In the end we were following this one pathway that turned out to be a dead end that led to a golf course and someones backyard. I was definitely tired by then but I was also good to keep going and I was able to keep a steady pace no matter what we were doing. I have good strong legs. Where as my sister who is more in shape then me started high energy, then went low energy then as we were heading back to the car she perked up and was back to high energy lol. She said she had fun which is great. My week 0 all in all was decent. Mainly the idea of dressing up in medieval-esque clothing and beating people with swords or shooting arrows at them sounds appealing. I am not sure how I feel about the roleplaying part of it which is the main part Basically I am sure I would be turrible at it but I think it could still be fun. I might try to put together some outfits for fun that I can wear to our renn faire when it opens up. Oh and I forgot to add! Our horses were let out into the 40ac field Saturday so my barn visits will include a 15 min walk to get my horse lol. Its always fun to see the pictures and videos. One day I will get there in person to see it ❤️ Nothing more beautiful then watching the herd run. I couldn't find anything on the one near my area. I should check facebook. There will be people who are hardcore, and those not AS hard core. It's best if you can manage to find\get to know some of the players outside of LARP before you "go in". I'm saying that because the level of drama can be E-P-I-C. I have friends who are LARPers, I used to, but I personally couldn't deal with the drama that inevitably would occur - so while I enjoy the dressing up bit, I stick with tabletop (not that I've had much time for THAT either). All in all it went good all things considered. It was definitely hard to get her to focus and she was more on edge but I think we ended on a good note. I started it feeling exhausted at the beginning of the ride. But 100% sure why. Rookie Posted May 11, 2021 Author Report Share Posted May 11, 2021 This weeks painting challenge is Still life with something metallic and something glass. I am pretty sure I want to paint a mason jar and maybe fill it a bit with beans or something. I am not sure about what I want to add that is metallic yet. I just know I want it to be super shiny. Tonight I am having a virtual board game night with my friend. She asked to do it sometime this week then proceeded to say she was basically busy every day so we are doing it 5-7pm probably haha. RIP dinner time lol. But it will be fun to do a little hang out. Re: Bachelorette... It was looking a little shakey for awhile lol. The MOH (maid of honour) wanted to do Friday - Sunday but we were having trouble finding a place within budget and no one was responding in the group chat. So the girl said we can just do 1 night instead of 2. We found a place and booked it. And it sounds like we are just going to play games all night and drink alcohol. Which should be interesting since I rarely drink. But it sounds like it will be a good time. And I finally have a wine I actually don't mind so I will probably just bring a bottle of that and sip at it all night. Re: Work... I finally pushed that release we have been working on for actual months. Thats exciting. I am not sure what we will work on next but I figure these next few days will just be a "wait and see if anything breaks in the real world". My boss also wanted us to "noodle" on something for our other system that we have 0 access to and its a vague ass idea which he already proved could work. So not sure why we must noodle on it. Re: Hike... I had planned to go to a conversation park for my next one and right now I need to reserve my spot for the hike but Mr.R is talking about wanting to go trout fishing. And he was kind of acting a bit butthurt I went with my sister for the hike instead of him because he wants to get out of the house too. But he doesn't want to come if my sister goes because he doesn't want to "slow us down". I honestly would rather go and scout it out the first time because he gets shin splits really easily and if we walk too long his lower back starts to hurt and there's usually not really anywhere you can sit and rest on a hike. I know he used to love hiking as a teen but if its going to make him a cripple then it isn't really worth it. So now I am like 😕 and of course my sister is asking if we are going hiking again and to let her know. I might swap my hikes around and do one that has a river in it so he can try fishing with his brother and I can go hiking with my sister. Or just go fishing with him on the Saturday and go on a hike with my sister on the Sunday. Who knows. (He currently doesn't have a working car) Talked with Mr.R to ask if his wrist needs more time to heal and he said probably but says he thinks it is only 2 of the exercises that might bother it so we can try and see after work. If we don't do the full workout I might try to do some dancing later today if I feel like it. It will be a bit of a shuffle tonight since I wasn't expecting to play board games tonight and its at the most random time but it is what it is. Finally getting our "winter" release out (that I technically originally had nothing to do with that took 3 months to get out yet have done the most work in organizing and getting it released!?!)... only to be asked when the new app will be released (the thing I was working on 3 months ago). Fack off. So now I am looking at the app stuff which of course is new technology that I have now not touched for 3 months and very different from how our main web app is build. Which probably means things are out of date with it and its not building anymore. I am just feeling....total bleh. I honestly have 0 want to do this workout or board game night and I just want to curl up in a blanket and watch my ghost k-drama with my Frenchie. I have noticed for the past few months (maybe longer?) that I am not super stable as a human being person. On top of normal pandemic life blues... I find I am becoming very self-aware of traits I do not like in myself and being frustrated that I can't seem to change. I didn't think it would be this hard lol I almost wish I could go to the thrift store. I'm sure they'd have some good things.
