The Chronicles of a Warrior Monk

In my quest to "civilize my mind, but make savage my body" I've decided on a path:

 

1) learn and practice some sort of meditative martial arts (Tai Chi, Qigong)

2) weight training (twice weekly)

3) dialing in nutrition to focus on whole foods (try for 80% clean)

Some of this is pretty new, and some is stuff I've done, but not with conviction, so this will be an interesting journey.

Weight training this morning (GZCLP A1), plus walk with weighted vest 2 miles, 30 lb). Feeling pretty great!

Tomorrow planning on trying Qigong.

Bodyweight workout today, along with daily walk.

Qigong in the evening.

Diet is looking pretty good. Family is ordering pizza today, but I opted for a sub. Not better, just...different. Rest of day was beautiful, nutrition-wise.

Finally broke through my motivation slump!

 

Weight training (25 minutes)

Cardio rowing session (20 minutes)

Daily walk (2 miles, 30 lb. vest)

 

Feeling pretty great! Hope to keep that motivation going.

Qigong and daily walk. Did some scooter riding so at least I was somewhat active. Tomorrow, gym time! Going to try to establish a daily gym habit during the week.

Motorcycle permit obtained!

Tuesday

Gym time (weight training)

Daily walk

Lunchtime scootering!

Wednesday

Tai Chi session 

Daily walk
