Depending on the nature of the issue, an anti-chafing cream, antiperspirant, or (strangely) hand sanitizer gel can help. They all solve slightly different rash/ski  irritation problems.

Do you just put it on at the beginning of the day then you are good to go the rest  of the time? I might try the hand sanitizer.

My friend offered to go for a walk after dinner so I said yes! It was nice to just go around and see the different peoples landscaping. I’m not sure how long we were out for but it was enough to get me all sweaty 😬 it was a good walk though. 
 

We got roti for dinner so I’m not really sure how many calories are in it. It’s a giant wrap pocket thing filled with potato, goat and pumpkin with gravy.  Nom. Food was not perfect tonight. I would of been okay getting a small instead of a large roti and I ate too many cookies my friend made. Aside from that I did well today. I still need to work on my self control.

That's pretty individual, but probably unlikely. Especially with hand sanitizer, which is the least targeted remedy.

 

The hand sanitizer won't keep you dry, so if the dampness of the cloth is the primary issue, not so useful. But it will keep the area clean and kill bacteria, which can help a lot if it's something in your sweat irritating the skin, and can reduce the problem if it's something like chafing plus sweat irritation. (There's loads of weird salts deposited on the skin by sweat, and the normal bacterial activity doesn't help. There's even some fungal action in sweat zones in summer that can cause rashes.) The aloe variety can be a little soothing on top of that. I'd just slap it on liberally a few times a day, including after your walk. It's basically trying to remove all the stuff that could cause irritation a few times a day, and do a few sanitising passes on all the weird shit. You'll still sweat, but hopefully without the irritation.

That sounds like a wise adjustment. A major cause of overeating is undereating 🤷‍♀️

We haven’t fully decided on a name yet. We are thinking Winifred and “Winnie” for short. Because our Wesley is named after Wesley Wyndam-Pryce from the shows Buffy/Angel and Fred (Winifred) is in Angel. So we thought that was cute. I’m also considering Fanny or Stevie. She comes home Sept 18 or 19

 

 

 

Oh my goddess she is perfection! My own beautiful perfect puppy was called Vinnie (after Vincent Valentin, a game character). But my husband, who is German, always pronounced it "Winnie" because sometimes Germans swap Ws with Vs when speaking English.

Haha a girl can hope I saw some aloe hand sanitizer at the store after I read your message so I bought it. I will probably just try it out when I am in a damp sports bra because that seems to be when I get the issue.

It makes sense to me and I figure at this point I really am not in a rush....as much as I would love quick results.... I would love even more sustainable results. I never really felt like I was under eating... I was eating 1800-1950 in the past but it is a bigger deficit so perhaps my body disagreed.

Aww ❤️ Sweet Vinnie. I am very excited for my little Winnie. 

 

That is interesting! My family is Swiss and my Grandpa spoke Swiss-German and whenever you would ask him how he was he would always answer "Wonderful!" but it would sound like "Vonderful!" I had always assumed it was his accent, but now I wonder if he was just being silly 😆

It was busy and productive. I was doing a bit of cleaning in the kitchen and decided to use up my 2 giant zucchinis before they went bad. So I made 2 zucchini bread loaves and a zucchini breakfast casserole. The zucchini bread turned out really nice and the casserole has really good flavour but it turned out soggy. It's kind of like a frittata and fritter love child lol. I also decided to make ribs last night so I could try my ribs without them being too salty. They turned out good but took too long and we ended up ordering harveys because we had been talking about it for awhile. I exchanged my propane tank... I cleaned out a food storage container I was using for Daisy before and put Winnies food in it, made a hoof cream for Daisy, replanted 2 strawberry babies, watered the strawberry babies, had some hammock time and doggo play time / snuggle time.

