Tuesday. How is it only Tuesday. 

 

Last nights workout involved burpees. Predictably, they sucked. 

 

Todays adventure could be either:

 

Once again chaining myself to the desk and plowing through my to-do list, made with great care and consideration last night while watching football;

 

OR

 

turning on the gas fireplace and reading until I go out for an early lunch, and doing a half day of work in the afternoon?

So true! I did realize after I ordered the stuff that I had a gift card lurking from Christmas so I canceled the order, redid it, and now the gym bag was free!

Todsy’s adventure was pretty good. I had my proscribed breakfast and worked from home and got a lot done. It stopped raining and the sun came out so I worked out at my patio table for most of the afternoon. 

 

Lunch was a  roast beef sandwich on a pita bread. Probably too many carbs in the pita but it was very good. 

 

Went to gym, did DL 1RM test to get a baseline and then some simple cardio. Finished with ten minutes on the treadmill watching a nature documentary about parrots. 

 

Dinner was pasta with sauce that BF’s friend brought over the other night - we hadn’t eaten any of it yet. I bought scallops yesterday and I cooked them in lemon butter and threw them on top of the pasta; It came out surprisingly well. Boyfriend went out to eat with a friend - he’s driving and doing stuff again but gets tired super quick - so more scallops for me. 

 

Tomorrow’s choices will be:

 

go one of my coffee shops and work, and then go to the gym (I feel comfortable leaving the patient alone now)

 

OR

 

Scour the internet for that talkboy thing @deftona suggested, as well as some grapevines I want for my food forest, and then go for a bike ride?

 

ONLY TOMORROW CAN TELL 

 

 

 

ps I’ve read two books this challenge and both of them were about man-eating tigers. I have no idea what that means.

Yesterday did not go entirely to plan. I woke up suuuuper sore (1RM testing will do that to you I guess) and got a really sluggish start to the day, so I went to the coffee shop around 11 and worked there until about 4. Then I grabbed some lunch and went to Stone Mountain with the intention of working on my dayplanner while sitting at a picnic tables so I could get some of the rare sunny day, but I had waited too late and by the time I got there the sun was going down so I just went home. I skipped the gym to let myself recover, but I'll go today.

 

I did not search for the talkboy - there's too much mischief to be had there - but I did suss out the grapevines. I have to wait til I get paid to buy them though. Today is payday.

 

Even with going to the coffee shop I didn't get as much work done as I would have liked. I'm debating if I should work at home today and try to clean the house a bit each time I take a break or if I should go work somewhere with no distraction. I guess the choice is based on how much cleaning I want to have to do this weekend. 

 

Today's gym workout is upper body strength, which is boring and I'm not looking forward to it all that much. If I work outside the house I'm much more likely to go. But I'll have to take a shower and change out of my pajamas, a true negative.
