when I can't sleep go into deeper layers... Layers that were painful to feel. Gah, I'm noticing how I'm avoiding already.

Focus in Chaos: Called my job to ask about changing what I'm doing, left a message with the right person. And attempted to replace a headlight bulb, it didn't end well... I could get it out, but found out I bought the wrong one and getting it in with my newbie car skills it was a "nope" by sunset. Got some sun though.. and tears. My mom bought chinese to soothe the home.

Finances: Uh nope... Though didn't spend anything! Mom bought the junk food for me (mc donalds for breakfast and lomein for supper)... Noticed I avoided actually cooking after Sunday or eating veggies... This will be a process I see.

Pray for my mother, she has brought up my temperament is giving her flashbacks of her mother... (which is not very good... but am doing better!)

A part of it is not eating enough I realized. I get lost in things, and when things get tough. I realize a little late I didn't eat anything.....

Yeah, a process.

Work tonight, shopping afterwards (because Walmart is quiet after midnight). For mom's groceries and some extras I need (like beef for sloppy joes and sparkling water).

Tomorrow morning I'm going to mechanic as early as possible. With my tea (this is going to be tough because getting out of bed into sunlight before noon has been nearly impossible all break).

I know they do a good job early in the day, and will make it mentally easier.

So glad I slept in today, because the car work had made my shoulders miserable... I get why my boyfriend has biceps from his little car work he does for side jobs (he does IT during day).

Wk1 Day 3 - Tuesday Jan. 8

In the Now:  Halfway (avoided journaling)

Focus in Chaos: Picked up insurance papers (needed for bro's driving test), visited/called a place to replace my headlight bulb, did a load of laundry for work, drove my brother to work

Finances: Kept on track for myself, still no YNAB.

Some emotions came up during my meditations at 2 am yesterday, when I couldn't sleep. Stuff I never noticed before that slammed into me. That I ended up avoiding journaling due to probably not wanting to feel it.

Template for this challenge:

Wk Day  -  Jan.

In the Now:

Focus in Chaos:

Finances:

For early update, had my headlight bulb replaced. Found out to have it done by service is a painful$100+ (just one side....) Bf  commented on how he could do it cheaper, but there was no way by tomorrow. Just wow for HID bulbs... wow.

Mom commented it on being good to just be done with, so I didn't have to worry on that side... (side eye to the other side, luckily I already have the other bulb for my rear lights).

So many parts of my car after owning it now for almost a year is jumping up (which makes sense for a used car, but getting a whole new idea on needing to save some money for this stuff).

My mom wants to help me get new tires on my car for my birthday (best adult gift ever!). For me there is signs the tires are getting bad, and for how much I drive. It's needed.

Will need to get estimate this week.

Count down has really begun for school!! There is a few things I want to get done before.

When looking at schedule, its easy enough. Earliest is at 10, one new professor hired (they hired the husband of the professor that had me work on that huge paper I was fearing all last semester). Upper level classes... its going to be complicated. Keep telling myself if I show up to the homework and just do it, there will be no issues. I found not even doing that can give me a C.

Car repairs are getting really expensive.  Even just parts are expensive.  Yea, take your mom upon the new tires as a gift idea ... it's worth it to have reliable tires!

Aww yes, no question on that since I've been commenting on it since the first ice and snow fell this last year.

And realized my weekly driving to home from the Twin Cities on a weekly basis was not helping me one bit.

---------------

Wk1 Day 4  - Wed.  Jan. 8, 2020

In the Now: Yes

Focus in Chaos: Yes - headlights, grocery shopping, start on paperwork, assisted with dishes

Finances: No YNAB, made mindful choices with food, paid half off a bill (will pay the rest after pay day)

Longer versions/Journals:

Finances (YNAB/School Loans/Food distributions)

Spoiler

Need to have a reward system for YNAB, at this point I think it will be guilt-free shamrock shakes (either the one from Mc Donalds or Paleo version I like made from avocado).

Both are cheaper but tend to have guilt surrounding them.

I was a bit worried about student fees, but when I grabbed the rest of my loans I will have some extra to help.

A bit annoyed by how I only have a few classes, they are during times of select food distribution that I was hoping to use (such as a ministry's $1 lunches and food shelf time opening). Along with a free produce giveaway. They do have a fridge for free food on the go, I will be hitting up. But is a hit or miss.

I know I could contact the place if I need something, and I have the town's main food shelf. I was just kind of hoping... And wonder what lesson I'm to learn.

---

And in reality, I have a ton of uncooked beans and rice that will keep me full and easy to add to. Just learning here is tough at times.

