RES Posted April 30, 2020 Report Share Posted April 30, 2020 Not changing much this go around, removing the unplanned aspect because who can plan anything right now? We may be going back to the office this month, we may not...games have been postponed for May. Food, adding tracking to it, this is helping (as much as I hate to admit it) with making me more aware of what I'm actually consuming. Making the plan was good but there was a lot of mindless eating going on lately and eating past the point of being full. Exercise, with the addition of Prime I was reminded I purchased an Academy membership...hadn't really used it so decided I would start with that. Want to continue with my walking/interval work but that is not going to be tracked just yet. Something is going on with my knee and I don't want to overdo it Life, sleep has been going well since WFH started, keeping this on there just because it's important. Posting in my thread and taking time for me items are tracked as well. The Plan.... Food: Make 24 hour plan, eat on plan when hungry, stop when full. Track (honestly) to see what needs improved Exercise: Body weight every other day (tracked) aim to level up by end of challenge. 6,000 steps a day, 5/6 days treadmill workout (not tracked) Life: Get 7 hours of sleep a night, post at least 3 times a week in my thread. Take time to read, crochet, or journal...actually pulling out the guitar and attempting to learn how to play it will fall under this as well... So, 1/2 way till my next birthday...1 lb a week...26 lbs down is the goal between now and then Tomorrow (typing this on April 30th, May 1st is my anniversary) is my 5th wedding anniversary...last year at this time I wondered if we would make it to this point. Things, currently, are pretty good. Since WFH has forced me into having a lot more time with myself and in my head than I would like I've been doing a lot of reading, listening to podcasts, and working on myself. The realization I was co-dependent was something I realized last year when things fell apart, I've come to realize even more in the last 6 weeks just how true that really is/was with the reading, podcasts, and thought work I've been able to do. D and I have had several in depth conversations about this and us and it's something I'm trying to work on...habits of a lifetime are not easy to change. I can't control or make her do anything she does not choose to do, nor should I try/want to, and vice versa. Love is a choice, you choose to love someone, right now we are choosing to love each other and try to work this out...so far it's going pretty good. There are still things that frustrate the heck out of us about the other but those can be lived with or worked on (no my bathroom cabinet isn't painted yet ) She has also done a lot of work on herself regarding the not expecting me to do/taking advantage of me (unintentionally) just because my default is to take care of it (others) at the expense of myself. To the point she'll call me out sometimes "I don't need/want you to do this for me/let me do this for myself" where before it was easier for her to let me, or for me to just do it without thinking about it. Dumbledore and I have been in a legal relationship for 30 years, and were together 7 years before that and we are still working on our relationship. Most (I hope) of the major things have been fixed, but there are always more things. Quite a few of the things that come up now are ghosts of problems past. I say something that reminds Dumbledore of a negative pattern from years ago, and he gets instantly defensive. I do much the same. It takes a long time to stop being hypervigilant about difficult issues. On the bright side, it means your relationships are getting better. I've seen enough old couples that snip at each other and don't even try to fix things. They just work around each other. Went for a +225 mile ride on Saturday to Swanee State Park. Beautiful ride and great day for it, my first time ridding with a group and anyone other than D in over 30 years... Put together and executed a 'domestic rangering' schedule to keep domestic duties from becoming an issue again. My previous attempts generally consisted of laundry and meal prep on Sundays and hoping no one stops by without warning for the rest of it. Since things are improving between D and I the odds of our friends coming to visit have increased and I'd like to not be caught unprepared or have to rush at the last minute if we do get a heads up. My base recipe is 1 egg, 1/2 cup cheese (usually mozzarella) and 1 teaspoon coconut flour. We have "thirsty Thursday" events happening and a movie night next Saturday (limited to 1000 people) I'm trying to decide if I want to get up and go to the gym at 5am, or continue to work out at home. Both have pluses and minutes, the gym I tend to be more likely to go work out, home I can get adequate sleep...Likely will stick with home for now until I see that I'm making too many excuses not to. Not gonna lie, that was mine as well...yes, it is an outdoor stadium, one of the largest in MiLB actually with an 11,000 person capacity. I've seen 1000 people in it, it really does look empty, that doesn't make me feel any better though! LOL Thank you! RES Posted May 31, 2020 Author Report Share Posted May 31, 2020 Last night was a lot of fun, we had less than 350 people attend, lots of positive feedback on the event. We will probably be doing more of these types of events to generate some type of revenue. I realized just how much I've slacked off lately, normally this time of year I'd be used to running around the stadium, not anymore! 😮 About mid-way through the movie the peaceful protest that had been going on less than a mile away turned violent, I'm not 100% certain what happened so I won't speak to it, but was an interesting ride home to say the least... The Plan.... Food: Make 24 hour plan, eat on plan when hungry, stop when full. Track (honestly) to see what needs improved 5/7, 7/7 tracking Exercise: Body weight every other day (tracked) aim to level up by end of challenge. 6,000 steps a day, 5/6 days treadmill workout (not tracked) 3/3 Body weight workouts, 4 treadmill workouts and 2 days over 6000 steps Life: Get 7 hours of sleep a night, post at least 3 times a week in my thread. Take time to read, crochet, or journal...actually pulling out the guitar and attempting to learn how to play it will fall under this as well...6/7 Sleep, 3/3 posting, 4 'me' things. Food, Sunday I overdid it on the food, Saturday we splurged because of how late I got home and ate Firehouse Subs instead of leftovers. Been doing good getting up and working out at home, had to cut a few treadmill walks short due to time...need to plan better on these.
