I popped into the Matrix and dialed these in.  Should be working as intended now!    Let me know if I missed anything.

Screenshot below is what I get when I click the Adventurer badge. As you can see, several of the threads do not have the Adventurer tag.  Is this something lingering from when they used to have that tag and it was removed from the thread, maybe?

First of all, thank you for the screenshot!

 

Second of all... let's just pretend that's totally what it was, because it definitely wasn't an Admin error... no, definitely wasn't that... 😅

 

Should be fixed for reals now though.

@Rurik Harrgath, while you're in the Matrix, any chance you can make the formatting toolbar wrap? I lose most of everything when I'm on my phone, which is always.

It actually already wraps - but there are 3 different versions of the formatting toolbar - one for smallest screens, one for medium screens (which is why you see more when you landscape your phone), and large screens.

 

Which ones do you use the most often that you're missing on the smallest? If we just add them all back, they take up a large portion of the screen when they wrap, which is why we removed them for small but kept them on medium. We can add some back, for sure, I just don't want to add ALL of them back because of that

In order:

• Source (already displays, and I use this to code in the formatting when I can't get to the buttons)
• Font
• Alignment
• Color

Least: 

• Smiley (I use the keyboard options or autocorrect)
• Blockquote
• Preview (I have never used this in all the years I have been writing from my phone, which is to say always).
• I rarely use the link button. Maybe twice in 8 years, but I think others probably use it a lot.

Thank you for asking. I know the font menu takes up some significant real estate.

I logged out and cleared the cache from all sites.

We haven't changed any code or permissions around the messages, so I'm not sure where to start to look here

 

Soooo can you let me know a little more about what's going on here? Are you getting an error message? Or is the page not loading at all?

Try now? I'm not sure why it wasn't working - but I just refreshed things on the admin side. 

 

Also, I removed the emoji button, because otherwise adding the new buttons put things on 3 lines. I figure if we're on mobile, we have an emoji keyboard - but let me know if I'm way off there!

I get a notification that say "(person) cannot receive messages" when I tried to ping 18ck, but my message to Tanktimus went through without issue

 

Could this be a discord thing?

@spezzy nothing has changed in my display, and the smiley is still on the toolbar. I logged out, cleared my cache, and logged back in. I don't know what's what, but fwiw I do have the gif button, so it's like that's the only thing that wraps after the spoiler button.

Is it supposed to reduce the text size on the front page and in this specific forum? Screenshot below is from this thread, and someone's challenge thread, side by side. the reason they are side by side to compare is because I noticed how small the front page font was, and thought I had accidentally zoomed out. So I tried to zoom back in and discovered that was not the case, and that's when I set up to take the screenshot.

 

 

My personal opinion is that the smaller font is a negative. I have middle-aged eyes that are tired at the end of the day, small font is not my friend.

Different threads seem to have different size text. The challenge threads (previous and current) seem to have normal size text. A bunch of the other threads have larger text, including some (maybe all, but I didn't check every thread because that's too much work) of the threads in "Rebel Introductions," "Adventure Parties and PVP Challenges," and "Daily Battle Logs and Epic Quests," as well as this thread.

 

I prefer the normal size (smaller) text, but I could get used to the larger text as long as it's consistent across all the threads. Having different size default text in different sections of the forum is annoying.
