fleaball
I showed up, that's gotta count for something right? I'm still not feeling challengey but I should probably attempt something. Let's consider these last two weeks prep for a real challenge. 7/12-7/18: - seriously for reals finish off all the non-vegan products I have and stop buying more so this stops being a goal - figure out a schedule for how often to check my blood sugar and follow it - also figure out a schedule for eating since I'm bad at doing that - also also figure out how grocery shopping works - dust and reorganize TWO shelves in my room. just two. - take all my vitamins daily 7/19-7/25: - maybe get blood tests done before doctor appointment next week? - keep checking blood sugar - figure out some kind of realistic exercise schedule - dust and reorganize two more shelves - keep taking vitamins - figure out a meditation schedule apologies to the rest of the world for the dates; I never got used to DD/MM even when I was living in countries that did it that way.

fleaball
Goals for Saturday: - refill my pill holder for the week - read through at least one of the cookbooks I have on my library app and return it - go to CVS to pick up my meds and a birthday card for my brother. who's 30 today. on paper, at least. I wanted to walk to CVS because it’s less then a quarter mile, but it’s going to be 89F and super fucking humid. Miiiight be a bad idea. Even if I could afford it it would be stupid for me to have a car right now, but I really miss being able to just go to whenever I want. Bah. Actually. Scrap that idea. If I were to walk I’d want to wear shorts and a tank top and I haven’t shaved anything in months. Didn’t stop me from wearing that exact outfit to the dermatologist, but I figured if the grossest thing they’d ever seen was a girl who hadn’t shaved in a while, they weren’t doing their jobs right. Okay I’m mostly joking. I actually just hate body hair, especially when the wind is blowing. But I’m also far too lazy to keep up with it. 8 Quote Level 69 Battle Kitten Battle Log | Current Challenge MyFitnessPal | Fitbit | Duolingo Ici je vis la vie que j'ai choisie Je suis partie pour reconstruire ma vie C'est dit, c'est ainsi Link to comment

fleaball
omg. I love my cats and they’re both lower maintenance than the other humans in this house. But Jesus Christ I wish they would just chill the fuck out for ten minutes and let me breathe. also, does anyone know how many piranhas it takes to erase a ~6ft human from existence? and where to get that many piranhas? asking for a friend.
Tanktimus the Encourager
I want you to know you're the only person on here who I don't go all Texan on when they talk about the heat. Mainly because with the humidity up there you aren't wrong, and with certain climate control issues in your home due to other people you deserve to get to complain all you want. 89 degrees and high humidity is a lot more miserable when your home isn't a comfortable temp. Also, you aren't being fair to yourself when you say your vocab has a lot of four letter words. When you conjugate f-bombs they have more than four letters. 5 Quote Current Challenge "By the Most-Righteous-and-Blessed Beard of Sir Tanktimus the Encourager!" - Jarl Rurik Harrgath Link to comment
ZachPSU
I grew up spending alot of my childhood in Georgia, at a military base just coastal enough to get hot AF, and just inland enough that the coastal breeze ran outta steam just before getting to us. Humid and hot sucks. Im in the northeast now in NY and its been like high 80s low 90s here and humid for a few days and people are starting to blame political leaders lol 2 Quote Training Log/Progress Pics: Harder to Kill Current Challenge: Zach from Water, to Water Challenge History: 1 2 3 4 Link to comment

If it were just heat I’d be grumpy but I could live with it. I spent 8 weeks in Jordan from June-August and it was a bummer but after a certain point the heat didn’t really register. The humidity is what kills me. (Related: if anyone gets to go to the Dead Sea, don’t go in the summer. Probably the most physically unpleasant experience of my life. Ugh.) re my vocabulary: I see your point. I wasn’t counting conjugations as separate words. 8 hours ago, ZachPSU said: I grew up spending alot of my childhood in Georgia, at a military base just coastal enough to get hot AF, and just inland enough that the coastal breeze ran outta steam just before getting to us. I stopped saying “my mom” years ago and “my dad” like decades ago, but it doesn’t bother me when people call them “your mom/dad” because that’s just how we talk. But no, central air isn’t really a thing up here. In new construction it is I guess, but not old houses unless you do some expensive upgrades. I think it’s just climate change tbh. Either that or as a child I didn’t notice the humidity as much? fleaball
lmfaoooo petty bitch wins for once. My father has a stash of birthday cards he got at the dollar store or something. Yesterday I asked if he had one appropriate for my brother. While he was searching for one and complaining that my brother only wants money (he’s an adult who buys what he wants when he wants it, why is this an issue?) I said I was just going to Venmo him money and probably not give him a card bc the only one I had was the one my brother gave me for my birthday this year but didn’t write anything in. My father got all huffy and pissed, “Did he really do that?!” and like shaking his head disapprovingly. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to say “well you didn’t get me anything so he still beat you there.” He says yes of course he did. “Nope, you told me at 10pm you meant to get me a card and leave it on my bed but you forgot. And that was the end of it.” Which is a true fucking story. I wasn’t sure if it was some kind of weird passive aggressive thing or what. So today while I reminded him for the third time that he said he still needed to put money in my brother’s card, he handed me $25 and said there’s a card for me downstairs as well. Kind of annoying and still insanely low effort, but I’m not going to turn down free money.

fleaball
Today’s date is sticking out in my head for some reason but I don’t know why. I’m not about to go back through all my posts from 2017 to figure it out either. Meh. Did my Saturday goals. Did not do the only daily goal on Sunday because I slept way too late and didn’t want to be taking vitamins at what should be dinnertime and then again with breakfast the next day. Hopefully doing better today, but also it’s Monday. Humidity is supposed to fuck off thanks to incoming thunderstorms, so my level of productivity will likely depend on how severe the storms are, because anxiety. Fun story: I told my father that my brother had the same reaction as him when asked to help me take out my one suture when the time comes. (Well the same in spirit. Instead of walking out of the room by brother immediately said “hell no. I will throw up.”) I didn’t expect him to say yes either, I was just poking at him because I’m a bitch. My father stopped what he was doing and was like “wait- oh- I didn’t realize you were- don’t you have to go to the clinic to have it done?” I wasn’t serious but I’m okay with him thinking I was. Then he goes on about how when he had something removed from his back once he almost passed out when they removed the stitch(es). And you know what? That’s fine. I’m not judging anyone for being squicked out by this. What I am judging them both on is the fact that I am also massively squicked out by wound care and gross shit and bodily fluids. And literally had to stop myself from throwing up the first several times I changed the bandages on my father’s ear because it was so fucking raw and gross. But I did it. For 8 fucking weeks. And yet neither one of them can snip a single piece of thread from a tiny two-week old wound that will be entirely healed by then. I’m currently on the fence about making an appointment at my doctor’s office or just doing it myself. They told me how and it sounds easy (must be or they wouldn't tell people they could do it?) but it’s in that spot where boob meets side meets armpit and I’m not sure I can manage the angle on my own. Which is also probably a good reason not to have a male family member do it because there’s no way it wouldn’t be awkward. But I’m still fucking mad on principle. Right. Cats have eaten. I’m going to bed.

Unrelated: my incision is red and angry. as things usually are 5 days after you have something carved out of your body. It’s not oozing or warm or anything infected-looking.
