Salinger
Hey all 4.30pm. UGH what a crappy day so far. Anxiety about the bike which i know is silly but ive just felt on edge in case i miss delivery again. So ive slept/dozed on and off all day. Waiting for the knock on the door which never came *sigh* i feel groggy as anything, headache, sad, stressed... I know its still relatively 'early' - but because its pitch black out, it feels like ive wasted the full day. and i hate myself for that. (ooops no self hate talk sorry) Anyway. I have so much tidying to do, ive literally done zero of my list. Maybe i could do some cleaning. I dont know how to get out of this funk. SO annoying and frustrating. xx 2 Quote Link to comment
Artemis Prime
Best way I've found to get myself out of that type of funk is to just get up and do something. It's especially hard when you've had a sluggish day and it's dark out, but pick one thing to go do right now. Knowing I've given myself permission to go curl back up on the couch as soon as that thing is done makes it easier for me to get up, but once I'm up and moving I often keep going and get other things done too. And if I don't, at least I got one thing done. It's not a foolproof method, but more often than not it works for me. 1 Quote "For God did not give us a spirit of fear; but a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline". - 2 Timothy 1:7 "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us." -Gandalf Link to comment

Salinger
Hey morning guys. 5.30am here FRIDAY.... still raining away! Slept quite well last night, even after sleeping most of the day I NEED to get things done today - mainly as my friend will come over tmoro and I dont want the flat to be a mess...! - Take medication - Pick up new meds - Shop for milk, cat food, candles, mince pies (!) - Send zine for edits - Tidy flat (make bed, hoover, sort all the clothes everywhere!) - Put laundry on!! - Clean the kitchen (wash dishes, bins out, surfaces) - 2pm meeting with arts consultant about funding - Wait in for bike arriving (hopefully) - Adjust bike to fit me - If bike arrives before dark, then go for short ride - Watch football, relax, read, listen to music. Mainly stuff i had planned yesterday!! With a meeting added in! I may go to the studio...in the evening. If i feel like it. Will just see, most of my plans are decided on what time the stupid bike arrives haha i am hoping so much, that it comes this morning, then i can just get on with things for the rest of the day. Tomorrow, like i mentioned, my friend will arrive. Around 3pm i think, then we have lots of football to watch I am looking forward to chilling out with him, and not doing any work !! xx 3 Quote Link to comment

Salinger
Hey all.... my bike has arrived!! FINALLY. The guy was a scouser, and asked if the car outside my house was mine.... i said yes and he said, ' are you an Everton fan?' ( i have a scarf and a dangly Everton thing from the mirror) I laughed and said yes...he said ' nice one!' so i asked if he was too.... he said, ' Yes, if we are from Liverpool, we are either Everton fans, or knobheads' HAHAHAHAHAH Amazing. I laughed a lot, still chuckling now. Anyway. Its here. Looks like i need some tools though...to sort the seat and handlebars. My friend Ste has some so ill prob go there on Sunday to sort it. Shame cos it would have been nice to go out on it today but need it to be safe. Its lovely guys.... Ignore the boxes behind it, i need to go to the tip, desperately. TODAY. So now this is here, i can actually do some fucking cleaning. Its 12.45pm, I have a meeting at 2pm - i think ill go to the tip first, get these boxes out of the way...then i can hoover and tidy before the meeting. Then do some more cleaning afterwards. I have another last minute meeting at 5.30 about an exhibition planning thing. Might do that at the studio. but will see how much i manage to get done. Also need to go to the shops and eat something aaaaaghhhhh. *Breathe* Ok better go xx 5 Quote Link to comment

18ck
Nice bike. Shiny! You and it will have many adventures together. Thursday sounds pretty grim, so it's good that you got a treat the following day. How did the end of Friday go with the meeting and the eating? I enjoyed reading your description of the delivery. I'm always conscious on here about whether American nerds will understand the British terms (eg the thing about "fags" on Fearless's thread the other day was probably a bit confusing) so I liked that you went full-Anglo there. I wonder what US readers made of all scousers being either Everton fans or knobheads. I bet they don't know that means that all left-handed people are either fans of a certain kind of cheese or they have bad acne. By the way, I second (or third or fourth) the idea that you definitely need to see a GP. I can imagine it's a bit daunting but it's best to go.
