Quick Bio: IT Consultant, Been in IT 25+ Years, Bounced around and landed as a traveling Consultant for a medium-sized Software Company. I love to cook & read, I travel for a living (although amount varies widely, sometimes I'm home for weeks, others I'm traveling for weeks on end), and trying to move out of Atlanta (plan in place, working to implement).

I disagree with Tank, the most important thing is actually to lift all the things! Therefore:

 

In the 2nd year of challenges, the Nerd Fitness workout was: Two Bear Complexes!

 

 

 

Scale these however you see fit. The lifted object can be anything. I used my 5 year old.

I need inspiration! How did you do that with a kid? I'm in a hotel room, so my available objects to lift are very limited.

Use your suitcase! See below for the person as an implement answer.

 
I have to ask... How does one back squat a 5 year old? [emoji16] Have the kid sit on your shoulders? Wish I could use my kid but lol she definitely doesn't have the balance to sit on my shoulders while I squat. GUESS I'D BETTER USE A BARBELL.


Pretty straightforward, just lower and add a back squat and push press to the below:

 Scale it down to bodyweight movement. Straightleg hamstring stretch to arms all the way up, bring arms out in a t shape to squat, back up bringing hands back vertical then bend back down into hamstring stretch.

No dice for me this time. OHP to behind the neck and back to OHP is a sure fire way for my shoulders and elbows to complain loudly and for an extended duration. [emoji20]


Did thing one. Uncertain whether thing two will happen.


As Grumble said, it can be scaled all the way back to body weight. When I say use any implement you want, I really do mean any implement. To experience the feel of the exercise, I’d suggest a broom stick.
