Terah - Survival of the fittest

It's so sad that your SIL's therapy got stopped, and that she is alone at this moment :(. I heard somewhere that the crisis hits the mentally ill extra hard, and this brings it really close.

I wasn't aware that we have traditional cake during easter, TIL! The recipe does look delicious, and I'm glad that yours turned out great 👍.

Have fun with training for your next jumping rope competition!

Maybe it's just something my family made up :D

It's mentally hard for us "sane" people. Let alone the not so sane...

Yesterday (second easter day, does the rest of the world celebrate that too?) we went for a walk through Ascore.

Yes, that is a made up place. In D&D. But we had fun :D

My mom read to the boys through the power of skype and all 3 seem to enjoy this very much.

Today it's back to the grind. Both boys are getting instructions with their entire class from their teacher using Microsoft teams. And they are working on their computer and tablet to complete school tasks. In a way it's a good thing that this virus is going on now, and not 10 years ago when we didn't have all these opportunities to keep society going.

Since I'm mostly recovered (still coughing a bit, but other than that I'm okay) I feel like it's time to get my shit together again. I've been eating way too much sweets (chocolate eggs and such) so to balance it out I'm not eating sugar. And since we've no where to go, I've been way too sedentary.

Snarky gave me an idea to reward myself: money :D There are new expensions for the sims in the making, so I'll earn coins in this challenge to buy them.

I can earn 1 euro for:

- Eating no sugar for one day

- Doing at least 30 minutes of exersise in one day (can be split up). Exersise can be anything like: taking a walk, doing ringfit, dance, yoga, weights etc.

This is me as well. It's hard to get up when there's no need, and it's easy to snack when it's close by. How did the first few days of your new goals go?

2 out of 3 days were a succes. PMS is making it really hard, so I'm giving myself some leeway

I got myself a few coins allready :)

My mom had send us whipped cream cake for our 12th wedding anniversary, so not as much coins as I could have ;) The cake was delicious though :D

Today I heard about a bear hunt. People are putting teddy bears behind their windows for kids to find, to give kids something to do during this time. I took my boys for a walk around the block. We found 43 bears in around 45 minutes. The boys loved it and we got a good walk in.

I love that you are doing the money reward too! I wish we had more coin money than paper here in the US, or that it was more commonplace. It's one of my favorite things about traveling outside the US, is looking at the coins.

We're not allowed to use them now, only card transactions in the stores now. But yeah, coins are pretty cool :D

We went bear hunting again on Sunday, after our weekly D&D session. William is home this week, so there will be extra D&D sessions played :D

Today is the king's birthday🏳️‍🌈. Normally that would mean lots of fun activities for the kids and people selling their old stuff on plaids on the streets. This year people are selling their stuff virtually and play games with their kids indoors.

Last Friday the PE teachers for the elementary schools in this town organized online king's games through facebook live, youtube and instagram. We got a list of stuff we needed beforehand (like balls and toilet paper rolls :D ). They did an awesome job and the boys loved it!

Today we will be traveling through Ascore some more (D&D) once the boys are done playing outside.

Oh, and I did a ringfit workout. I felt great 🏋️‍♀️

That bear-hunt and King's games sound so great! It keeps the kids engaged, while also letting them exercise. I was not aware of the teddy bear hunt, I will look at the windows here during my next walk to see if people are also doing that over here :).

This is not entirely true; card transactions are preferred, but not mandatory. There are enough people in NL that can only pay with cash that forbidding it would really hurt them, as they are usually the elderly or financially weaker people.

One of the things I dislike most about travelling to the US is the money; all the bills have the same size and colour, and if you're not careful, you end up with so many of them! Then there's vending machines that only take perfect bills, so you have to go through your entire stack to find a oner that is accepted. Staying in the euro-zone safes a lot of hassle like that ;).

it’s not blind people friendly, thats for sure. My dad has to fold his money in different ways to determine which bill is what. Some variation would be appreciated!  Yeah, vending machines are awful. More of them are taking cards, but the items are so overpriced, you’re better off going to a convenience store to get your snacks.

Let me know! I live in a part of the city with lots of small kids, I'm curious if other parts of the country are participating as well :)

I did not know this, but it .makes sense. I try to avoid irl shopping these days.

That sucks! The paper money here has marks on the side for blind people.

It's a thing here in Canberra, Australia! If my street ever got any traffic I'd put my bear in the window for sure.

The new Aussie notes do too, it's great. I'm not vision impaired but I really struggled with cash in the US since the variations are so subtle compared to the bold colours I'm used to!

THE BOYS ARE ALLOWED BACK AT SCHOOL NEXT WEEK!!!

Just for 2 days that week, but it's better than nothing :D  I don't know who's more exited: me or them ;)

In other news: I've been collecting so many coins. I've already got 16 euro's. No sugar is pretty easy as long as I'm not pms'ing ;) The next stuff pack for the sims 4 is coming soon (a knitting pack), and I've got enough coins to buy that one as my reward. I know there will be a gamepack and an expansion pack this year too, so I'm going to keep saving up :)

The hairdressers are still closed here, so I had cut Peter's and William's hair. It really got way too long. William was pretty easy as he sat still and gave me good feedback on where to cut a little more. Peter on the other hand kept tugging his head between his shoulders and complaining that he couldn't see the television when I needed to stand in front of him. Cory still wants his hair to be as long as Rapunsel, so luckily I don't have to do his hair too 😎

Aw, Cory is still living fabulous I see and I am very glad of this.

(I am assuming Cory is J?)

I'm more than adequate. Leave Kanye out of this.

On the teddybear-part: I've only seen 5 so far, and I checked the houses in multiple streets. It's probably an internet-bubble thing that hasn't arrived here yet.
