Just prepping my next challenge here, guys. Because the next challenge includes May 25th, and also is timely.

No very dark green?  I must say I am a little disappointed.

Lilacs. There should be bonus points for lilacs. Or wearing purple if the shrubbery does not do its part.

Speaking of lilacs, my bush is blooming for real this year. I transplanted it 7.5 years ago. Last year it tried and made one small head of flowers. This year there are several.

Not that you'll see, anyway...

Probably there will be boiled eggs. Possibly not this week.

Absinthe. Why is there no absinthe?

I'm a cheap drunk. Like Vimes. But I do have a number of wormwood based amaro in the vermouth family.

I'm glad it's finally getting into the swing of things, and just in time

In the interests of hydrating and cutting down grocery events, I'm getting a carbonator. Also, I currently have a ton of diet-compliant bars and things, so I'm starting the day with iced coffee and granola bars, and it's convenient and great. Throwing money at this was a good choice.

I'm starting to remove a few things I couldn't easily quantify. But I'm seeing the biggest downfall of my plan, and it's sleep. I'm still having massive sleep failures.

Also, my apathy today is high. Incredibly high.

Thank you! Thank you so much for a reminder. Almost forgot it's time.

Second and second.

Just wondering, If my lilacs can keep the flowers for next three weeks... Welp, if not, I'll wear dried one. And I will dry it in actual Night Watch ;)

Yay for good food and beverage options!

I wish I had something positive to offer about the sleep failures. Brains are difficult.

My solution to apathy is to apply chocolate. I find that caffeine helps me not be grouchy about being tired. That might not play well with apathy. Chocolate, though, is a happy drug. YMMV

And as an extra bonus, if you eat enough of it, it counts as a meal!

I finally got my hands on more disinfectant: my grocery delivery was able to get me bleach. Today, after washing my high-touch surfaces, I bleach-sprayed them. Also the sink and most of the bathroom while I was at it, because this stuff apparently doesn't stay good for long. Tomorrow I will spray the deliveries.

I have been keeping on top of Mount Dishmore as I go, which is somewhat unlike me. Also somewhat on top of folding the clothes when the dryer finishes.

Most of my lettuce and herbs are doing well. I started new seeds for the ones that didn't make it. I'm having terrible luck germinating spinach, man. And half my strawberries tried to flower this week; I removed the flowers, they're too young to be parents.

I'm trying a new scheduling tool involving post-it notes and half-hour time blocking.  I am now ten minutes late for yoga.

Yoga done. God, I'm so incredibly tight. I needed that.

Now it's time for my Epsom salt and lavender cold bath, to make my muscles happy and get ready for bedtime, in the hopes of actually sleeping.

So I think that's Sweeper points, a few Dr Lawn points, some Vetinari points, and maybe some Vimes points. Oh, and I'm belatedly drinking my cocktail, so maybe Lady Meserole, too.

On a whiteboard? Do share if/when you feel like it.

Happy to hear yoga did you well

Generally, or with a list of specific gripes?

Sounds like it is time for the emergency hot cocoa. The sing-a-long should probably be something metallic. Tell the world why you hate it. Loudly, with rude gestures. Then have a soothing drink and maybe a nap.

Just generally. And I believe next time I will implement your plan.

Barnaby Ketch was an assassin. Probably. Maybe. He seemed ordinary enough; a thin middle-aged man in a faded suit, with graying ginger hair. He looked like a clerk, and indeed worked for the Patrician's office of special accountants. He was certainly very good at bookkeeping.

He was also sitting on corner of Sara Kingdom's desk in an unusually familiar manner, slicing off pieces of apple and conveying them to his mouth on tip of an exceedingly sharp pocketknife.

He had to be, surely? It wasn't unknown for the Patrician to embed scholarship boys from the assassin's school into the special offices.

Perhaps not. It wouldn't do be overly paranoid.

Then again, he had been appointed Sara's minder by Lord Vetinari, and she didn't need an accountant. She might, in the Patrician's view, require an assassin.

She sighed.

Ketch passed her a slice of apple from the tip of his knife. Sara took it.

"Barnaby..." she said. After all, it was outside working hours, and he'd been her minder long enough that surely she could use his given name occasionally.

"Yes?" Ketch cut himself another slice of apple.

"Things get worse before they get better, don't they."

Ketch thought about this silently for a moment. "Often enough to give rise to the saying," he said finally. "There seems to be some truth to it. Especially now, yes?"

May, late May, was a strange month in the palace. Officially, no one noticed. Unofficially, one noticed. The buds were on the lilac trees.

"I'm not coping well with worse, I'm afraid," said Sara. "I'm not even coping particularly well with better."

Barnaby looked at her kindly. "Swings and roundabouts," he said. "You'll come up with something." He folded up his knife and shifted off her desk.

Barnaby was very nice for an assassin, but not always very helpful, thought Sara grumpily. They'd known each other a long time. At the very least, he should offer to kill someone for her.
