Honestly just camping out here over the weekend to wait on an update about this.

Soooooo.....I wish I could say that our DnD sesh was a success but we had to reschedule last minute. A lot of us where feeling a tad tired and maybe a little overwhelmed from the weeks events...BUT, we rescheduled for the 10th :). I'm looking forward to this because it's been since June since we did our first and only "live" one. HOWEVER...seeing you join in on D_R, Puck, Jarric and Raxie's new thing going on...it's making me want to join as well. I have to admit that I love playing a bard, but I'm really itching for another character role somewhere else. Maybe one that's not so reliant on his mouth of mockery and more on his blade(s). Is that even possible, @DarK_RaideR or is it too full/late to join?

Yep, having your kid’s teacher around puts a crimp in most people’s party plans. I mean, maybe not for you, but most people.

Last night a few of us neighbors grabbed beers and walked our kids to the park and one of my students showed up. I had to act all proper and stuff.

I guess I can see the parents PoV....but you're not a "regular" teacher. You're a cool one ;). And it's hard for me to imagine you acting proper hahaha.

Weekend Update:

We decided NOT to go to Olive Garden, @Terra. We decided to go to BJ's. And I ordered me a 15 oz Ribeye with some white cheddar mashed potatoes and half an avocado. I didn't eat the potatoes. I did snack on the clam chowder soup that came with the meal. And, I also had BJ's yummy AF Hefeweizen. I love that beer. The ribeye was AMAZING and I ate ever last bit of it. After dinner we went to go get Trixie and head home, leaving the boys at my dads for the evening. Talk about feeling old lol.... we were in bed by 9 pm lol. Granted, we stayed up and watched a movie (me barely as I was dozing off a little) and then called it an evening. All in all, it was a great two-days off work and then yesterday was incredibly chill. I worked 3-9:30 and because I have to take all my breaks before I go on lot security, which is 5:30, I took my breaks by 4:45 leaving me actually doing stuff inside for a little of an hour in a half haha. I barely felt like I did anything! It was great :)

We did a little shopping this weekend and I bought some sirloin and some tri-tip to make over the next week or so. Trying to add in more protein, make sure my collagen is up to par, keep adding copious amounts of good fat to my diet and slowly lowering my carb intake. We'll see how this pans out. Also, my workout today was great. Feeling gooooooood. And, my gym no longer makes you set an appt time for the workout, so, I can go in whenever and workout till whenever I'm done. FINALLY!

I hope everyone is having a great day today!

Admittedly I only loosely borrowed their format for inspiration, I'm not in on their adventure specifically. It's a really fun dynamic take on challenge goals though! Obviously I'm just getting my feet under me with this so far but I'm really enjoying considering my goals on a daily basis with regards to how it'll benefit both the future version of myself and the current version of my NF avatar! 😁

No reason you couldn't hop on board doing your own thing too. Who knows what'll happen next challenge too!

It's not up to me to call, it's a group effort. Still, like I just wrote on Rurik's thread, our rate of damage-dealing doesn't seem good enough to kill the beastie in time, especially since Raxie won't be putting a challenge up. We could use all the help we can get, but I'll refer you to our math expert @Jarric who can estimate our average per week damage compared to the monster's hp so it won't be too hard or too easy.

Oh we can definitely fit 1 or 2 more if @Wild Wolf and/or @Rurik HarrgathHarrgathHarrgathHarHarrgHarrgathHarrgathHarrgathHa* want to join. In true D&D style, I have contingencies if it turns out too easy...

Hmmm... I feel that day is coming sooner rather than later. All my kids are night owls... especially Orin...the SIX YEAR OLD. That kid can stay up till 1-2 AM easily. And not only that, he'll sleep till noon the next day. He gets that from Heather, lol.

Hmmmm.... Hmmmmm.... That works for me, honestly! I wouldn't mind joining in, but just using their dynamic as an inspiration sounds great too. What kind of character to make though?? Maybe a spellsword or something of the liking. Maybe a greatsword wielding fighter? Guts would be a HEAVY inspiration there.

HAHAHA! As it should be.

Eating was on point yesterday. The only downside was:

  • I cooked my steak perfectly yesterday. Medium rare with a little more on the rare side. BUT...BUT...when I warmed it up in the microwave, it turned it to well done and THAT's never a good way to eat steak. Ever. So, it's a learning curve and I'm thinking I have two options: 1) flash sear it on both sides and then warm it up later, or 2) Eat it cold... which seems like an OK option. I dunno, we'll see. Any tips??

Other than that, things are great. Edging towards Carnivore has already seen some stubborn belly fat diminish in just a few days which is crazy. It probably helps that I've been going low carb the last few days as well, but I am feeling pretty damn good overall. I'm still not ready to fully commit yet and will continue to do research in order to set myself up for success :)

I'd eat the steak cold man, steak probably shouldn't be microwaved. If you really want something warm you could make a warm sauce and put it on top, but honestly cold steak is good.

Oh yeah! That's the other thing I was thinking of, lol. Thank you sir :). I was thinking about just warming up butter/bacon grease/or beef tallow if and when I get that and using that to "warm" up the steak.

LOL! It's because I have a problem with name changes...and that changing my name can change my outlook and success moving forward. But... as someone who has grown up just a little, I've realized that's not really true at all, lol.

