Badjenetix
I’m over 50 looking to loose 100+ lbs. I’ve tried what feels like “everything” before without success. My biggest hurdles are lack of support which really pulls me down. I’m hoping to find that here, to make a connection or two and have some help with accountability. I just signed up for the program and today is day 1. I’m already having a hard time just at the “take a picture” step. Ick. 1 Quote Link to comment

Maybe there are different metrics or ways of measuring success you can use, additionally, to provide some encouragement? Anyway, welcome and good luck! Lady Morbuks
Love your pseudonym, very nice. Welcome & good luck! I'm new too, but I really like it here. Take a pic and you will never, ever have to share it with anyone except yourself. It was a leap for me, too, but it's nice to see incremental changes as well as feel them. And I second @Harriet is right that there are lots of ways to measure progress besides pounds. For me, I enjoy remembering that I used to be able to overhead press with only 10-lb dumbbells, and now I'm up to 30-lbs. Even though it's not on my resume, or my fb page, or whatever, it's a fun, personal gold star to me & from me. Everybody starts somewhere, right? You're in the right place. Quote Link to comment
Badjenetix
Thanks Lady - appreciated. I took the pictures and I've done the measurements... oh how depressing, but done... 1 2 Quote Link to comment
Lady Morbuks
I’m still waiting for my “before” pictures to show a considerable difference, but I can see it and feel it every day even if it’s not “OMG TRANSFORMATION”-worthy. Just lifted a 40 lb bag of dog food after a workout = no sweat. That’s some practical strength. You’ll get there too! 1 Quote Link to comment
