Weight Loss PVP: 10 or 12 lbs in 10 or 12 Weeks! [Jan 2 - Mar 19]

 Down another pound over the last two weeks.. Lots of stress last week so I didn't even bother with the scale.  This week I'm in my new acting manager job and I think that it is helping because I am so busy that lunch if often a protien shake between meetings.  I am not always getting my apple or clementine that I have on hand to go with the shake. 

 

New routines need to be established with he new work scope, but I am so busy that there isn't time for snacking.  I just need to eat enough that I can go to classes after work and not pass out. 😛

 

@Mistr tracking is hard and I often find it counterproductive too.  If I am so focused on every last little thing that goes into my mouth it takes my energy away from other more important things.  Simplifying choices, no second helpings and trying to do 5 minutes of exercise rather than stress eating are my tricks that help!

Hey all! I was away for a bit but still trying to stay on the path.

 

After plateauing for a few weeks, I am down two pounds this week, so I am down four pounds since the beginning of the challenge. Not sure if I am going to lose eight more by next week to hit my challenge goal of 12 pounds lost, but hey, progress is progress, even if it is slow.

Great Week!  Sometimes it just works.  I didn't do much different except just stick to the goals as much as I could.  I think this week's loss was mostly due to the week before being such a sh*tshow.   I'm right back on track for 6 pounds in 6 weeks with a little extra room to breathe.

Those weeks are rough.  It's still effort invested.  but sometimes the returns are paid on an unusual schedule.

Woops, I thought in one of my posts the challenge ended tomorrow but I still have until March 19! Someday, I will pay attention when I read. 

 

Went up a pound this week. Not great, but considering how poorly I ate, I will take it. I had a good day yesterday and hope to have a good day today and a solid weekend.

My scale says I'm 2.8 lbs down this week and overall...not sure if it's lying to me but I'll take it right now. I did do very well this week.

This is great! That is a lot of loss. The scale isn't lying, it's just reflecting a good week for you. I hope you can maintain the momentum! Do you feel like you're in a groove right now?

I am not really doing anything differently other than just sticking to the goals better.  There have been fewer reasons in the past two week to go out to eat or do something special for food.  Also magic; sometimes it just works and sometimes it doesn't.

Thank you!! I do feel like that, I'm making sure to stay under my calorie goal and doing my workouts...as much as I hate tracking food it's paying off

Not a great week for me.  It felt like a decent week but I was doing my weekly summary on my challenge and realized my average calories were over target for the week because we ordered Domino's mid week.  I'm not concerned though.  I didn't go up at all and overall that pizza is negligible as my calories still average below target over the whole challenge to date, the whole year so far for that matter.   The scale was all over the place too so I'm confident it will land lower after a bit more consistency.  Plus I'm still on target for a pound a week.   Just a couple of weeks left!  Who's ready for the home stretch?

My weight is down a little from last week, but still up from the start of the challenge. :( 

 

At least that shows that not tracking food was not a total disaster. It feels like I can make choices on the moment and not feel guilt about them.

 

That said, I was just about ready to abandon this challenge. Work has been crazy again and I cope by eating comfort food. We usually do batch cooking of healthy protein, but that didn't happen this weekend. The ready-to-go food in my fridge right now is lasagna and enchiladas. I am going to buy a big package of chicken breasts, but those won't get cooked until tomorrow. Maybe I'll have a green smoothie for quick veggies and variety.

 

I will be getting a lot of exercise this week. If I can avoid eating junk, I should be on the right track. Next week I can work in the office several days, which helps me get more steps and makes me plan food ahead of time.

Hey down 0.2 is still something! And 8.8 total is pretty damn good. Keep at it and good things will happen. Nice work!

Sorry about work being crazy. I certainly have been there, and I often will retreat into comfort foods as well. I still don't have a great strategy for dealing with that tendency, but the important thing is to get back on track as soon as you can. Good that you're exercising though! Keep that going!

I used Sunday's weigh in since we celebrated a birthday last night with Pizza Hut and chocolate cake.  This morning's weigh in is not indicative of where I'm at.  But it'll show up next week if I don't stay in line.  I've technically met my 10 pound goal but I need to have a good week this week stave off the celebration bloat and to prepare for vacation next week.  I'm hoping to come back from my week long roadtrip and still be close to 10 pounds down from my starting weight.  The fight is not over.

This is true. I am trying to keep in mind that at least I haven't gained, and my fitness is improving. Just gotta keep making changes and try to stay positive.