Meditations

Spoiler

Avoided meditating yesterday, and when I finally did. I did a longer version to help settle my brain down. By the end of it, tiredness caught up where I just attempted scripples on my journal and fell asleep before midnight and didn't get up until my alarm went off (stayed in bed till 10, but that's a work in progress...)

Been noticing my mood keeping down a little. To the point my mom talked about something bugging her.

Other

Spoiler

Brother passed his driving licence exam!

A guilt my mother has been holding for nearly a decade, finally let go. He's 24, and due to many reasons we just couldn't do it. Getting my car last year had opened opportunities, but I personally didn't' slow down on my freedom until this Winter Break where he was finally able to practice (his spatial perception is unbelievable compared to him, so my job was going "you can do this, you have better skills at this than I do").

And thank goodness... We were going to have to drive him to and from work if it wasn't for this.

In celebration he got insurance coverage, McDonalds AND driving himself to work!

One last note... Must see BF (due to mother's request)

1
Spoiler

My mother has lectured me twice two days in a row that I must visit my BF this weekend. I must calm down for attention or something or picking on her after I see him. I complained how my BF doesn't really give me the time when I get there (drive 90 minutes, he welcomes me in but just turns back to what he was doing... and then wonders why I get mad). She's willing to write a note for that... IDK.

Adds slight stress for the weekend, since I need to pack up for Saturday AND get my backpack ready for Monday.....

If I ever have any other relationships in my life, IDK if long distanish would ever be worth it.

Wk1 Day5  -  Jan. 9, 2020 - Thursday

In the Now: Yup!

Focus in Chaos: 1 load of laundry, got rid of papaya, made eggs, came up with a sorting technique for laundry, kept dishes caught up, garbage out, car ready for bro's test

Finances: Yup! (setting goal to work for at least 1 song length of "Slow Down")

Mini-Challenges: Did burpees for Snowballs Wed. Did 3 mobility exercises.

Wk1 Day6  -  Jan. 10 2020 - Friday

In the Now: Yup!

Focus in Chaos: 1 load laundry, cooked up meat, made sloppy joes, put away extra beef in freezer, washed up dishes, showed up to work, bought milk & made pancakes, wrapped up brother's present, started packing to visit BF. dishes almost caught up...

Finances: Yup! (Finally set up)

Mini-Challenges: Did my favorite one... and another one attempt.

My janitor job has been cut in half!!

Thank the Lord.

I literally sang just thew works "I'm Free" for solid 5 minutes when I finished roughly at 9 (3 hours instead of 6, where I wouldn't leave until Midnight at earliest).

Never been so happy to get hours cut, I had energy for a few things after work (Did YNAB and Meditated).

Adding GOAL!

I'm doing Snowball Fight PVP & Warriors Mini-Challenge on Mobility. Both of these are the first time of just doing something to wake up muscles, and give some relief. Just up to 10 reps a day per exercise and have been feeling good..... For the first time in a long time associated with exercises. Muscles have literally been bubbling out of spasms, some are angry but not making me ill. Makes me excited and a lot of ways to level up, for the first time in a long time :)

Plus mobility equals loosen muscles before tightening them like strength training, which I've been having issues with.

In the Now: Yes

Focus in Chaos: Yes-packed up for work & bf's place, was in the NOW  at work (first day rested and liking my job in awhile), washed my dishes at bf's place

Finances: Yes, did it before bed for the day

Now to total up this week...

In the Now: 6.5 /7---> didn't journal on Tuesday (100%)

Chaos is now going to ramp up!

New Template: (just need to find a place to keep the list of exercises I'm doing, so I can record them a bit clearer).

Winter Break Closure

I will keep saying, but will say I didn't get nearly the amount that I wanted to get done. I however am rested, and my mother and I finally have some power over the kitchen.

I realized I had forgotten about some kitchen appliances I have and some places in my kitchen are organized a bit better since I'm using things more. The cabinet of "tupperware" is chaos, but to be worked on...

I'm hoping a little daily work around the apartment will get to the same way. Other places of chaos are desk and bedroom.

Found NFA has a "where's my supersuit section" I may read on when I get bored.

1st Day to Classes

First day back in classes, I noticed some peeps I've liked. But they merged to the back, while I'm upfront. In my preferred classes (no desk over your head situations, that my chest and belly didn't care for... couldn't fit). Started on assignments right away, trying tasks on google calandar for assignments already. Reminding myself when I see assignments I don't like, get started NOW and throw stuff at it.

Trying to figure out writing tutors again, so I can start bugging them and they'll know me by name by the time I graduate.

