difficult conversation about needing time for myself with my visitor.

I feel you here.  My teenage cousin was visiting last week, and we had a GREAT TIME, but she ran me ragged. However, she was kinda like a toddler and would take naps in the afternoon, so I got a few hours to breathe everyday, which was nice. (Now I understand why "quiet time" was a thing at my grandmother's house every day when we visited)

This!!!

back to 2-3 keto meals a day. Feel exhausted and cranky ...

  • walked 2.3 km / :)
  • showered / :)
  • PT none / 😫
  • prepped food for 3 days / :)
  • had visitor over / :)
  • hung out with my keto flu /😫
  • only one glass of wine / :)
  • not more than 25 cigarettes ( to be reduced even more during this challenge ) 😫
  • 3 liter hydration / :)

tomorrow I see my visiting friend one last time and I am looking forward to a relaxed weekend. I hate to sound ungrateful for feeling overwhelmed by nice friends but that's just what I feel right now. I guess its a phase.

also I was thinking about my keto break and how it was not worth it. I had 2 nice restaurant meals but I gained like a champion even while eating relatively well and not even having bread. goal for this challenge will be to not fall out of ketosis. that means I can make a  stupid choice for one meal, but not for a whole day. Its just so frustrating to see that I am back at 107kg after all the good work during last challenge.

Good stuff:

clean body and hair

clean apartment

budgeting wisely

cute pup at my side

not too hot

borrowed a great book about tarot cards

new scale with lots of stuff to play around with

see y'all tomorrow with a new scale screenshot! :)

Nothing ungrateful about it, it's just balance. You've had your socialisation, now you have your peace. Both are equally important.

And I hope the keto flu passes quickly!

Right? I walk just to straighten out my hip. And if I swim hard, climbing my massive 2 flights of stairs is cruel punishment in my mind!

Good on you for hanging in there and listening to the legs.

I have lined up a couple of fun side goals like the minimalist game, starting on the 1. In this game I declutter my home from stuff I don't need anymore. On day one its one thing , on day 2 two things and so on until the 31th, where I have to get rid of 31 items. Tell me if you'd like to play with me!

I am not playing along, but I do have my own ongoing (slow) decluttering process going on. I'm always here to support a fellow declutterer. :)

I feel you on the keto flu, it feels similar to what my body throws at me when I cut out sugar. Here's hoping you push through it quickly and regain some energy!

Good luck getting through the keto flu!

I'm not exactly doing the minimalism game, but I'm trying to do a bit of it each weekend. This weekend I put in sort of good effort. I posted two items on a "yard sale" Facebook group to give away for free. I have people who have promised to pick up each of them this week. Threw out another ~5 things.

Debating whether to throw out or donate some other kitchen stuff. I like the idea of donating it, but I'm skeptical about how likely it is someone would want it. Anway, maybe I'll make that a project for next weekend.

just had a talk with my therapist where I complained about being tired and sluggish all the time. She asked a few questions and I suddenly remembered what I DID do these weeks while being chronically ill. I deep cleaned my apartment for the nice flirt-lady, I had a visitor last week, I walked up to 9km a day with the dog.... etc....

I learned that my low energy days are my way to convince me to rest because I just wont do that when Im well. Lately Ive been struggling so much with lying around unable to do sh!t. Maybe if planned rest and fun stuff into my days it wouldn't feel so much like a struggle? Also still a possibility that Im not fully fat adapted yet. Today is day 5 back on keto. as I have learned, you can be weak for up to 2 weeks after changing into keto. I want to learn to cut myself some slack here.

Tuesday:

shower: done

meditation: done

3 keto meals: done

walk: no

PT: no

cello lesson: done

drugs: on plan

declutterered 4 medals from 5 and 10 k I did ...

3l hydration: will reach that goal later this evening

we are waiting for a serious heat wave to start hitting us starting on Thursday. Maybe I have to change my rhythm so I can get stuff done during cooler hours. but also nice to have a bit of real summer here up north ( Im living near Hamburg at the coast )

Also thinking about the pandemic and how the people don't distance anymore and hardly ever wear masks. I ve started not worrying about what others think and do but wearing a mask all the time when I leave the house. Not just in shops like we are supposed to here. That takes away the conflict and fear for me.

glad to come here every night, thanks for your support! ❤️
