We're putting the band back together! 

 

It's been way too long, so @Endor and I are brushing off our running shoes (or just feet as it were) and getting back into our pre-COVID shapes.

 

For me, this means forming proper habits again:

 

  1. Exercise every day. It can be 5 minutes, or an hour, but the goal is to get my heart rate up and move some muscle every single day. I'm tracking this with Habit Hub, and am aiming for 100%.
  2. Run at least twice per week. The weather is warming up and the days are getting longer - it's time to leave the couch. I don't care how far I go, but I just have to get the shorts on and do it.
  3. Shed the kilos. I've been in a...bulking phase....for quite some time now. Time to shift that to a cutting phase. I've already started on the CSIRO diet and it's working. I'm down to 92.8,kg from a starting weight of 96.2kg a few weeks ago. My goal is to break 90kg by the end of this.

 

Bonus goal: Beat @Endor. At anything really - video games, running, being better looking...It's a low bar, but always makes me feel better. ;)

I'm starting at 98.4 so we'll see who drops most...

I've got a week to put on some more weight before taking it off again....new goal is to drink as much water as possible before the pre-challenge weigh-in :D

 

PS: I'm in the rear-view because I'm about to lap you #BowserFTW

Did my pre-challenge activities today:

  • 5 minutes jump rope
  • Dog walk
  • Dropped 0.2kg 😛 so it's now 92.6! Off to a flying start!

Pre-day 2, and going strong:

  • Lost another .2 kg, taking me down to 92.4
  • Did 5 minutes of pushups (wall, counter, floor) and squats. I am SO out of shape!!!!
  • It's raining an windy,  so I don't think I'll be running today...dog will need a walk though so I'll likely get out in it anyways

Did you drop the kids off at the pool or something?

 

I recovered and am down .4 today, so still on track = 92.2  

 

Slow and steady wins the 5 week challenge

Starting Weight: 92.5kg

Weight Loss Required: 2.5kg

Status: On Track

 

Looking to do my first run of the challenge today, and have already hit the kettlebells this morning for some swings

 

It's 35 days until the end of the challenge, I've got a pair of kettlebells, my running gear washed, my meal plan prepped, it's dark and I'm wearing sunglasses.

Weight down to 92.3 this morning, so down .3 from yesterday and .1 overall :)

Went for an extra 4k walk last night as well. Hoping for a run today, but we'll see how the weather goes...guaranteed way to get rain is when I decide to take up running again! Might have to hit up Bunnings for some some cement mix and harden up for this challenge.
