That's been my experience as well.  Our quality of life noticeably improved when she was 2.  Now, at 3 approaching 4, parenting seems downright easy compared to those first couple of years.  Being able to sleep all the way through the nights, in particular, made a world of difference.

HAZARD!!!!! I feel like I haven't talked to you in half a century. I hope you are doing well! I remember talking to you a lot before your kiddo was even born and right after she was - I hope everything is going well for you and your family. We really need to catch up.

this is just to lull you into ease before BAM, the mouthy attitude era starts!!  Don't get me wrong, sleeping through the night is good but your loss of sanity now comes from a child who is seven and believes they are seventeen!!!  Trust me, I love MidgetDee to death, but there are days I'm willing to sell her, some days I'm insanely proud of her and others when I literally am in tears cause I can't tell if she's a bad child I'm a bad parent or if this is just how the world works.....LOL  But it's fun.......I think.....

I have nothing to offer child-wise but I wanted to tell you that I re-downloaded Neko Atsume onto my iPad last week and it's still a blessing to us all these years later.

Ahhhhh I was SO into that game. But then I lost my save and I just couldn't make myself start over in collecting the rare cats so I... quit....................

 

 

 

 

Good thing we're not in challenge mode yet, because my grad school buddies came later in the evening and brought cannoli and eclairs, and I am only human. It was nice to hang out with adults who aren't family and just talk (and eat pastries....................) after the baby was in bed.

 

Rehearsal tonight. I'm probably going to sneak out to buy a couple steaks and that will be my contribution to Valentine's Day as a holiday or whatever (we have clearly been married too long; this day just feels like an unnecessary hassle).

Yes, they are pretty great! They were a key reason I made it through grad school, which was a truly miserable life experience that I would never want to repeat. They were the bright spot in the misery, though. I'm really glad they're back. ☺️

My pole skills are way gone from then, which makes it very inspiring to keep watching you level up your aerial skills on silk and lyra over all these years - keep rocking Lady Stars, baby and life and all

YAY HI AGAIN! I've been seeing you here and there on social media, but it's nice to catch up here as well. How are things?

 

I may be slightly crazy for trying to maintain something similar to my pre-baby fitness routine, but I've always been known for crazy..................................

oh you have amazing observation skills, because I am so rarely active there, well spotted, I feel honored  Things are going quite well actually, thank you and you know about those little ones - everyone always told me to appreciate the time when they are so small because it flies so quickly and while that is true, I must say I enjoy them no less now. They still drive me crazy at times and I still love them to bits and every age is super precious while having its unique challenges. 

I have to say, sleeping through and not having to change nappies makes a HUGE difference  I hope grandkids are a long way off yet

WEEK 1 DAY 1:

• Nutrition grab bag: +2 (IF and deficit)
• Lifting: none
• Flexibility: none
• Family time: none

 

Yesterday was an insane day which included 3 hours of rehearsal (thankfully not all in the air), some of my lyra bruises turning into bleeding gashes, grocery shopping, 6 loads of laundry, a baby who screamed through her second nap instead of sleeping (that second one is really hit or miss but I'm really hesitant to transition her into a one nap schedule this early), two diaper blowouts, and really, really poor mood/mental health. I did manage to eat sensibly, though. I'd have gotten the no junk credit if I hadn't eaten half a churro at Costco, but #noregrets and it fit my macros etc. I crawled into bed the second I could because I just wanted the day to end.

Yes, honestly I think she's much more fun now that she's interactive than she was when she was a tiny squalling meatball. 😋 I'm looking forward to when she walks independently, talks, has opinions and hobbies... etc. Se'll probably still drive me crazy sometimes, but that's basically her job, right?

I have read it to MidgetDee when she was a lil baby and even played the audio a few times...that is until she started to say her first words...lol, then we stopped

We still drop f-bombs in conversation despite our best efforts and I just KNOW she's going to be the kid who drops one in preschool and we'll get a concerned call from her teacher.............

I feel like swearing in Polish is so much worse than swearing in English. In English it’s more a colourful accent, in Polish the mildest curses are rather crude. Based on my very small understanding of Russian, which incidentally happens to almost exclusively overlap with the Polish swear words, I’m guessing it’s the same?

Due to international video games network, the teachers might even know some Russian Swears.
