Weight Loss PVP: 10 or 12 lbs in 10 or 12 Weeks! [March 27-June 11]

I'm up .2 lbs from last week...did go a little off when I was out of town this weekend but I was still hopeful!

Though how the week is going now.... coming week isn't gonna be so stellar... Weekend in a hotel, with fellow travel-guides. Bad weather, not much left but drinking awful amounts of beer.

 

Also not really a chance to go running...

I had covid last week and while amongst it I fluctuated a fair bit, not sure where my weight actually is since it is bouncing all over the place, but adding back in some freggies and water after a week of tolerating only pizza and frozen Coke

 Ah 0.2 could just be water weight as well, so have hope for next week!

Hey it happens! It's not always a linear downward trend, you'll get back on track.

Sorry to hear that? Are you in the UK? I understand COVID is surging there now so here in the US we are probably 3 weeks or so away from it. I am hearing more and more people getting it again. Good luck with your recovery!

Australia, it’s pretty high case numbers here at the moment and going into autumn so mixing with the other lurgies floating around.

Ah that makes sense. I know the UK was seeing a huge spike in cases. Usually they are 2-3 weeks ahead of where I am in the US so I expect we will be having high case numbers in my part of the country soon unfortunately! I hope you don't have anything lingering and that you are feeling better!

Starting weight 242.0 

Week 1: 240.4 (down 1.6)

Week 2: 241.2 (up 0.8)

 

I'm up a little for the week.  At the same time it makes sense but is disappointing.  Overall the week before was quite bad and I've struggled to get back on track.  I do feel back on track over the weekend so I'm disappointed to not see that reflected on the scale.  But I just need to keep it up and stay on track and it'll get there.

Scale went down a little over a pound this week. Also, in looking at my past numbers, the measurement around my belly is the same as when I was about 4 pounds lighter, so at least some of the weight I put on was muscle!

Weighed my Friday weigh in a day early, and got excites and put it in the chart forgetting I put in Sunday

 

Started (March 284

Week 1(March 28): 288

Week 2 (April 4): 284

Week 3(April 11): 284

Today 279

 

This is my first time getting to the 270s without calorie counting and having a meal plan. Trying to tweak the I'm dying and tastes good with a special diet. 

Easter will be challenging as I am going to make a lot of food, and my must want to try food (korean corn dogs) are selling. Weigh in usually Sunday morning and will stay positive after a mindful Easter. 

 

Anyone else celebrating a holiday I give you luck!

My plan for Easter is to just eat and enjoy. Hopefully, I will also get a walk in.

Congrats.    If you got to the 270's once, you'll do it again regardless of how Easter goes.  So enjoy Easter.    Korean Corn dogs are certainly intriguing.   

 

I have plans as well.  I'm baking 2 kinds of bread and an upside down Peach cake plus there will be whatever everyone else brings.  I usually weigh in on Monday's.  Maybe I'll use Sunday this week.

Up .6 ounces booo. I having been battling hormonal eating this week so I am trying to reign it in before Monday ahhhh.

Hey all! I am down 1.8 lbs but truthfully it's because I was dealing with a really bad flare up of IBS. One of the worst I've had in years and could barely eat (or function) some days. I don't recommend this as a weight loss method. I also lost a close relative (he had been battling melanoma for years) so it was a difficult week. Please make sure you are vigilant about taking care of your skin! It was heartbreaking to lose him but I take solace in the fact he is no longer suffering.

 

I hope everyone had a good week. Happy Easter/Passover if you celebrate!

 Thank you! It was not a great week but I know people have worse. And thanks for your condolences. He was a great man (gave one of his kidneys to a sick relative, took in his niece for years when she had no place to go) and we will all miss him.

That is a rough way to lose the pounds.   I hope you are feeling better.  Also very sorry to hear about your loss.

Starting weight 242.0 

Week 1: 240.4 (down 1.6)

Week 2: 241.2 (up 0.8)

Week 3: 239.6 (down 1.6)

 

I didn't even need to count my pre-Easter weigh in.  I manage to stay the same.   I was pretty diligent with my goals all week leading up to Easter and I was able to recover what I gained the week before and another 0.8 putting me close to target.  There was a lot of food on Easter but I fasted until late morning and only had a banana, then pretty much just ate at Easter diner (lunch).  Other than a little bit of snacking and some wine while we were hanging with family I didn't eat the rest of the day.   Time to move forward.  I'd really like to see the lower 230's soon.  I've been stuck around 240 since February.

Spiced sausage, usually cheese and a panko exterior. (The ones I bought were basic ones over all the kinds they have above).

I had a sweet coated that was like a fried donut on cheese. Along with crunchy and fried cheese.

I found a fb page of a local business try to get off the ground, so threw some money at them 

Sadly my whole body went hell no after eating 2.  So I won't be returning to this business, but will try others again. 

My family didn't have the same reaction, so I know it's a food sensitivity.

I ended up finding out if there's little candy. I enjoy making eating more than eating it up. (I asked for a new hand mixer over treats). Though if I work on making better biscuits that may change. 

 

Found out I'm the only one that likes radishes. While my mom and boyfriend literally fought over my pavlova and custard dessert... where I just had a serving (first time I have ever seen this).

Now to keep on trucking down inthe 270s! 

My coach challenges me to take longer time between eating 4-6 hours. Just the 4 hours can be hard sometimes, so hoping to find better balanced meals to make it easier to eat fewer times a day.

My weight is up about half a pound. Not much, that's just sort of noise.  The measurement around the narrow part o of my waist is down a bit. My jeans are fitting looser. Tried on some khaki pants I haven't worn in a couple of months and they are no longer tight. 

 

One weird mental thing; I'm actually at about the same measurements for my waist as when I was about 5 pounds lighter. Which is great news, right?! It means I'm gaining muscle. But, I'm not feeling good about it.  I'm trying to tell the logical part of my brain that it's a good thing, but my emotions are telling me I weigh too much. I'm struggling a bit with that. I'm happy I can do 3 chin ups though! I guess it's just a normal feeling. We tend to think more weight is bad, without taking into consideration the muscle.

Brain weasels.  Would it help to take a break from weighing and just do measurements weekly?
