I also like the look of that workout log and I applaud the use of it :) glad you're looking forward to doing the work! always a good sign.

Challenge progress update:

 

Primary goal: Survive the Flood

The granite counter tops are supposed to arrive and be installed tomorrow. We can put things back into the cabinets this weekend!

 

Also had fun trivia night with the volunteer gang.

 

 Secondary goal: Exercise regularly

Took a few days off lifting, after stretching attempts kept hurting in a bad way in the left hamstring. Did shoulder yoga instead, and have tried (but failed) to get more sleep.

 

Side-quests triggered by regular exercise:

 

1. Get more sleep!

Still failing at this. I really do need to get better at going to bed earlier.

 

2. Drink more water! 

This goal is going very well so far.

Still hurting, but it is getting better. I have plans to attempt lifting again tomorrow. :)

Challenge progress update:

 

Primary goal: Survive the Flood

After the counter tops came the kitchen sink. It has to sit undisturbed for 24 hours before the faucet can be added, and they are supposed to come back and do that today.

 

Secondary goal: Exercise regularly

Lifting did not happen on Sunday. However, today we watch NBA playoff basketball, which means I have planned to sit on a couch in the room where the dumbbells live, for at least the duration of a basketball game. I can watch while lifting next to the couch, so that is what I plan to do. No excuses!

 

I wrote out the workout in the Fitness Logbook yesterday, to prevent that from becoming a barrier today. I also found 

 

Side-quests triggered by regular exercise:

 

1. Get more sleep!

While I have not been going to bed as early as I should, I have been doing it a bit earlier than Far Too Late, which is some progress. Baby steps!

 

2. Drink more water! 

Drinking water was easier before the kitchen was lost. I have found an easy way to get water again, by involving the other sinks in our house, and this goal is coming along nicely. (Yes, you'd think involving the other sinks would be obvious and easy, wouldn't you? Apparently it was not.)

Addendum to the update:

 

I decided to take a few minutes out of the morning to play with Happy Sidekick, who has been keeping me company in my upstairs home office since WFH started. Left hamstring is still not 100%, so workout will need to be adjusted to accommodate this.

 

(The more I post about the workout, the more likely it is I will do it. This will totally work as an accountability strategy.)

That's how I got my workout in over the weekend. It's actually how I'd always lifted before barbells. Good for you!
