It’s Just Logical - Jedi Studies Under Eraserhead

So here we have my almost late hyper logical challenge. This challenge is going to be themed after my very favorite pro in MHA, Eraserhead. I love him for many reasons, including the fact that he had to work super hard to become a hero. He didn’t just have it easy like many other heroes with combat ready quirks. 

 

Eraserhead (aka Shouta Aizawa) has a super awesome quirk that basically allows him to render other quirk’s useless temporarily as long as they’re not mutation based. But it’s not a combat quirk, so he fights almost exclusively quirkless. 

 

His primary weapon is his capture scarf, which is woven with carbon fiber and metal alloys so he can use it for basically everything. He uses it to swing around like spider man, to wrap up villains, and to hide in because i n t r o v e r t. 

 

Since climbing is my favorite exercise, I’m going to work on some similar types of strength building to what would be necessary for a capture scarf (and maybe look into taking aerial silks lessons).

For the most part, my diet has gotten better (except the past few days or so, I’ve been struggling recently and eating very little and mostly crap food) so the food stuff will just be a continued log/tracking. 

 

So without further ado, here are my goals for this challenge

 

1-2 Yoga Videos per week

Yoga is a great way to build bodyweight strength and flexibility, which is something I need for climbing. And it’s good for preventing injury, which is a serious problem for me.

1 Climb Per Week

I LOVE climbing and I can finally make that work. My ankle is finally behaving again and I'm so excited to go climb again.

1 Beatsaber session per week

Cardio for my poor lungs is absolutely necessary. Plus, this game is so much fun and it helps work my ankle without murdering it.

Pushups/Situps 5-7x/week

My pushups and situps have been doing a LOT of good, so I want to keep doing those. I can almost do a full pushup from the floor! I’ve never been able to do that before and I’m so excited. I haven’t been keeping up for the past few days so I need to get back into the habit.

Daily Stretching

Back to stretching! A yoga counts as stretching as well, but I want to get a decent stretching routine in on the daily. I’m not very flexible but I’m trying to work on that.

I’ve found out that if I skip my ankle exercises too many days in a row, my ankle panics and misbehaves. So I need to do that on the daily as well.

Lol that was dinner... my stomach wasn't having breakfast. Mr. Right and I celebrated by going to a sushi/ramen restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried! That was my first time trying chicken katsu and oh my word. So good

Hey look, a challenge update!

 

I haven't worked out yet, but I've done my other stuff basically every day. I'm definitely getting there slowly but this week has been a bit of a hot mess. So I'm not mad. And I'll get plenty of workouts in when I get to my friend's house: I'm going to get certified to belay at her climbing gym and FINALLY go climb again!! :D

Yesterday was long and I did very little >_> I got like 3.5 hours of sleep and also got on a plane to visit my friend so I didn't have time to do any of my exercises or anything.

AHHHHH GUYS I WENT CLIMBING YESTERDAY AND SENT A WALL.

 

It was a small wall, but I'd never sent a wall before and I'm h y p e

 

My toes kinda hurt because the shoes I rented were very new, but I worked my ass off climbing yesterday.  I'm very proud. And super hype because I was able to use my right foot/leg/ankle without any problems! I forgot to do my ankle stretches yesterday but I made up for it by doing them  early this morning.

Not a bad set up given the travel and drama from this first week. I didn't have access to a scale so I have no idea what I'm working with weight wise but I'll see. I've been eating fairly well so that will do me well. I've been moving quite a bit, the only thing I didn't get to was yoga.  But there's always this week! I anticipate this week being pretty solid actually.

Yesterday I went climbing AGAIN. It was awesome. I actually am a little bit sore today so I pushed a bit harder than I did the other day (shoes that didn't hurt my toes helped) and worked on my form quite a bit. 

 

Today is going to be an active rest day - so I'll do my pushups and stuf but no full on workout I don't think. Maybe I'll do yoga if I'm feeling it later on. Maybe.

Freaking S O R E from climbing still. I think today will be a yoga video day. maybe beatsaber but that's really arm heavy and my arms and shoulders are what hurts right now.  So it's probably going to be a day for that. 

 

Yesterday's food wasn't ideal but honestly it was a treat for me because I can't eat at this glorious fast food place when I'm at home.

Wow it's been an... interesting couple of days.  I forgot to do my stretching and such yesterday too. But today I already got my ankle stretching in, and I'm about to take a quick break to do my full body stretching. And maybe my pushups/planks. 

 

Tonight I think I'll suggest beatsaber. It sounds fun.

Yeah my best friend made them ^_^ They were AMAZING.
