chemgeek
Ok so one benefit of covid is it's making the province modernize. I just did the whole thing online for license renewal! 1 Quote Link to comment
Mistr
Hiya! You may be late, but you beat me in getting your challenge up. Glad to hear you are back at work and cleared for doing your physical activities. I envy you your government right now. Things are opening up in your province because they are getting covid under control. Things are opening up here because our government is stupid and doesn't care who dies. 1 Quote Level 68 Viking paladin My current challenge Battle log Link to comment
chemgeek
I normally do my run on the weekend but today I felt like going for a run so I did. I did the same distance as Saturday in about 2/3 the time. Difference? Today it's 22C out, Saturday it was almost 40C with humidity. XD I have (re) discovered that while I don't always feel like exercise I do always feel better after exercise. 5 hours ago, Mistr said: Hiya! I can't even imagine what it's like to live there. I am so sorry your government is placing corporate profits and election year image management over managing the crisis effectively. chemgeek
Today is rainy so I had to use product to fight hair frizz. Unfortunately I used a bit too much and instead of looking like a puffball I instead look like a greaseball. Quote Link to comment

Honestly, after having watched Chernobyl, it's like living that out. A whole bunch of incompetent governance and an embarrassment of a country and government that really doesn't like to be embarrassed. 1 Quote Work like a farmer, train like an athlete, fight like a soldier. 2 Tim. 2:3-6 BATTLE! Guess I'll do some weights at home? Seriously none of my workout plans are working out this week but at least I am being active? 2 Quote Link to comment
chemgeek
Today my partner has a friend over and if they want to walk I will walk with them and if they don't I am going for a run because I haven't had intense exercise since Monday and my brains are melting out my ears from pent up energy. 1 Quote Link to comment
chemgeek
10.5K walk yesterday, gardening and lawn work today! Also I had cashew chicken for lunch and I am very happy because it was very good 1 Quote Link to comment
chemgeek
Yesterday I worked on the lawn and garden for 6.5 hours. Today I will go on a hike with a few friends for a few hours Activity! 1 Quote Link to comment
chemgeek
Yesterday I went for 2.5 hour "hike" with a friendand my partner. Mildly disappointed that what was advertised as a hiking trail was really more of a groomed walking path. 😕 I had wanted to tackle one of the more challenging trails that would hopefully have been some actual hiking but I got outvoted. Next time I will push to get the more challenging trails in. (Also: seriously, Canadian parks, quit claiming groomed walking paths are "hiking trails". IT'S NOT A TRAIL IF YOU'RE WALKING ON A GRAVEL FRIGGIN ROAD. It's a groomed walking path. There's a difference! Yes this is a pet peeve of mine.) 1 Quote Link to comment

chemgeek
So far so good. Back pain flare ups are better the next day so all is good. Weight going in the wrong direction but activity is going right at least. 2 Quote Link to comment
chemgeek
COVID hair is officially to the point I need to tie it back and now I am walking around looking like a middle school kid with a half-ponytail. But hey at least it's not poking me in the eyes. Quote Link to comment

chemgeek
Woohoo. My back injury recovery self out-hiked over rough ground two ppl who are reasonably fit, WHILST loaded with a 30lb rucksack of water, first aid supplies and emergency food they didn't have. I am feeling more than a little smug rn. I just need to get my back tolerant of full pushups and oblique peels and then I am at 100% I would say. Also: weirdly, I can do spinning jump kicks but can't do full push ups. Can hike with a 30lb pack over rough terrain but can't do a side peel. Backs are weird. 4 Quote Link to comment
