I too have notice d my stretchmarks seem different as the bloat/weight goes down. I just thought it was because I could see them past the upper belly 😂

Hehe, understand that. For me seeing them on top of the belly (good bye bloat) I found means even under the belly is working.... After a certain amount of weight (not much ). They tend to get really puple on my skin... Want to stop the yoyo up so they can actualy heal back down to a healthier weight.

Sadly I learned with my skin changing so much from stretch marks that getting a tatoo wouldn't be wise for how much skin moves around... I always wanted one but I don't think I could handle the upkeep.

I have a (phone) interview today.  I decided to put on "going to the office" clothes for it instead of the casual clothes I've been wearing since pretty much last year.  I am pleased to find that at least one pair of my office pants still fit!  A bit snugger than I would like, but they fit!  Super happy about that. :)

Yes! The mega purple was what startled me! Initially I thought one of the beasts had slashed me in my sleep, but on closer inspection I see it is stretch marks. More incentive to keep the weight off by acting in a more sustainable way while losing I guess... slow and steady

I'm having a wobble...

I don't know why, but I have a feeling I won't have lost anything this week. I'm getting a bit stressed about nutrition. I stopped counting calories and now I'm just super nervous I'm going to be eating wrong. Even though I'm eating the same portions as when I was calorie counting. It's hard to consciously lose weight and also keep a healthy mindset about it all and not obsessing about it.

It's okay! I understand about the struggle to not make things more important than they really are.  You know that if you don't lose weight this week, you can adjust your plan/go back to what you were doing last week. It's not a big deal and most of us have wobble weeks.  But when we tell ourselves what success is supposed to look like we panic if we aren't matching that vision. The "pound a week" is just a guideline!

I get this!  When I don't count calories my mind always assumes the worst and I expect I've overeaten even when I may be way under.  It's a trust thing and I haven't learned to trust myself or my body's signals.

Oh man, I just made this protein chia chocolate pudding and it was fabulous. The choc protein powder I  have is sickly sweet so I didn’t add any other sweeteners, and the cocoa powder successfully cut the sweetness of the protein powder. *chef’s kiss*

Going to stick around til 430 and see if any work emails slide into my screen, then close down the email for the weekend, suit up and go roam around in the snow. We got absolutely clobbered with the stuff last night and today, the joys of life on the lake!

I weighed myself early because I was curious and I am down 1.1kg so I will be taking that number and running with it tyvm.

If I lose weight next week I will finally be under 80kg again.

Ahh I'm also looking forward to being under 80kg. That's huge progress!

(Checks calendar) 4 weeks into the challenge seems like it’s about time to get serious.

Fail The Simpsons GIF

This last week I played around with not snacking after dinner — managed it for a day or two, and reduced snacking the other days. I was doing that instead of tracking food, so now I’ll try to stack things and do both. Breakfast is tracked, so that’s a start?

I'm down another 0.5kg! Which is very gratifying after feeling wobbly this week. I've been taking pics every two weeks too and you can deffo see the weight loss. The pics are me in my underwear so I'm not sure the etiquette on posting them lol.

So, just need to keep doing what I'm doing and I'll get there bit by bit :)

Nice work!  Post away if you like.  We usually stick photos in spoilers in cases where they would raise eyebrows if you're reading the thread at work.

Starting weight: 96.9kg

End of W1: 96kg

End of W2: 94.9kg

End of W3: 94.9kg

End of W4: 93.6kg

Good to see that plateau didn't last, neither did some minor slips mess with the downward trend. Now at 66% of the goal, according to spreadsheet algorithm magic, I'm nearing my usual walking weight of 92-93kg and maybe even lower than that.

Waist measurement the same, weight measurement back to the lower weight of 89.3. Seems to be holding somewhat steady, so ready to ‘cut’ a little more. Less bread and butter, more freggies.

I was able to actually get consistent-ish measurements this week (unlike last).  Only down a half-inch on my waist and weight continues to yoyo, but at least I'm trending downward.

Down 0.7 lbs this week. I am both gratified to be losing at all, and frustrated that it is taking so long. There aren't any noticeable body changes with a total of 2.4 lbs lost.

Starting Weight: 265.8

W1: 264.6 (down 1.2)

W2:  264.2 (down 0.4)

W3: 262.6 (down 1.6)

W4: 262.4 (down 0.2)

Down .2 pounds for this weigh in.  It was an up and down week, mostly up, so I'm really quite happy I am down at all.  It was a bit of a rough week.  There were a few slips, a couple deliberate and mindful meals that were on the excessive end.  It is a little discouraging that it takes so few of those choices to go in the opposite direction and so many good decisions have to be made to maintain a loss.  On the other hand, I am able to go out for a burger, or have some pizza (or both) and still lose something.

Down about a half a pound and about a half an inch. Seems like such slow progress. But it is progress. And I'm not starving, and waiting for the day I'm off the diet so I can eat  "normal " again. So, it is working

Way to go. I hear you on this. It's nice to make it sustainable, but it can be frustrating how hard it is

Ugh.  I am up 1.5 lbs compared to last week.  I knew the scale was not going to be my friend today, because I did not do great with tracking (or staying within my calorie limit) last week.  Plus, it's almost shark week, so I was expecting my weight to be up for that reason alone (and I find it hard to believe I ate enough to gain a pound and a half of fat in a week).

However!

My waist measurement is back down to where I was at the start of January.  Not only that, my thighs have lost a bit of fluff, and I've lost an inch off my "low waist" area, which is where most of my extra fat is hanging out.  That seems pretty good.  I'm also down a half pound from where I was at the start of January, so perhaps there's a bit of an actual trend in the right direction with the scale amidst all the noise of bouncing up and down each week?  There's definitely some actual signal in the downward direction in my measurements at the month-long interval level, which is great and what I actually care about.

So, I think perhaps I should keep plugging away with things as they are, and maybe just try to get some more veggies in my diet.  I also think I'm going to start tracking how I'm feeling hunger-wise, and see if there is, in fact, a correlation with the time of the month.  I don't know if that will do anything beyond giving me a reason for why I am so hungry for a week if it is a pattern, but even that will help me feel less crazy and like things are hopeless, so probably worth it.

So glad to see folks continuing to celebrate successes both on and off the scales this week!  Even if you aren't seeing that week-to-week weightloss you signed on for, even shaping a positive spin on your actions or mindset still counts as a victory in my books!  Keep up the great work, everyone!

Myself, I'm down another 1lb this week, so right where I wanted to be.  Feels great too considering how absolutely insane work was last week and the here-and-there stress/overeating meals which popped up as a result.  B)

Down 0.4 lb this week. After logging some low weigh-ins mid last week, I really let my guard down. I made choices to eat less than healthy and outside my IF window. I accept that I made those decisions and that they slowed my progress last week. Turning to this week, going to refocus on the IF window and begin logging food again—that always seems to help.
