I think that is a very good idea, today I am back down another half kilo lol!

Time to get my ass back in gear though.  Weighed in today at an embarrassing 238.2lbs which puts me back up there around my NF starting zone weight but with a significant amount of muscle (and knowledge) retained I am confident that number can be convinced to evaporate!  I also did my first dumbbell workout in months today, did a couple of weak run intervals with the dog during our morning walk, and am somewhat more or less on track to meet my tracking calories today.

 

I am encouraged by this shaky start 😆

Gained weight again. I'm definitely in a mid-life period of malaise/doldrums. I've been dealing with injuries so I can't work out and eating really poorly. Also thinking about some bigger life changes that I may need to make that won't be easy. I need to get back to at least eating better though. I've been definitely overindulging and it makes me feel like garbage mentally and physically. Fingers crossed I can get back on the path this week. I hope nobody else is in the doldrums!

We've started to replace our neighborhood walks with a 5k at the lake.  We did three last week.  I'm feeling a bit beat up between that, yard work and moving my son back from college.  But we've got 3 planned again for this week plus another day of yardwork.  Outdoor fitness is so much more fun than workouts in the basement.

First off, nice work with the loss in week 7! Secondly, great work with the 5K. Outdoor fitness is much better than just being in the basement. During the pandemic when I was working at home, I used to bring my kettlebell outside and just do the same routine but in the fresh air and it was really nice. I did embarrass myself on one super hot and humid day. I was broiling so I decided to take my shirt off (which I never do), but right at that moment my landlord's wife came outside.  I don't think anyone wants to see my overweight, middle aged body but I guess that was her unlucky day!

Not a great week but I'm glad I lost something.  I managed 2 5k walks at the lake; one was cancelled for a migraine.  I did get a really short neighborhood walk in later in the week and some yard work.  But I went over my calorie budget almost every during the week, a couple times by a small margin but mostly by large margins.  I expect this week to be better.  3 walks at the lake, yard work, and a healthy menu plan.  There is a Burger Battle we are attending Saturday but that's the only food related event all week.

I used to really struggle on weekends too.   It's hard being so close to the kitchen ALL DAY!

Another solid week.  I felt off at the beginning of the week from too much overeating over Memorial weekend so it was fairly easy to stay on track this week.  One week left.

I don't get to work from home much but I love when I do get the opportunity to because (among many reasons) I am close to the kitchen and can cook something hot for lunch that doesn't require being heated in a microwave or stored in tupperware.  There are some healthy choices that just aren't really options to take to work everyday, or at least not worth the effort.  But I can see there are also plenty of unhealthy choices too.  At least when I am at work I can basically only eat what I packed, unless I grab food out.
