about assassins:

To assassins, the world is one giant playground. Every building can be climbed, every gap can be jumped, every obstacle can be conquered. Assassins spend most of their time training with functional body weight exercises as that’s usually the only thing they need to lift.

Fearless, calculated, and efficient, Assassins have low body fat percentages because extra weight could mean the difference between life and death on a mission. They have solid endurance as well, allowing them to progress through an obstacle-filled environment without breaking a sweat.

Primary Attributes: Agility, stamina

Training: Parkour, free running, rock climbing.

Real World example: Parkour traceurs, free runners, most athletes on Ninja Warrior.

about druids

Druids are one with nature. Often vegan or vegetarian, they specialize in being one with themselves, finding balance in everything. These peaceful folk spend a majority of their time training in the arts of yoga, meditation, and tai chi. Strength training is only done if necessary, as most druids aren’t interested in massive muscles or explosive power. Druids also follow a minimalist diet, high in vegetables, fruits, and nuts. Some eat meat, but only enough to get sufficient protein. Processed foods are the enemy.

Primary attributes: agility, flexibility

Training: meditation, yoga, tai chi

Real life example: Yoga instructors.

Awesome!!!!!! I am so excited to have a team! I can't wait to stalk you guys and then we can all kick some ass, jump over a handrail, and run away!

BUT FIRST

we need a name!

Any ideas?

Well, except for myself (and this is only partially true as my other shortened alias is Aux (Ox)) we all have names that start with the letter A. So the first thing that pops into my noggin is the A-Team. Although that doesn't feel like a good 'guild' name to me in the RP sense.

Woo! Such ass will be kicked.

A-team is brilliant, but again, not RP. If that matters. I'd be cool with it if everyone else is.

Or something like the Balancing Ninjas of Awesome. I'm trying to think of a cool word that represents druids like ninja does asassin and just.. failing horribly.

Bunny Ninjas?

The Guild? (Sorry, still hoping to work some Pratchett in since I am now an assassin.)

I'm pretty cool with the A-Team too, though, especially since my, um, lack of comportment and tendency to skip class always kept me from competing when I was on teams in school, so I was (barely) fast enough for the A-Team and still stuck on the B-Team 90% of the time until they gave up and sent me to the alternative school, where I was pretty much captain of the smoking behind the gym team. Oh, maybe more like the trainer. I had stiff competition there!

So to introduce myself, I am alr. Those of you who stalk on fb know my actual name but I try to keep it a little private. I am a 34 y.o. single mom and the running specialist at a sporting goods store so geeking out over fitness really is my life. I plan to study for NASM personal trainer certification as soon as I get my tax refund. Right now I am injured (just a sprain) and can't keep up my 20-30 mile running and walking habit and am struggling not to get chunky, which is hard because I got used to eating like a teenage boy to fuel that habit. SO I am trying to log everything I eat, come up with 7 hours of one-legged workouts per week that won't worsen the lopsidedness I have happening these days (I really need better shoulder chest and arm strength anyway to help compensate for being the girliest little traceuse EVAH. It is going to take super strength to get myself where I want to be with vaults. And emphasis on little. Most handrails come up to my armpits, which is why I was working box jumps trying to get better height when I sprained my ankle.) and trying to write down what I am spending and come up with a better budget because, uh, I work retail with two kids. We are PO. Every penny counts.

OH, for role play purposes, I am Private Perks, crippled half human assassin reporting for duty! I don't care if I'm 5'3", I still claim to be half elf, because they dress better and I am NOT A GNOME. Pixie I could deal with, and have been accused of resembling, but GNOMES ARE TOTALLY OUT OF THE QUESTION. Also, in Lords and Ladies, it is mentioned that elves can throw together bits of whatever scraps and castoffs they find with some string and whatever else is on hand and end up making everyone else feel underdressed. I am all about that kind of thrift and really should work a little harder at not wearing jeans, t-shirts, running shoes, and a hoodie every day.

I was gonna pick pixie for the short thin option, but I figured the guys would be offended. : P You can be a pixie if you want! Or a short elf!

If we go with The Guild, everyone will think we're ripping off Felica Day's show. Which, if you haven't watched online, you must do so. it's fantastic.

Hey, I was on the Smoking Team, too!

Bunny Ninja's!! Haha... I can totally illustrate a mascot with that kind of name. :D

I like the A-team too. It was the first name that popped up in my head as well.

I'm going to follow alr's example and just introduce myself. I'm Asuria, 25 year old from good'ol chaotic Belgium (we still don't have a government after three years of negotiations between parties, just to give you an idea) and in earn my living by making pretty websites. And I think that last thing is probably why I'm a bit chubby. I've always struggled with my weight, but ever since living alone, I've been trying to control it. Having a job where you sit 8 hours a day in front of a computer isn't really helping. I try to eat healthy. I avoid red meat, because it does weird things to my body and I'm a half-time vegetarian. On certain days I don't eat meat especially because of environmental reasons (producing meat is one of the biggest things that polutes the earth at this moment). So... yeah.

