The Jedi Chronicles [Interlude] Rattle the Stars

Happy Sunday and happy zero week everyone!

 

This challenge is only barely themed and it's not even Star Wars (I know, I'm shocked too). It's named from a quote from a book called "Throne of Glass" by Sarah J. Maas.

It really resonates with me because it's such a truth of me. I'm afraid of so many things, so afraid to stand up and be the person I was born to be. But I've slowly started to  grow and make choices that are important to me and who I am. 

 

During this challenge, I'll be doing 

 

This time, I'm going to do the same format as I did for last challenge. A list of "Good Things" that count for a point and a certain amount of points that can be earned. 

 

  • Cooking a Meal - I'm still tired all the time so cooking isn't something I want to do- but it needs doing.
  • Stretching - My back hurts me a lot and also I want to improve my flexibility for dance class. I started getting on this but it's not as good as I'd hope
  • Dance class - I'm going to continue doing this as often as I possibly can!
  • BeatSaber- I absolutely love this game. it's great movement and I need to be ready to beat my friend in January!
  • Eating Mindfully - This one is hard, particularly with all the anxiety. 
  • Drinking Water - ya girl hasn't been drinking enough water. Just drink the water!

Oooooof send help I'm tired.

 

Not a worked out too long tired or a 3 hours of sleep tired. 

 

More like a worn down kind of tired that you get from missing just a little bit of sleep a night without catching up, like the kind of tired that happens when your body is constantly on edge looking for danger when there's none to be found. A slow, wearing kind of tired. 

 

I'm eating okay, though I'm trying to keep an eye on myself. A lot of my appetite problems are gone so I don't need to go crazy. Sleep is fine, I'm just not going to bed early enough because Mr. Right isn't getting home at reasonable times and I want to at least be in his vicinity for a little while before I have to go to bed. I've even been drinking water. Crazy, huh? 

 

And, because I'm slightly dumb, I'm checking with the lady who runs my dance studio to see if she could slide me in tonight 😅 

 

However, ya girl is gonna be going to bed super early tonight because I've gotta get up earlier than normal so I can be ready for a meeting. Ugh. Send help. Even though I've been doing this getting up early thing for a couple of months now, I still haven't gotten beyond almost 3 years of running on my own schedule. 

 

So yeah, that's me this zero week. Send help and possibly another cup of coffee.

The dance class may be  a good thing even if you are tired.

Usually, I would agree with you. However I've made mistakes with long term tired where I almost passed out in class and I don't want to repeat that.

Oh ugh what a rough time it's been since my last update. I did not go to dance class, instead I showered and went to bed basically right after Mr. Right got home with the thought that I'd sleep a bit extra and catch up.

 

Oh how wrong I was.

 

I was tired all day, and binged pretty badly around dinner so my stomach was upset. I woke up a couple hours after going to bed to find myself coughing and couldn't stop... so I ended up hurling at 12:30am. For a good fifteen minutes. Along with more random crap that happened around hurling. 

 

After hurling and being done there, I brushed my teeth, took a tum, and drank some water to try to get the gross taste out of my mouth. And finally went back to sleep.

 

I woke up a ton in the night too. Like.. I'd dream, wake up, roll over, and then go back to sleep. All night, off and on. 

 

Then the dog woke me up an hour or so before my alarm barking. I'm thinking she got herself stuck in a room somewhere - annoying but understandable. No - she just wanted attention. I was NOT HAPPY. But I went back to bed.

 

When I finally got up, the back of my throat still did (and does) burn from  puking last night, I'm still mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted, and I had serious anxiety before the meeting I had today. And after tbh. I don't want to eat right now,  but I probably need to. I'm so tired of not being able to get my health straight....

Yeah, that would be bad. I was thinking of the sort of tired where you just want to hibernate, and not go out, but once you do, you feel better

I miss that kind of tired tbh. I just feel wrecked all the time between allergies and anxiety

This week was.. tricky. I spent half the week exhausted, I couldn't go to my fitness classes because nothing opened up, and I accidentally forgot to cancel the one Friday when we went to hang out with friends. 

 

But yeah, my mental health this week hasn't been ideal. My anxiety has been at a moderate buzz in the back of my mind all week so there was only one day this week where eating wasn't a struggle. This has been super weird for me honestly... Usually one of my bad coping skills for stress and anxiety is binging/overeating. But honestly, I'm struggling to so much as eat 3 small meals. It's even more frustrating because I get moody, cranky, and hangry when I haven't eaten but I just... can't.  It also impacts my work performance, though that's gotten better recently in general.

 

I haven't had a lot of extra energy so I haven't been stretching like I should be either. I'm going to make a goal to get back on that this week. 

 

However, I did give myself an extra exercise point because I was Christmas shopping for like 6 or 7 hours yesterday. I got almost everything I need for gifts, and I'm figuring out what other things I want/need to grab. I'm so excited, I love Christmas :) I love decorating my home and having christmassy candles and finding the perfect gifts for someone.

