The problem I've been having is it's far too easy to 'generously eyeball' the peanut butter going into my evening protein cookies, and I love love love the flavor, so naturally the cookies need moar, so why not just add all the peanut butter right now? When, in reality, you can barely taste it in them so it's more of a binding agent than anything. One tbsp is tons. I think the new plan is going to serve me well. ...craving protein cookies now! 17 hours ago, miss_marissa said: Thank you sir. May I have another? I have a sweet tooth, I'll admit it's my primary weakness beyond wanting to EAT ALL THE THINGS in general, so harnessing that in a positive way has really been my Master Quest when it comes to nutritional alchemy. Otherwise I drink A LOT of water to keep myself feeling full (especially during my fasting window through the day), so the struggle is just taming the evening when boredom and fatigue erode my nutritional willpower 🤣 so far so good. It also helps having someone in the house who can help curtail the worst of my behavior (no more midnight McDonald's runs for no good reason lol, or eating all of the chocolate chips by hand). I support using Healing Potions as a supplement rather than a meal. Really need to get those whole food meals in if you're someone (like me) who struggles with satiety! 4 Quote [Level ??] Rurik, the Wayfinder Class: Gloomfall Gunslinger (Artificer/Gunslinger) BRUTALITY 11 | FINESSE 10 | VIGOR 11 | INSIGHT 14 | WILL 13 Equipment: The Alchemist greatcoat armor, Longshot adventuring rifle, Slicer & Dicer dual blades, with adventurer's pack containing an alchemist's kit. How do you make them? I suddenly got more experimenting time on my hands. They're about as simple as it gets... 1/4 cup oats 1 tbsp peanut or almond butter 1 scoop protein of your choice (salted caramel or choc peanut butter are my favs) Mix together before slowly adding about 1/8 cup water until mushy but still clings together. Bake about 10 mins at 380F. But I usually double the recipe depending on my remaining macros, and then I'll usually add craisins, dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips to taste. Everything is very approximately due to the different consistency of protein powders - I never would have imagined there would be so much difference in their baking consistency; some take more water than others to reach the same desired texture. Best to keep a watchful eye nearby and check every couple of minutes after the 5:00 mark, from my experience. I've also made them with almond flour (wouldn't recommend, so bloody dry). 3 1 Quote [Level ??] Rurik, the Wayfinder Class: Gloomfall Gunslinger (Artificer/Gunslinger) BRUTALITY 11 | FINESSE 10 | VIGOR 11 | INSIGHT 14 | WILL 13 Equipment: The Alchemist greatcoat armor, Longshot adventuring rifle, Slicer & Dicer dual blades, with adventurer's pack containing an alchemist's kit. That so interesting! CrossFit, powerlifting, and weightlifting (alongside old army mileage) were ruining my knees, and Muay Thai has saved them! I rarely have joint gripes anymore. Love really is the answer to so many aspects of life, but especially fitness activities when it's such an important passion. 21 hours ago, Tanktimus the Encourager said: Has Spezzy told you about the Texas Magic that is Whataburger yet? She has, but honestly burgers are a pretty rare craving. The only reason I reference McD's there is because it's one of the few 24hr stops in my city for unfortunately late night cravings, pretty much the only true food that isn't gas station potato wedges, and their fries are 🔥 9 hours ago, Aθena said: (1) Regardless it's till a delight to have your hair done, I'm taking notes (2) YESSSS, that's definitely a necessity for a hairstyle! Rurik Harrgath
[A Shadow in the Light Quest Log] Challenge Journal: Date of 10.12.2020 Weight: 215.8lbs. I think it's safe to say we're cruising through the week already. Big order of MyProtein arrived yesterday - their BCAAs are a bit meh but so far their Salted Caramel whey is bomb. Really adds a delight to my protein cookies. Yesterday's WOD was my spin on GMB paralettes lvl 1 paired with accessory work. 4rds/6 reps each of Tuck Swing to Plank/KB Bent Press, paralette shoulder stands/hangoard pull-ups, paralette Pike Push-ups/Candlestick rollups, Divebomber push-ups/Ring muscle-up progressions, with a Cash-Out of 4 mins each 30s on/off Bodyweight Squats followed by 4 more mins of 30s on/off Kettlebell swings. And then stretching! Always a good time. The beggies before cookies experiment has been going well. It's only of those switches that just needs a constant reminder in order to be applied. I've started mapping out my daily meals in MFP during the day so I know what I'm looking at all day. Since I enjoy the cooking so much, I can generally figure out what I'll be eating all day from the minute I rise (or rather, when I break my fasting window) to bedtime. So I'll keep working on that slab of protein with a handful of veg to supplement my evening snack cookies. We leave you with just a sample of #ThursdayThorsday!
