We will grow those roots deep. In that soil I think your roots will grow fast and deep indeed. Even if you just barely miss the goal, you'll be much further down the road than if you'd given up. You totally got this. Ann of Owlshire
17.4 miles to the Trollshaws as of Thursday’s total... I can get a few miles in today and a few miles tomorrow (we’d planned a hike for Saturday but it’s looking like the one day this week that the weather is going to tank...), so I think missing it by a single digit number is looking likely. I sometimes wish I could just go and walk and walk and walk just to squeak it in, but responsibilities, you know. At least I can go into the next challenge more informed about what’s realistic. And it was all a bit arbitrary anyway. I think the current Best Case Scenario on the move is now October. There are at least six families in the chain we’re on—delays and hiccups were pretty much unavoidable. I’m doing better on not having evening snacks (I don’t most of the time), and eating actual breakfast and lunch (much of the time). My weight went up, and then settled back to where I started. It could be muscle, or maybe I’ve just found my maintenance sweet spot. At the moment I’m not going to overthink it, because I just don’t have the bandwidth for it. My weight not going (or staying) up is a win in itself. 4 Quote Sometimes you have to wander to find your way home… 🇺🇸 Adventurer 🇬🇧 🌳🦉🌳 Epic Quest: Tales of Owlshire Link to comment
