Snarkyfishguts Posted March 29, 2023 Author Report Share Posted March 29, 2023 This week, I've ignored the schedule yet again! I played Fitness Boxing for 30 minutes yesterday. Today I got a mammogram, so I took the day off from everything. Dad got two MRI's done yesterday for his upper and lower spine. They're looking to see if there's anything there causing his neuropathy. I dont' even know what to hope for, it all is gonna kinda suck, right? I guess we'll find out! Snarkyfishguts Posted March 30, 2023 Author Report Share Posted March 30, 2023 Dad got his eye pressures checked and they are good so he wont need any more surgeries for his eyeball. The surgery center called me to give me all my instructions, and I told them my information so it looks like I am good to go! this week was the opposite of last week. I didnt sleep, I was too tired to exercise a lot and I didnt eat as well. Hormones were big this week, and I’m tired. Dad got his mri results! We dont understand them at all. He’s gonna write to his doctor for a translation of the results. It says he has some narrowing and that could contribute to some things but is it causing anything? Is it actionable? We’ll see! Snarkyfishguts Posted April 3, 2023 Author Report Share Posted April 3, 2023 The doctor's office called Dad to discuss his MRI results in general, and it looks like his spine may be contributing to his neuropathy but we can't tell that it's the only thing causing it. He was told to keep doing his exercises and eat an anti-inflammatory diet. My brother is keeping his foot as immobile as possible. He's going to see an orthopedic doctor but he's trying to keep everything still so it heals more quickly and smoothly. I went to see Seussical the Musical, and if you've never seen this show, I hope you never have to. It was horrible. I went home to watch the broadway version of it, and even with professionals, it's a horrible musical. It's just chaotic and muddled and the main song they sing sounds almost exactly like the Mento's jingle from the early 90's late 80's. staying steady at 243. I'm content with that. Between doctors, emergencies, and hormones, and BREAD, I'm really thrilled to maintain this week Have a great week! 3 Quote Link to comment
Snarkyfishguts Posted April 4, 2023 Author Report Share Posted April 4, 2023 Migraine day, I took tylenol, drank coffee (gasp!) and sat in a dark room for a while. Now I'm wearing sunglasses and earplugs and it really helps! Because I'm not okay today, Mom is running errands for me, and I want to do something nice for her to express my gratitude. Not only is she helping me out a lot today, she's also going to be doing a lot by driving me to surgery and my follow ups and doing the stuff I normally do next week. She told me to just relax and give myself a break and not feel guilty, and I don't feel ...no.. I feel guilty, but that's a me thing. I DO want her to feel appreciated though, so I'd like to do something nice for her to show gratitude. What is a nice "Thank you for being amazing" gift or service I can do? Hmmmmm... suggestions? I was thinking about her favorite wine and a pair of moisturizing slippers she likes. what do you think? 2 Quote Link to comment

She caught me and told me I've done enough with cleaning and that she would be doing all these things for me no matter what because no one was going to stop her from getting it done. So I'm gonna order it online I have to arrive tomorrow at 7:45AM for surgery. Which means I'll be home in time for lunch. 😂 I anticipate sleeping a lot tomorrow and taking it pretty easy. If you don't hear from me tomorrow, assume it went well.