I do the Pomodoro method on those tasks that need to get done but that I don't really want to do.  If I make myself spend 25 minutes of solid work on something, starting right away, I can usually get it done, well enough, by the due date.

Thank you for reminding me! Before even a month a go, I wasn't able to have the attention span of 25 minutes.

But now with some coping mechanisms... I can get lost in it or work through with a lot of deep breathing.

Wk2 Day2  -  Jan. 12, 2020 - Monday

In the Now: 1/4 - Did mantras but didn't stop and sit down or journal

Focus in Chaos: Yes -- putting new syllubis on the google (with google tasks), some chores, and other food resources

Finances:  Yes

Mini-Challenges: Yes --- Quadruped T-Spine (10 reps each side) & 90/90 hip movement (I'm at stage one of trying to situp properly)

Wk2 Day3  -  Jan. 12, 2020 - Tuesday

In the Now: Yes (just barely passed minutes before midnight...)

Focus in Chaos: Yes -- Unpacked car, half packed up school bag, garbage out

Finances:  Yes

Mini-Challenges: No -- Thinking of taking a rest day inbetween, since my neck felt weird

(Trying to Bold things for the gist @Sloth the Enduring & other peeps since I get wordy--- with the fun of scrolling 😎 )

Good first week of school! Realize how much I didn't walk around during my time off, but I think I needed a month to be lazy...

Excited about classes, but being more aware of what I didn't get done during Winter break... As I structure up my NEW semester life. Reminding to be easy on myself as I'm trying new things.

BONUS GOALS:

I am noticing I need more rest. So bonus points if I get into bed before 11 (and stay there till 6... unless I have an early morning).

Over Winter Break waking up before 10 was painful, and when I went to bed early I was usually up in the middle of night for mininum of 2 hours (which made it difficult to get it up again).

Hard part about this goal is organizing my life (but practice makes perfect and I do want to get my goal closer to 10 on nights off of work... becuase I need sleep).

Also each week so far I have been having emotional stuff needing to process, that takes energy late at night. So if I balance it out with resting good things may come.

Making a "GaH I AVOID/HATES List... bLaH!" For a list of paper work I've been avoiding for 9 months now (maybe even longer). Some are younger, but going to hit some of the older stuff first. Had messaged with a friend and my bf reminding me of options, things are better after I'm done.

Main Reward

So when I get reward counted up starting from WK1, will add them together for my "no guilt B-Day money for my B-Day date with BF". ( 1 pt = $1)

I will have the money if I keep up with YNAB and with loans. I tend to spend too much anyway, so reminding myself "GUILT FREE" will make it better. Hopfully. Trial run.

I'm hoping to drag my boyfriend to Mall of America on Feb. 1 (he doesn't care for the idea whenever I bring it up). I however haven't gone in a few years, and I just want to walk around hand in hand with my bf (because he does allow that hehe). Maybe I'll save enough to find a purse I love, to match my mary poppins like self (stuff everything you could possibly need in a pretty bag). Also I kind of been wanting to have Rainforest Cafe nachoes and a drink...

If you haven’t been, check out the Box Lunch store at the mall. It’s full of cool nerd stuff.

OOh interesting, if I have its been a few years now. (Last time I went was with friends after  a baby shower, for a child that is in pre-school now...)

Thank you for giving me another reason to keep on the budget. Realizing saying no to vending machine or cool weekly meals at school, can be tough but just not part of the budget right now (and rarely as good as going to most places in the cities).

Wk2 Day4  -  Jan. 15, 2020 - Wednesday

In the Now: Yup... need to add to bed time routine since I usually just fall asleep aftr

Focus in Chaos: Yes -- no schoolwork, but health insurance form is finally in (now to wait for more steps), and went to Walmart for my mom (was just done by 5...)

Finances:  Yes

Mini-Challenges: Yes --- Quadruped T-Spine (10 reps each side) & 90/90 hip movement (I'm at stage one of trying to situp properly)

HIt my first set of Pomodoros! I may have sat and stared out the window for few minutes due to my brain going "gah, let's be done". But enjoying my break, and getting at least one or 2 more before having to move on for the day.

There is a snow coming to MN tomorrow, so trying to get more stuff done here today as 6 inches are hoping to be here by Saturday. With two assignments for due this weekend I'm regretting not working on more earlier this week, but get why I"ll be working at home after class probably.

Bright side, may not have to go to work on Saturday due to the musuem closing during storms and blizzard like weather (40+ mph winds after snow... so a white out).

Otherwords, time to spend in bed.... In an already 3 day weekend due to Monday being an holiday.