SOooooooooo, I made an executive decision last night on two things:

  1. I got off early last night and Heather wanted me to pick up food for everyone, so, like a good hubby, I did. I went by Sonic. I originally intended on NOT getting anything and just drinking a protein shake when I got home. I decided against that and got myself a double cheeseburger w/ bacon, tater tots and a cherry coke.
  2. Stay up late because the new (and final) Call of Duty season kicked off yesterday and forgo the gym today because my workout partner wasn't gonna be there anyways.

So here are the results:

  1. Eating all that last night wasn't really smart. The tots. The cherry coke. None of that helped me out. I can actually notice the difference when I eat all that compared to me eating pretty damn clean the last 4-5 days. I can feel it in my joints, if that makes sense? Was it all yummy and delicious? Of course it was! But I shouldn't of did all that. With that being said, I'm not bashing myself, just recognizing a mistake and moving forward.
  2. I don't really regret this one. I had fun playing last night, lol. I also have a KB workout planned this afternoon and pretty stoked about it. So, while I forwent the gym. I didn't really forgo the workout ;)

Back to eating limited carbs and lots of meat and no soda or fried food today.

Hahaha! Right?! Nah...I'm done with all that. Let it be known that hence day forth, I will ALWAYS and FOREVER be known as "Wild Wolf" (or Wolfie to those that know me ;) )

Yesterday didn't really go as planned workout wise. In the middle of the day, I started to have some minor back spasms out of nowhere. I haven't dealt with this so randomly in a while so it was off-putting and annoying. With that being said, I did not workout. I did eat really well, though. I cooked up some tri-tip steak last night in copious amounts of bacon grease (plus actually bacon) and that was delish. My only non-carnivore eating was an apple that I shared with Trixie and a couple of these keto chocolate/almond snacks I got from Costco.

In light of all the "bad" news, I've been working on my character for the accountability group. Like I said the other day, he will be inspired by Guts, the Black Swordsman, and wielding a greatsword. His defining features/skills is: Toughness/Resiliency, Strength, and Athletic. Plus, the "cool factor" of wielding a massive sword with ease. I'm still thinking about a name for this character, so, you'll have to bear with me, lol. More to come here as I develop the character ;)

So, I have a name for my new berserker swordsman + a name for his sword: Ravar or Rav for short. Demonbreaker for the name of the sword. As of right now, his backstory is as follows: He is human, but was raised by half-giants that lived in the mountains. (Think Tarzan but with half-giants instead of gorillas.) As he grew up, he was obviously much shorter than his fellow mates, and even as a teenager, he was well over 6 feet. As an adult, he stands about 6'6. The sword he wields is a two-handed greatsword created specifically for him as he was trained in giant weapons from a young age (being that he was surrounded by giants). His greatsword is more common a "normal" sword for a half giant, but, Ravar wields it with speed and power. He has copper colored hair and blue eyes (not original, but easier for me to embody a character that at least sort of looks like me, lol).

Here's a good concept of the what the sword looks like. Also, the armor here is SICK!

Anyways, that's all for today. Happy Friday, errybody! And Happy Weekend! :)

I'd guess it's all just heavily accented. Same way some memes have ERMAHGERD instead of Oh My God, WERFRIE is a similar thing for Wolfie.

Lol, that's a more plausible solution then what I was thinking lol.

My back is feeling a lot better having rested a little and foam rolled a little more frequently. I didn't sleep much this weekend though.... I got a little into playing CoD late at night and stayed up way to late. I recognize I get this way when a new season drops and new guns come out...so, it'll pass. I know the value of sleep and tend to make that a priority this week to catch up.

Carnivore Update:

  • I feel like I'm getting the hang of this. Especially the "cooking" side of things. I made myself a ribeye on Saturday and HOLY crap was it delish. That cut of meat is easily my favorite. I'm also maintaining my weight still which is a good sign I'm getting enough calories and protein while seeing body fat being shed like a winter coat!
  • I bought some Redmond's Real Salt over the weekend because I heard it mentioned in a couple carnivore blogs/vids about how it's a really good version of salt and comes from a dried lake in Utah, which I thought was cool. I also remembered I had 2 un-opened tubs of this electrolyte powder we had when we were ordering Beachbody a while back, so, I have that for the time being to help with any loss of the 'lytes I may have from not eating as many carbs or veggies. The next step is liver. Either in pill from (which I've found on Amazon with over 2k reviews and a 4.8 stars) or real form. I'm already half expecting NOT to like liver, but I just need to find some and cook it. If I don't like it, then at least I have a fall back plan.

Food Log 10/05:

Breakfast- IF (intermittent fasting)

Lunch- 6 pieces of bacon, 4 sausage patties, and 3 eggs (runny) cooked in the sausage grease on a cast iron. I used the sausage patties to lap up any of the spilt egg yolk...YUMMY!

Dinner- *pending* 4 hamburger patties about 1/3 pound each with a slice of colby jack on top. I know I can eat 3 for sure, but I'll just eat the 4th one later on tonight because I have lot security later.

*I want to start logging my food again so I help keep myself accountable because I'm not gonna be tracking macros. For me, it's too tedious and time consuming. If I'm maintaining weight and energy levels then I know I'm getting enough fat and protein to sustain.*

Dang, that's a lot of meat! Interested to see how you feel on the carnivore diet. For liver, I puree it in the food processor , and mix it with hamburger and put it in a spicy stew. That helps with texture and flavor.
