How about an ex member of the prototypical boyband?

They are great, and I recognize their musical depth and talent, but you can't tell me the early Beatles aren't a boy band.

I learned something today.

I've always loved her voice, with or without the Supremes.

She is wonderful

Where the Housemartins a boy band?  I'm saying yes!

I'll allow it!

My pick. This song is made by the sample of the spoken word essay about feminism by Chimamando Ngozo Adichie.

I am so guilty of seeing Beyoncé as some sort of bubblegum pop act but I see things like this every now and then and feel bad because there is so much more to her and her music than that!

I should definitely have a deep dive at some point!

Tuesday Update

I woke up feeling less motivated than the day before so I just played video games most of the day. I then got in an hour on the elliptical so all wasn't lost, and my eating was mostly fine. I am snacking a little too much which I should probably address if I ever want to get back to where I was a couple of summers ago, it's just really hard to get myself into the mindframe of depriving myself of food when things are already so depressing in the wider world. Gotta be done, I guess, but it maybe ain't gotta be done right now.

We played Pandemic in the evening, then watched Gregg Wallace shout at some crisps. I wasn't tired when we came to bed so I read for a couple of hours. I am now reading six books at the same time. I really fucking love books ❤️

TH woke me up early this morning because the rat man was on his way so I had to quickly get ready. It says something of the dystopia we're heading for, where the only social contact I am having is the man who is coming to exterminate the cannibalistic rats that have moved closer to humanity than we're allowed to get to each other because their food sources are depleted as we're in a never ending cycle of work and no play or social contact. Huxley called it. Regardless, I really get dressed up for our rat man. I put on real clothes and do my hair for him. I hope he appreciates it ❤️ He has recommended more visits too so I have more reasons to stop myself descending into the ugliness.

Today I am going to go lingerie shopping from the comfort of my sofa.

You really should. I am convinced Beyonce did the bubble gum pop thing for as long as it took to get our attention, and then one day lost her shit and said I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY.

Lemonade is a fantastic album. Watch the music videos too if you can. They add a lot to the overall work of art that is that masterpiece.

Oooh that lingerie looks pretty. I always find lace to be itchy, but so pretty....

getting dolled up for the rat man makes sense. He better appreciate it! Lol. I havent brushed my hair in a week, maybe I will get dolled up for your rat man too. 😂

Ah see one very good thing about having mad big boobs is that lace itself is never supportive enough so there is always an inner lining behind the lace as back up which tends to be less itchy! That bra I am having to get in a much smaller size as it doesn't go up to mine so it's not going to have the inner lace but it's not going to be much of a problem because lets be honest, that isn't a bra to wear, really. It's a bra to take off.

RatMan didn’t really think you needed more visits, but after you got all dolled up...

I feel like he might fancy TH actually. He's always very insistent he gets to say hello to him, even when TH is clearly very busy in a meeting.

The most 80's song & video I have ever seen!

I have to hold my breath throughout watching that video because fear of the nip slip is enough on it's own but she's risking a double whammy of a lip slip too.

Wednesday Update

TH woke me up early because Ratman was on his way so I quickly got dressed and let my hair down. We had our usual conversation - we have literally the same conversation every week but he is a really nice man. I think he's shy. After this I caught up with my finances, bought a large quantity of lingerie and then booted up AC. My mom texted me to tell me my delivery had come to hers - my organic veg box and I also started an organic cheese club so I popped over to grab those. The man at the top of her cul-de-sac has been ill with coronavirus (although he hasn't because he actually tested negative but he was on his belly on a ventilator for weeks and if it looks like the 'rona it's the fucking 'rona amirite) and he went for a walk up the street. We watched him out the kitchen window. On two sticks and could still barely make it. He walked about 100 metres and back and it took him twenty minutes, he looked like he was learning to walk again. And yet since he tested negative none of the people he lives with self isolated or reduced their visits from family even during lockdown. There was more gossip too - there is a houseful of police officers that live next door to my mom and one of them had his girlfriend stay over. My mom said "it's illegal to have sex with someone you don't live with now and I think they should know that! She stayed over but I suppose they might not have had sex - your dad's bedroom is right next door and he didn't hear anything". So I reminded her you don't have to do it so loud the neighbours can hear, and it's the actual staying over that's illegal. But I love how they're getting all their drama from their neighbours now ❤️

I got back but while I was out something massive happened at TH's work sending him off a cliff edge a bit and he spent the rest of the night there. He's still there now. I am hoping he gets some closure today because it's all consuming and I can't do much to help except talk it through with him and make him endless cups of camomile tea so that's what I've been doing. I don't blame him for feeling how he feels, the whole situation is utterly bizarre and it's hard to fathom exactly why this is happening.

I got an hour on the elliptical done, then we had a beer in the garden and I made us a fry up for tea because it's been ages since we had one. We played Pandemic in the evening and then had a tasting plate with all our bougie cheeses. TH was still stressed at night but he managed to fall asleep. I stayed up reading for a while.

That's really stupid of them. That's the kind of stuff that stresses me out these days. People are dumb. There was a news correspondent here who tested negative 4 times but almost certainly had covid-19 (serious case, on a respirator for several days).  He thought it was likely b/c he got tested pretty late in the disease and actual viral load probably low by that point.

That seems pretty low-risk to me, even though technically illegal. But I love that your parents are on top of it.

This is the beginning of a certain genre of cinema

tbere is no bad era of Cher, but I have a soft spot for the “gypsies tramps and thieves” period

That makes sense, I didn't think of that. We're also doing a lot of posting out of the tests and given how deep you have to swab for both the throat and the nasal tests and how uncomfortable this is, that a lot of people aren't going deep enough is thought to be resulting in a lot of false negatives too.

There was a lot of THEY BANNED BONKING! furore after that decision, because we're British and we like nothing more than a bit of cheeky slap and tickle. It was a SCANDAL.

I do not want to even think of the murky abyss that is rat man porn.

Although thinking about it, Ratman is one of the few instances where men doing their jobs isn't a turn on for me.

I'd like to point out that the dress above is 98% fringe

You say that line it’s a bad thing. Did you watch Sonny & Cher as a kid? I vaguely remember the cheesy comedy sketches but none of the singing. I think I was paying attention to the wrong parts. I also wonder if Cher was the first female celebrity with ripped abs.

As far as banning bonking, the new guidance from New York is suggesting glory holes. Which doesn’t seem fair for 51% of the population.
