Also, I think your hair looks great. My wife often gets purples or whatever color too. Sometimes red, but the red doesn't work as good for her hair. Though I don't know that she has gone the total bleach it first route.

also I feel slightly bad because FedEx decided not to deliver Fat Kitty’s food today and blatantly lied about it so I had a bit of an attitude with the guy on the phone. It’s not his fault the driver lied about attempting to deliver the box, but he was still a dick regardless. Now I need to find some other website to order cat food from that doesn’t use FedEx to ship because fuck these people.

That seems to be a fed ex thing. Hubby once had the guy not knock when the main door was open and the screen was all that was there for a package we HAVE TO sign for.  Agent K9 didn't even here him. Fed Ex is a PIA

I repeat: fuck FedEx. Despite my calling yesterday and having them make a note that it’s okay to leave the box on our front steps, they “attempted delivery” today and kept it because no one was home. But once again there was no sticker on the door saying that, which means the driver is a lying shithead who didn’t even bother coming by. They’re supposedly going to deliver it tomorrow, but if they don’t I have to drive to East Bumfuck to pick it up instead. I’m sending in a complaint regardless, but not until after I have this goddamn cat food in my possession. 
 

On the bright side, having anxiety was a good thing for once. When we switched him to this food I asked the vet for a written prescription so I could buy it at a store if necessary. The receptionist lady was like “we can give it to you but you’ll never need it because you can get it autoshipped to your house and we’re also open every day.” And I insisted because I would feel better having it just in case. And guess fucking what? If I didn’t have that prescription in my wallet yesterday Fat Kitty would not have had food. So there.

Still alive. Still owe replies. Currently battling a ridiculous cold on top of the stomach issues I had over the weekend so words are hard. 
 

but cat food has been delivered so I don’t have to light FedEx on fire. Small victories.

the thing that kills me about this is that I don’t ask my father for anything. Ever. And he’s well aware that I’m sick and miserable because he’s made comments about how gross I sound and how often I’m sneezing and has made “jokes” about needing to follow me around with Lysol. But taking ten minutes out of his day to help his sick daughter when he has literally nothing else to do is too much to ask. 
 

I was even pleasantly surprised when he agreed to go to Starbucks because he has some kind of irrational hatred for the place. But apparently I rank so low on his priority list that he totally forgot about it two minutes later.

I *really* need to go driving tonight because and get way ahead because the weather this weekend is supposed to be shitty.

fuck it. I was about to write a novel trying to weigh out whether I should go or not. But I’m just not going to. I’ve been feeling better but still only at like 70% even after decent sleep and a nice hot shower. I’m going to make some tea, do some quick but not strenuous tidying of my room to boost my mental health real quick, and then work on job hunting or something until the season premiere of The Magicians. 
 

I swear I will actually reply to people once I can get more than two brain cells firing at the same time.

I hate that self care sometimes feels like making the wrong decision. I could definitely be using feeling sick as an excuse not to go driving rather than a legitimate reason. But I also cancelled therapy today because even though I clearly need it, I felt like being able to turn off my alarm and get whatever sleep my body felt it needed would be a better option. Jury’s out on that one even though I’m sure I’d’ve been miserable if I went.

I feel the same way when I sleep in instead of going to work out. I'm dealing with some jet lag and I was still awake at 1am the other night, so I decided waking up for the 6:30 crossfit class was dumb. And I felt bad about it all day even though I definitely needed the sleep!

I am going to fucking scream. I’ve been getting robocalls all week from Hertz saying my car is overdue even though it’s not. Turns out it’s not overdue, they just sold the car and need it back. So I have to go back to the stupid fucking place tomorrow to return it and *hope* they have a car I can have in exchange and if not I’m fucked. Yay.

It’s currently barely above freezing with some insane wind that’s making it a hell of a lot colder. Cross your fingers that I can get a bunch of short rides in a small amount of time so I can get the bonus they're offering all in one go. If I don’t get a replacement car tomorrow I’m going to light things on fire.

Also I’m super pissy about the attitude the Hertz rep had on the phone with me. You would think that after a lifetime of getting shit for things that aren’t my fault I would not take things so personally, especially when I know I’m right. Instead I’m sitting here stewing about their fuck up and wanting to yell about how I had nothing to do with it so don’t blame me for it. Except they don’t give a shit anyway so it’s useless.

 

ha. Right. Not sure if it’s super directly related or just tangentially, but I just figured out why I get so distressed when I think I’m in trouble/someone is mad at me for something. Reallllly should have connected those dots long before now.
