Strengthen the Body

I was supposed to lift the dumbbells yesterday but I forgot. I lifted them today though.

Sharpen the Mind

Read more in two of the books for my challenges. Nothing completed yet.

Meditated.

Feed the Soul

Walked in the rain with Husband and Happy Sidekick.

Completed 90% of the character sheet for the PbP @iatetheyeti generously offered to run for some of us. Remianing 10% are the boring equipment fields. Also the backstory field. Ahem.

Found a way to connect the PS4 Pro to the 4K gaming monitor Husband gave me for my birthday in a way that allows me to connect it to the good THX speakers, so I can play the PS4 games in 4K without losing sound quality. Bonus: Playing is making cracks in the character background writer's block.

Equipment could be fun. How about a packet of crisps that protect against morale failure but penalise dexterity and regenerate once a day in your backpack, but only if they aren't being observed?

Brilliant. As soon as I'm leveled up enough to earn magical items I shall petition the GM for one of these.

Preemptive updates:

Strengthen the Body

Today is lifting day, and I have become good at forgetting about that. So I'm posting it here because that has worked well for accountability in the past.

Sharpen the Mind

Forgot to meditate yesterday, but did meditate this morning.

Finished one of my challenge books last night. Started on a new one.

Feed the Soul

Planning lunchbreak walk as per usual.

Also one more thing that falls under both Strengthen the Body and Feed the Soul: I have an appointment for the first of two COVID vaccine shots this afternoon. :)

No, because the weights are downstairs and I am upstairs at work. Give it another 4-5 hours and then ask me again. ;)

I have sort of lifted. While in the middle of making dinner, I lost all semblance of energy. I could barely managed to be civil to Husband, and eating the food didn't seem to help. I did the Lazy Bear workout, since it is better than doing nothing. My arm is also a bit tender, so I'm going to write this off as vaccine reaction and go try and sleep.

Although my arm seems to have become a lot more tender overnight, the rest of me feels a lot better. And yes, I will happily suffer some temporary comfort in exchange for being protected against COVID. That's absolutely a worthwhile tradeoff. :)

Will there be pets? Non-commercial libraries don't really feel complete without either a dog sleeping somewhere, or a cat wandering around acting like it owns the place.

This was briefly tempting for me... then I realized that the dog's name inevitably would be shortened for easy pronunciation, which would lead to most of the men in my life making really bad jokes about my big furry Dick, and the temptation immediately went away. :D

YES another nerd is on the path to vaccinated!! Glad you were able to get that scheduled, and that your side effects still feel like a good tradeoff as you go through them.

About 24 hours after I had the shot I started having slight chills and a bit of a headache, but still absolutely nothing compared to not being vaccinated.

Also, when I whined about not feeling well after the vaccination, Husband immediately started to try and take care of me by pampering and spoiling me, so now I think it's quite likely I'll have some kind of reaction to shot number two as well. ;)
