Quadriheal [DoubleTrouble]

Recommended Posts

My quads are still sore on one leg, and it feels like impending tendinitis (if I don't have it already). I quit all my flipping and trampoline classes, so I can have time to heal.

Main quests

1. Get the quads pain free.

2. Get the quads to a level where I can start trampolining fully again. Currently I think I can still trampoline if I limit it to back/stomach tricks.

3. Get the quads to a level where trampolining doesn't cause soreness?

Side quests

??? (not sure if I'll have any)

Quads are definitely on the mend. Been avoiding jumping as much as possible, and doing strength training at a level that my quads can handle with plenty of rest in between sessions.

I don't have a video this week but here's a video that someone else made that shows what happened in parts of the movement world last week. Spoilered because it has some fails:

Yup! I find that my updates are weekly these days. Thanks for checking!

This week I went for a run, the next day I did some clean and jerks (without actually knowing what I was doing), then two days of mostly rest.

I also did this dance follow along thing which was pretty fun.

Oh that looks fun! Simple to follow along but still quite the energy expender. How are the quads feeling after the run?

They were fine, I mostly feel my calves after a run

Did some flips in the snow last week. Quads were sore the next day, but the good kind of soreness that goes away in a day or two, which it did.

You'll never believe what I did last week. More snow flips. Shocking, I know. I do slanted front flips apparently.

I also went to the trampoline park for the first time in a while, and was glad to see that my skills were still there. Left quad was slightly sore afterwards which tells me I need to keep resting and strengthening for now.

Challenge recap: Quads (left vastus medialis) is not fully free of soreness. There has been improvement over the course of the challenge, so I probably just need more time.
