starpuck
WHAT DOES STARPUCK LOVE DOING? Getting all the achievements in a game! It's a bit of a curse really, but let's use that to our advantage here! This challenge will be an epic real life achievement hunt. I've even stolen (and tweaked only a little) some of the achievement titles from my favorite RTS game, Northgard! (If anyone loves RTS games, and vikings, let me know! I'd love to get more people to play with.) "THE WISE" :: Complete 5 perfect weeks of devotions. "IN PEAK CONDITION" :: Complete 3 cardio sessions each week, for 5 weeks. "THIS ISN'T EVEN MY FINAL FORM" :: Complete 2 strength sessions each week, for 5 weeks. "CLEVER CREATOR" :: Create art 4x/week for 5 total weeks. "KNOWLEDGE IS A FRUIT" :: Track calories daily for 5 weeks. "EXPANSIONIST" :: Dedicate to at least one focused stretching session per week. "MERCHANT" :: Track all buys in Spending Tracker. Open 2nd savings account {car fund}. Speak with financial advisor on house options. Will track all achievement progress in my BuJo! Gratuitous bujo pic below. Of course. So mostly the same as I've been doing, but I want to tighten up the reins. It looks like an all or nothing goal sheet here, but, the thing is... if I don't make it this time because I miss a few, it just means my achievement bar hasn't fully filled up and I can work on it on the next level! 8 Quote Level 83 ~*~ Ranger Deviant Art Gallery || YouTube Channel Current Challenge "It is difficult. I didn't do anything well at all this week guys. Between the arctic cold, snow every other day, busy work, moody blahs, then shark attack and not feeling great from that, I did the worst thing ever. I self medicated with junk food and candy. For like ... four days straight. Bright side? There's none left? LOL. Tomorrow, planning to really get my act together. Though, with the weather continued as it is, and me having been in this house for 8 days straight with no break, ooof. Hopefully I can make it work. Right now I don't even feel like playing my favorite games even. I just want to do SOMETHING. ANYTHING else. Deep breath. Maybe I'll ... reorganize a closet or something. Yeah. It seemed a nice tidy way to keep track of things! Might get more fancy as I get more motivated. As of right now I am feeling super excited for Day 1. That's true. I just hate that I can pig out, even when it makes me feel awful, and then pig out again. Like seriously... it's like a dog that gets hit with a porcupine four times... why don't I learn? LOL And no, I didn't go dark side. I am starting on Monday proper hah. Day One Eve It was a doozy of a Valentines Day! It started with my beloved boy Varric (my car) telling me his heart had grown too cold for our love. (Battery died.) Always when it's coldest. Getting it jumped and to the Auto Zone took up the morning, but they got me set up with a new battery for the discount price of $240. Yes, that was the cheapest battery I could find for my car. But, I had my bestie guy friend come over to help me with it, then my bro in law came home and helped, so I had two fine fellas help this chica out on a VERY cold Valentines Day. Went to taco place for lunch afterward but got the chicken enchilada lunch special for extra warmth and comfort-food goodness. Finished some chibi art for my ESO guildies (who have then turned all the chibi's into Valentine's cards, lol) and then played some Battlegrounds in ESO and then some Armello and Northgard with my nephew and friends after non-dinner. (Wasn't hungry after enchiladas, so didn't eat until I was hungry at like 8pm) Tomorrow, I work from home but just for the Monday so that sick ( but with two negative covid tests) worker can be in office. Then I go in the rest of the week. Supposed to get another 5-9" of snow tomorrow... sigh. There really is no place left to put most of this snow here now so that's a little challenging lol. Maybe it will miss us? Plan for the work at home day is to be super focused and try to get pre-emptive organized for my return to office on Tuesday. Also to get a strength day in no matter how cold and stupid it seems. Do some art! I am pretty sure I have nothing sketched so it will be a fresh sketch day. Then maybe some ESO in the evening, or maybe, finally, taking a peek at Moss on the VR. Here's the chibi I did today, my friend's Sweetroll Loving Bosmer. And then the Valentines card they made out of it. 5 Quote Level 83 ~*~ Ranger Deviant Art Gallery || YouTube Channel Current Challenge "It is difficult. All things worth keeping are." starpuck
Day 1 in the books. I managed pretty well and am working *very* hard to not be pre-emptively stressed going in to work tomorrow... My desk is apparently buried. Ugh. Just like the entire metropolitan area ... in snow! I will share some fun pics for funsies. Tracked my food today. Had two pieces of fruit, go me! Got a 45 minute dance workout in at lunch, then an hour of shoveling after work was over. Did my devotion this morning, which I really liked. I may try this more often, but probably not tomorrow. (Snow clearing + sketchy drive + big pile of mess at work.) Didn't feel the art muse, so skipped it. Otherwise, all's good here! Our deck, with very little room left to push the snow. Me resting against my car with the wind and frosty snows all over. Not all houses look like that here... I am unsure the history on that one, but it's an older home in our area. Most of the rest were 1950s ranches with basements. Then in the 90s/2000s people started doing their big rebuilds in the area, so it's all spatterings of different looking houses. Which is actually something some places experience very little of. I should take a video walk one of these days to showcase it. 20 hours ago, Elastigirl said: So much snow! Do you worry about your deck collapsing? We shoveled our deck. They said that the snow