I've been doing Pilates on and off and the same with swimming. I love both, but I sometimes have too much going on in my life at once and I get overwhelmed easily. I'm trying to pick up these both sports again to get back into shape. I'm currently weighing somewhere around 66kg (145lbs) and I only am 164cm (5'4"). My ideal weight is 59kg (130lbs) according to a ton of sites, so I still have some weight to lose. I haven't seen that number on my scale for almost eight years now. :P

And uhm... I don't really role play, but I like what alr wrote about elves making things out of all kind of scraps. I'm a big fan of creating things that's why I've been trying to make my own clothes. :D I've already had some experience sewing bags and plushies and other craft projects, but clothing is something rather new to me, but I'm having a lot of fun with it. So I'm a dwarf (short and chubby) with and elven heart.

I guess thats my cue, eh?

*stand up, clear throat*

Hi, I'm Alethea, which isn't my real name but I've been using it online for 13 years now so it might as well might be. I'm 25, 137 lbs as of today (how did busting my butt yesterday make me gain weight? Meh, not worried). I was incredibly inactive most of my life, prefering books to activities that I sucked at and was rather overweight because of this, but I dreamed of being able to do cool things. A few years ago I think my top weight was 175 lbs, no muscle. A while back it occured to me that I only get the one life and wasting it away by wishing for things I didn't even try for was kinda stupid. So now I do cool things, even when I suck at them. :D We only get better by doing. And hey! I'm way better. I'm even bordering on athletic!

Liabilities: I work a desk job for 40 hours a week, and then another desk job for 10 more on top of that to support a mortgage and a partner who is going to university full time. I live with 4 adults, none of which are primal and 2 of which eat HORRIBLY. I am chronically depressive but at my worst I'm still functional. I have a 3 week attention span and have historically fallen apart on the 4th week of challenges, so I'm really going to try to break this pattern. I have a walking cast, but I'm slowly phasing it out so should be off it entirely in another week or so, doctors orders be damned. I unfortunately lose fat with great difficulty, which is the primary goal of this challenge.

Advantages: My cheery go-get-em attitude (my cheerleading ability comes from years of getting my mopey self to put one foot in front of the other), a fairly extensive knowledge of fitness and body-workings, a few years background in yoga, a newfound skill at cooking/scrapeing together my own primal meals at need, and enough spare time in my life to fit my fitness goals around my workload. I gain muscle easily. That said, right now I'm emphasizing flexability and proper alignment, which yoga and pilates are fantastic for, since I can't do much else with the cast and I want to be able to do handstands and stuff in the future. Probably it'll come in handy.

I'm definitely a half-dwarf. : P I have wide hips, wide rib-cage, big wrists... I'm just built solidly (with a small waist, at least, so I can't complain too loudly), which I guess explains the above-average strength thing. I don't WANT to be, but can't argue with genetics. So I'm aiming to be the most graceful, agile damn half-dwarf you've ever seen, dammit.

Big bones are awesome. I love you guys! I have tiny wrists and average to small everything else but disproportionately huge shoulders and calves. We'll win in the finish cause we eats our spinach! I have been doing yoga for about 20 years now so I look forward to reading up on the droods' adventures with lithening!

Fine then, pull my leg........

HI!! I's a Troll and dis be da hammar. Hammar smash tings....uh, no Troll smash tings, hammar watch, yus yus. Oooh buny!! *proceeds to chase a squirrel*

Anywho. My name be whatever you want to call me really, very few people actually use my real name and I'll answer to just about anything. I'm 22 a theatre design/stage management/dance/music student, year four of approximately 2349834832. I'll probably get tenure as a student. As a child I was forcibly active. My father being one of the coaches for the school and all I was pretty much forced into sports. You can be sure I stopped that nonsense as soon as I could. I don't really enjoy most modern day competitive sports, mainly because I'm way to violent for them. Got started dancing a couple of years ago via pure accident while signing up for classes my first semester at BSU, haven't quit yet. Heck even while I was at Basic Training I was dancing, and boy did I receive shit for that.

I have the slight disadvantage to exercise as I have never experienced the endorphine rush that people get, thus unless I enjoy the activity for the activity's sake it's pretty difficult to force myself to do it *coughrunningcough* Uh, I'm just about late for class so I may or may not continue my introduction at a later time.

TTFN Ta Ta For Now!

k, so I guess we're set on the A Team!

How's everyone doing on their goals this week? I'm rocking everything but my A+ goal of 6 hours of yoga a week.. Been managing 30 minutes a day, but should be aiming for 60. Fortunately, just replaced my crappy-ass earphones that always cut out the sound, so I may have more motivation to Go Hard this weekend. I only have to do 3.5 hours in two days to reach my goal!..... eeee.....

No real progress here, except that my back is a little better, my ankle is totally recovered, and my kid is doing a whole lot better, so hopefully I am going to be able to participate a lot more in the next challenge. When does that start??????

I miss you guys.

So glad the kid is doing better. I hope that's a strain off you and her and the family in general. You're a SuperMum to have handled everything you have. Ever thought of wearing a cape?

Yay ankle being better, but missy, if I hear you're doing rolls and associated craziness the next month, I will scold you but good! Let that back heal properly (and "not in pain" doesnt = healed) so this doesn't come back to haunt you.

That said, you will still kick ass : P

I can't be certain, but I guess the next challenge SHOULD start right before xmas. Is that insane? Maybe we should wait until the 27th.
