I think i am going to go with 2 loadouts, one if this was a character in a usual campaign. One for overcoming enemies in the one-shot dungeoncrawls. Cause facing dracoliches with druidcraft prepared takes too much of my imagination...

The campaign buildout seems like a lot of work for something that may never see any action

Yesterday I actually made it out to the park for a workout.  Only having worked out a few times in the last month was really showing, and everything was difficult.  I really need to get this tattoo finished so I can work out more regularly.

After the park I came home and had a nap.  Naps are great.  After the nap I had to run around and get a bunch of stuff ready so we can install the charger for our new car.  Documents were signed and couriers were summoned and for the most part it all went very smoothly.

Once Ghostess got home I helped he make some tick-tocks.  She has grand plans to turn Wraith into a social media influencer :D

Deal! I don't do desserts, you can take this whole section. You gotta make a character though, and then fight me at the end of each episode.

I think this character could end up in someone's campaign. Just like Night Dancer popped up in a one-shot run by @Jarric. From what i heard, the curious-kitty-cat was appreciated.

Nice!  I have made Urp & Urps cannon in one my games as well.  The players don't like the guy who hired them (He was a boss from a previous adventure who bested them and made them work for him instead) and as he finished giving them their current quest he followed up with "and please don't double cross me, I really don't want to have to engage the services of Urp & Urp" :D

Yesterday was when I would normally had my Weekday D&D game but I had to reschedule that because I needed to go to the hospital.  A person from church needed emergency surgery and is not in a position to afford it, so I went with them on behalf of the church leadership to cover whatever they couldn't.

After I got back spent some time playing Valhalla and finished up my alliance with East Anglia.

Later in the afternoon I decided to make some more snacks, this time was something called Samoa Cookie Bars, which are apparently named after and supposed to taste like the girl scout cookie of said name.

O9U4Stt.jpg

I have never had Samoa Cookies so I don't know how they compare to the original but they were decadently fantastic.  Ghostess came home just as I was cutting them up and commented that I can either keep making these desserts or get washboard abs but trying both was a fools errand.  I don't think she is wrong.

For dinner I made tacos, which is always the right choice.

Just as a side note, Ghostess has officially started her side hustle and took out a lease on a location for her salon/spa.  As part of the application for her business license she included an application for food services and if that gets accepted she can start selling my desserts to her spa customers.  So maybe I will have a side hustle coming up too.

Well, it was directed at me after all and who are we kidding :D

-----------------------------

Yesterday was D&D day for me.

In the morning I started out with my weekday D&D group that got postponed from the day before.  They spent most of the session on the room that I thought would upset some of the players because it cancelled out most of the magic items they just got.  It was a zero friction hallway with pits at either end full of razor sharp spikes and encompassed within a no magic zone.  The players came up with a brilliant plan of dragging up the bodies of the ghouls they killed at the end of last session and using them to like the pit traps so that they could safely crawl through, using ropes for guidance.    After they found a couple of room that both looked unpleasant and spent the rest of the session trying to decide which one they wanted to enter less.

Once that was over I got a new story arc going for my PbP homebrew campaign that I designed specifically around the backstory of one of the characters.  I am looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

In the afternoon I played a bunch of Valhalla until Ghostlet got home from school and then made some yakiniku again for dinner.    The evening was mostly sent eagerly waiting for another D&D session, this time with the Urp & Urp adventurers guild.

The session yesterday was myself with my Half-Orc Mystic (Murp), @starsapart with her gnome artificer (Breena), and @DarK_RaideR with his Gith Sorcerer (Ja'adoc).  We were also joined by our Half-Orc Cleric (Derp) who was run by our wonderful DM @jonfirestar

Spoiler

This session we were sent into some ruins looking for some missing people.  We got into the first room which was filled with goblins, hobgoblins and a few ogres.  We decided to start off with the peaceful approach, telling them that we were there looking for some missing people.  The hobgoblin in charge of the room told us there were no missing people there and asked us to leave.  Instead of complying, my Mystic decided to proselyte them about the virtues of personal, individual growth.  They did not know how to respond to door to door evangelists and and instead of forcing us out, the hobgoblin actually escalated the request up the line and was told to just shut the doors in our face, which he did.  While this was going on, we did manage to insult an ogre to the point that it fled the room in tears :D

The sorcerer had had enough of this nonsense at this point and just opened the door and dropped a fireball in the room.  Seeing how it was game on already, the artificer also dropped a fireball in the room which pretty much cleaned the place out.  We proceeded to go through the doors from which the higher up was giving instruction wherein we found another room with goblins, hobgoblins, bugbears, ogres and all of the missing people we were looking for.  I tried to escort one of them out of the dungeon but when we got to the front door she wouldn't leave and tried to bite me, so I just left her there and returned to try and collect some more.  The hobgoblin boss was not having any of that, so I proceeded to further evangelize him on the merits of self growth until he relented and allowed me to approach him.  Once I got there, I literally demonstrated what individual personal growth really meant by growing my size to Huge and hitting him with a stick, which missed :D He was suitably unimpressed and we were into initiative.

I was quickly surrounded and ended up in melee with pretty much every single creature in the room.  I think I lost more than 75HP in that first round alone :D   Luckily the sorcerer cast a rift in reality on us all and the attackers fled away from me in confusion.  It didn't take long to mop up all of the goblinoids (except the chieftain) but the "villagers" were much harder to take down.  It turned out that the so called villagers had been eaten by demons who were walking around wearing their skins.  Once we had them all cleared out, the cheiftain ran away into another room but was followed by our sorcerer who dropped another fireball into the room and finished off every single creature in there.  After a short rest we headed down the hall through some doors into an empty room and then through another room with a fear spell or something on it that gave us all a feeling of doom (in hindsight we probably should paid attention to that feeling).  Another couple sets of doors later we managed to release another couple of demons who may have been trapped inside there.  Combat ensued and both myself and the cleric got dropped to 0HP and had to resort to our half-orc trait to stay on our feet.  Somehow we actually managed to finish both of those guys off without anyone dying, but by this time we had expended pretty much all of our spell slots and other resources so we decided not to spend any more time in that dungeon.

Once again a wonderful time was had by all :)

Yesterday morning as Ghostlet and I were walking to school, a lady in front of us was carrying a bunch of cardboard tubes and dropped one right as she was trying to pass through a gate.  I stopped and picked it up putting it back in her hand so she didn't have to put it all down to get that last one.  As I did so, I somehow managed to strain my neck in a very painful way.  By the time I got home, it was still very painful so instead of going to workout, I just went back to bed to try and sleep it off.  It didn't help so I had a very sore neck all day (it is better this morning)

In the afternoon it was gaming time with Deffy and we booted up Outriders and managed to finish up the main quest by early evening.  Not wanting to have to go find a new game, we decided to go back and finish up all the side quests we had missed on the first playthrough.  The game is really buggy, though, and it was really hard to try and figure out where we needed to go for many of them.  On top of that we both kept getting booted off the game which was annoying.  Overall it was a fun time, though, and I look forward to our next session.  At some point we are going to have to pick a new game, though, because there are only so many side quests left.

Not really. Got a shot at the emergency services and ten minutes later I was moving freely again. Recovery was only a couple of weeks where I had to avoid lifting (which wasn't easy with a then-newborn baby) and where only a distinct few movements were slightly painful. Could've been a LOT worse.

That's nothing compared to a 6-month+ recovery...
