Stronkey Kong
I'm giving the hamster wheel a rest tonight. I'll just do it like last week and do Sun, Mon, Wed, Thu workouts, or whatever equivalent gets me to 2000 calories burned by next friday. I ate yummy food today. First, I had a salad made with romaine lettuce, onion, feta cheese, sliced grapes, red wine vinaigrette dressing... and the star of the show, sliced fig and feta chicken sausage... that was awesome. Then later I made a tofu, broccoli, and carrot stirfy with garlic sauce. And I made a really nice lentil soup, a whole pot to last the week and then some, and one bowl for dinner. I added some canned tomatoes to the soup, and just like that fuck off and all to the blood type diet. Now it's just Mediterranean. I also made a cucumber salad with onions and craisins with a little bit of balsamic vinegar. I topped it with roasted, salted pumpkin seeds. I caught up on my lecture videos and readings in my EE course. But I spent most of the day procrast-organizing my lab. I hung up the whiteboard and put together my organizer cart last night. Then today I sat down at the table and organized all my tools, materials, components, office crap etc. And a bunch of packages arrived today, so I have more solder, electrical tape, a mini vice, an aligator-quadropus -- what else would you call a work holder with four aligator clips attached to flexy arms -- some wire. And FML I ordered a new soldering iron/re-work station. I had a basic soldering iron, but the wattage is low and it lacks temperature control... the new one will have digital temp control, double the power, and a hot air gun for desoldering chips etc. The old one will be demoted for quick and dirty work. Tomorrow I will need to work my ass off trying to finish up this project, that I"m now a week behind on, and taking quizzes. I think for now though, I'm just gonna relax and play video games until the sun comes up. But if I get bored with that I might come back and see if I can start solving circuit equations with linear algebra. 7 Quote ===================================================================================================== --Stronkey Kong-- Link to comment

Stronkey Kong
Nutrition: Still tracking diet on... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jag6eSOsi69is3HXipmECDZzUL6E1ryeSxoKp-Y5eJI/edit?usp=sharing And I added my weight/body composition and other stuff to... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1auR9MMvqi4AdYN2afjqD33chhwSyB-TvUzmI7hVz42o/edit?usp=sharing I've got a lot of data there to crunch numbers on what works later on. Hamster Wheel: Getting ready to jump on after this post. After that, I'm making scrambled eggs. World Domination: I worked on my EE course tonight. It turns out I was further behind than I thought. The most recent segment had a second list of videos that was hiding on me. So I need to watch those, and there are more readings to go with them. I should be able to catch up on those by mid week. Then my project I thought was due... turns out that is the final project, they just introduce it in week 2 so you have time to work on it until week 5 when it is due. So I got started on it and passed the quiz for that week's materials. For reference, I'm halfway through week 3, and I should be starting week 4. With that I finally got something working, which mean I wrote some basic code to get this prototyping platform up and running. Built the code, programmed it to the chip and plugged that into a bread board, wired it up to an LCD display, and it printed what I told it to print on the display (after several recursions of this process that is). The point is, now I'm up and running and can build and debug things on this platform. And the lab is functional. I was able to find the things I needed because they are now in drawers and little boxes and such. Though I need to label some things to make finding them a bit faster. Alright. Time to get on the wheel. 7 Quote ===================================================================================================== --Stronkey Kong-- Link to comment

Stronkey Kong
Sorry to disappoint, but I did not. In the 15 or so minutes that it took to drive home from work after that post, the rage subsided and I was just done. Two years at this job, the last two nights have been the worst two shifts I've worked. I've just been running a tough job that requires a lot of attention and things go wrong quickly and pile up and you can't get anything done. Oh! And I managed to slice open the index and middle finger of my right hand leading to more downtime and a bloody mess.Thankfully I'm a lefty, but still. I was a little disappointed when my manager said we couldn't get overtime this week because we would be closed Friday night because of Memorial Day weekend, but now I'm looking forward to a four day weekend. 7 Quote ===================================================================================================== --Stronkey Kong-- Link to comment

Also, this happens a lot when I'm dieting. It seems like my tolerance drops right along with the number of calories I consume, and my susceptibility to hangovers increases in similar if not greater proportion. And now... Four Day Weekend!
