raptron Posted September 8, 2020 Author Report Share Posted September 8, 2020 Final Week Wrap-Up GOT ALL THE BOXES CHECKED THIS WEEKEND, AW YES. (Except for the reading day I missed earlier in the week.) Friday, I lifted. Squats were BAD, so I did front squats instead. Bench was GREAT. I did 4 x 8 at 145#. Then to a small backyard bday gathering with spicy margaritas. Saturday, I lifted again and tried squats again. They were much better and I did pyramid triples (255#, 265#, 275#, 265#, 255#). I also did weighted chin-ups for the first time (eked out 3 x 2 x 15#, dropped to #10 for 2 x 3) and some tire flips. It was a fun accessory day. Later on, I got out in the water at the beach with QP. Sunday, I went to a brewery (we were supposed to go to a sunflower field but they closed because it was too popular and they were worried about COVID -- fair!) and then to a firepit cookout in the evening. I rode my bike to the cookout and back (somewhat hilly 5.5 miles each way). My legs did not appreciate it -- one of my tires was a bit low both ways, which didn't help. Monday, I went for a 3 mile jog (just to stretch my legs), then to a nature preservation that is supposed to be haunted. We walked around Salem, stopped by a different beach, and then I had a couple of porch beers. Lift: 4/3 Bike: 1/1 Run carefully: 2/2 Green spaces: 2/1 Get in the water: 2/1 Read 30 minutes: 6/7 days <-- I just started Color of Law about how "de facto segregation" in the US is almost entirely de jure at its roots. My fiction companion book is Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine.