might turn to sleet , to freezing rain, and we were worried that it would collapse under the weight. Our snow can be heavy as it isn't super cold, so it can be a wet snow. Our deck is very old and really needs to just go. It's never collapsed before, but this winter is going to really kill some of those areas that were sketchy in the fall. The trouble is, there's no place to shovel it TO. Trying to shovel lift all those piles over a three foot railing would be brutal deadly work lol. When things start thawing, we typically throw some of the piles more into the yard to keep the brunt of melt away from the house because ... lol, 70 year old house means too much wet and we get seepage in the basement. Fun times! We get wet or dry snow. 10 of those inches are dry snows that fell when our temps were between 5-20 degrees. The first batch was falling at 32 and basically like shoveling snow cones and slushies. LOL 20 hours ago, Wild Wolf said: I really enjoyed that too! We should definitely get that going again! Psalm 139 is such a powerful piece of scripture...man. I have verse 23/24 highlighted in red on my bible app for severe importance lol. "Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me and lead me in the way everlasting!" Looks like EG already has this going! Woot woot! Wolf Yeah she was super on the ball with it! I love that about her! Yeah Psalm 139 in its entirety kind of feels like a love song from God to us. Like, when you think about people you consider your bestest bestest friends... and scale how much you think about them, with how much God thinks about us in that scripture, it's like ... whoa. WHOA. You are CRAZY about us God!!! I didn't update yesterday and I should have, so super quick here. Food tracked. Devotion done. That was it. I NAILED the whole getting caught up at work, but my boss boss was in yesterday (only 3rd time I've seen him in a year) and its HIS office I threw all my lifting stuff into, so I had to skip on the workout at lunch. I helped my sis with dinner afterward, and then had games night soooo, rest day. Also didn't get any art in, so now I need to be focused. 4 Quote Level 83 ~*~ Ranger Deviant Art Gallery || YouTube Channel Current Challenge "It is difficult. All things worth keeping are." starpuck
I am bad at this updating thing. Also bad at getting to bed on time. Last night, my 4Stack decided to push our limits and try veteran Dragonstar Arena. This is an arena event with 9 rounds and a final boss. Each of the 9 rounds, has 4 mini waves and a boss wave. On veteran, mechanics and damage output are very technical and challenging to survive. We spent 3.5 hours getting to the final boss, wiping a few times on most bosses, and learning how the event runs. By that time we didn't want to throw the towel in on all that work without downing the boss. StupidPuck stayed up to 12:37am trying to beat that a-hole before finally letting responsibility win out and calling it a night sans win. O M G I did track my food and eats lots of colorful fruits and veggies. I did do a little chibi sketch rough draft to get the next project started. I got my strength session in. I did my devotion. I think I am nursing an irritated groin muscle / thingy. It's in such a hard to describe spot. Like ... in the nooks and crannies of 'the privates', the connection point between private area and thigh, but like inside and deep? Is that groin? I really think its part of a more outstanding iliopsoas muscle trigger I've been dealing with for over a year. (Started in the hip, then went to hip flexor, then deeper.) Might need my chiro to chime in on this, but I am a little shy about my beloved male chiro checking out THAT spot? >.> Going to have to look into some gentle stretches and fixes. Might be time for an epsom salt soak, oh yes. Next post will be a virtual vacation share for @Mr_Willes! 4 1 Quote Level 83 ~*~ Ranger Deviant Art Gallery || YouTube Channel Current Challenge "It is difficult. All things worth keeping are." starpuck
Updating the day of the day. How novel. I did not track food today. Dead tired from staying up too late. Plus too many coffee calories. Plus household had Popeye's chicken for dinner. Eh, whateve. I took a rest day. Total exhaustion plus doms was a recipe for rest and/or disaster. I opted for just rest. I did do another chibi sketch so I have two to throw into my art program tomorrow. Devotion is happening now and then lights out. I had a sad day today. No doubt because of poor sleeps and bad food choices. I know sleep will help so it's zonk time. 5 Quote Level 83 ~*~ Ranger Deviant Art Gallery || YouTube Channel Current Challenge "It is difficult. Red1263
You did all that hiking and adventuring and you think you had a sad day afterwards? I think you mean you were recovering from all that awesomeness! Also it took everything in me to not giggle at your "going deeper" statement. 1 Quote Level 25 Final Fantasy Rebel My Epic Quest | My Journey | Currently on the Trial of Orthos Str: 60 | Dex: 23 | Sta: 66 | Con: 28 | Wis: 55 | Cha: 14 Goals for 2021: Spoiler Build my brother a Destiny 2 Lamp Learn how to do a Handstand Play 1 song on the acoustic guitar Clean up the Christmas Decorations and finish setting up my apartment (hang things up, plus some other few things that need to be organized) Re-introduce Pull-ups into my routine Build a shelving unit next to my Desk "No matter what, if you can hold your head up high, you've done the right thing." I would not be sad at that if that was what I did today. I am not currently on that vacation. I am sharing old pics! And yes. 100% of the fit minded males I have asked about that particular issue have all suggested 'manual massage' and ended it with this look. 1 5 Quote Level 83 ~*~ Ranger Deviant Art Gallery || YouTube Channel Current Challenge "It is difficult.