 

If possible, I'm going to start decorating my house today. If not, then tomorrow.

I definitely feel you on the low energy/mental health front, but keep up the awesome work. Also kudos on 6-7 hours of christmas shopping. I hope marking things off your list has eased some anxiety.

It is what it is. I have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday so I'm really ready for that. Hopefully there will be answers or some form of help for everything. 

 

I love it ^_^ I need to tidy up my front room to be able to get my christmas tree in there so that'll be this evening's task I think.

It's been rough recently.  IDK if it's the weather or the stuff I've got going on at home or what. 

 

It was just a fun time :) I enjoyed marking folks off my list, but I extra enjoyed the Christmas decor everywhere and the fun of picking out gifts that I thought people would like ^_^

Ooooof It's been a rough day and a half. 

 

Lots of drama and stress that kick started my anxiety again, and it made it hard to sleep last night. So I'm running on half dead with the added challenge of a very grey day that adds to lethargy. 

 

Luckily most of my 'todos' are work related and once work is done in.... 2.5 hours I don't have much else to do.  The only things I'm planning to do tonight are get my workout in with the online dance class I have access to for 24 hours, and clean out the upper room in my house where I'm going to put the Christmas tree. Maybe I'll put up my non-tree decorations if I get a burst of energy or excitement from somewhere. 

 

I'm also planning on going to bed somewhat early today. But I've got today, tomorrow, and half of Wednesday and then my doctor's appointment happens! Fingers crossed we can come up with a plan to help both my severe allergies and the anxiety

Okay, it's been a bit. I've gotten some coffee in my system, and I can now process my life. 

 

First off, I threw my back out a little bit yesterday >_> I don't do much moving (though I'm working on that) and I haven't been able to go to a cardio heavy dance fitness class in quite a few weeks (because booked schedules both for me and for the studio). So I did a standard hour long class online, which she does most days and the link lasts 24 hours (so I didn't have to get up to dance at 6am). Then I cleaned up the room in my house where my Christmas Tree will live. It's a bit of a catch all room. Stuff we haven't unpacked in the year or more we've lived here, stuff that needs to go to goodwill, stuff for the attic, my keyboard, a cedar chest, a dresser with two snake terrariums on it.... plus the Christmas stuff that never got put up last year >_> So all that within a couple of hours kinda wrecked me. That wasn't ideal but whatever. I feel better today.

 

Sleeping was much better, though I did wake up exhausted again, as well as feeling gross. I elected to sleep for another hour to try and feel a little bit better. It helped somewhat, though nowhere near as much as I'd hoped. 

 

I'm trying to figure out if the doctor I'm supposed to visit tomorrow is in network. Since I'm not the policy owner (and neither is my husband), I'm reliant on my dad to check all of this. And he only just did so today, which isn't ideal.  We're not 100% sure if the doctor is in network, so my dad and I are going back and forth with trying to 1) figure out the tool and 2) make sure we're finding the right location. It's mild chaos and moderately terrifying. 

 

I can't afford to go to the doc if I'm paying out of pocket but I absolutely have to get to the doctor. My anxiety and allergies mixed together are debilitating at this point. As stupid as that sounds >_> Between being so congested my stomach is upset, not being able to smell or half breathe, coughing and sneezing everywhere, incessant exhaustion, randomly triggered panic attacks of all kinds, severely impaired appetite, and just in general feeling like a guitar string tuned waaaaaaay too high.

 

(update, there was a small error made with the distance from my zip code. crisis averted)

 

I'm extremely ready for this appointment though. I need to do something. This isn't sustainable. I'm barely functional. I think it's only working because it's the holidays and everyone is more chill right now.  I probably won't update tomorrow, if I do it'll be late in the evening with info about my appointment. Otherwise I'll just wait until Thursday.

Yesterday was an interesting day.

 

Work was a bit of a dumpster fire, but I got to leave early. However, the consequence of leaving in the middle of the dumpster fire was HELLA anxiety when I got home from my doctor's appointment and outing. I was stressed a lot about leaving in the middle of a mess thinking I was coming back into a mess. But it doesn't seem to have been too bad so far.  Not sure. I'm tuned really tight still so everything is messing with me. 

 

I am back on my anti-anxiety/depression meds.  Unfortunately it'll take a while for everything to start to build up in my body, so I'm continuing to wing it until that starts to help. And fighting the anxiety trying to tell me that the meds aren't going to help. 

 

So far, today has not been ideal. But hopefully things will get better as the day goes on.

GUYS GUYS GUYS.

 

My body managed to subconsciously throw off a panic attack today???? Like holy cow. I think my meds are finally starting to work.

 

Though I dunno what it says about my serotonin levels that two doses of an SSRI has enough accumulation for it to actually make a difference >_>

 

I don't care though, I feel like a person!! I have motivation!! I want to live my life instead of curl up in a ball!!