Overall I did very good this week! Yesterday's impromptu Harvey's splurge for dinner put me over and if I knew that was the plan ahead of time I could of prepared better so I wouldn't have been over. I will admit that I didn't have great willpower and just ordered what I wanted (milkshake, onion rings, burger). I am counting the days prior to this as a success even though I was over 3 of those days because overall I was still within the deficit I wanted since my deficit days were a lot lower than I was aiming for. 

 

I completed the mini walking challenge this week! It was a struggle the last 2 days because as we all know by now I do not like going out of my way to be active...especially back to back. But I got it done  It really enforced that I don't need to make it a big thing. I can just add a few extra steps here or there. I don't need to commit a big chunk of time or make a huge plan if I don't want to. I can just grab my shoes and do a once around the block and that's great.

This week is proving to be a bit chaotic in nature

 

I have a bunch of bugs I need to fix at work and I feel I need to finish them if I want Friday and Monday off. My friend and I have a hotel getaway mini vacation planned Friday - Sunday where we will watch Monster Rancher, play board games, eat 'continental ' breakfasts (they are full breakfasts lol), enjoy the ice bucket (my favourite)  and swim. I am pretty excited. If I get Monday off then we will be picking up Winnie after I get home

 

Today I need to leave work early to drop Daisy's pee off at the vet. Thursday I think I need to drive Mr.R to the train station. I am hoping I get Friday off so I can see Daisy 3 times this week. I have only been able to go 2 days a week for the past little while. 

 

I think I will struggle with good eating decisions while away with my friend but for starters I did not buy snacks this time... but I still have a grocery store trip until then. So future Rookie might not be able to help herself. I might try planning some "approved" snacks that I can buy ahead of time if I want.

Do you like berries, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and other vegetables or fruits as snacks? In my experience is it easier to eat healthy snacks than to eat no snacks, and many fruits and vegetables are tasty enough that I do choose them over immature cheese and such.

Finished all my bugs plus some!  It is hard to wait until Sunday but at least I have my friend hang out to take my mind off it.

I do like those and its easy to snack on if its there. Last time we did a weekend getaway we ordered in our dinners and I think our lunch. But this time there's 2 lunches and 2 dinners! I might pack stuff to make lunches or something. That I did not think about haha.

Daisys urine sample came back normal. The vet said its less concentrated than normal but that might just mean shes well hydrated  In the summer Daisy drinks A LOT of water soooo thats normal for her. 

 

I didn't end up riding yesterday because I trimmed her back feet and I am not fast enough yet to do 2 feet AND ride. One day lol

Last night Winnie did awesome in her crate. She had a few whines when I first put her in but I made it so she could see me and I played played soft music. Apparently she’s used to waking up at 5am because she was full of energy and ready to go lol she was a bit upset she had to go back in the crate but calmed down with some soft music.  
 

Today Winnie had her first day at the barn ❤️ I didn’t get a picture of her with Daisy 🙈 she was so good today! We did our first solo car ride, she met grandma and my sister, met Daisy, hung out quietly with grandma while I did stuff with Daisy. She’s now napping in her daytime crate😚 I’m very proud of her. She’s much more outgoing today.  Oh and I had some snuggle time with Rook while Winnie naps

Oh man I remember the first night we created our pup when we brought him home and he cried most of the night. Will keep the soft music in mind for future dogs lol.

Our dog trainer said her best friend has 5 large dogs. From being pups she has played the Guardians of the Galaxy theme tune to them and they all run to their crate and sleep

That was Rook lol. Screamed most of the night... then after that was fine. Poncho was a bit upset and whined but Mr.R just laid outside his crate and he was fine. I don't remember how Wesley was. She was probably the easiest pup so far to crate train. She has 2 crates, her "daytime" crate which is in the living room and her sleeping crate which is beside the bed. Daytime crate I put her in if she starts sleeping on the floor during the day but she hasn't gone in to nap on her own yet. Bed time crate she happily walked in last night then didn't want to leave at all to go potty until 5:15am lol. I had a feeling the music would help because she seemed to calm down when Mr.R and I were talking before bed. I think it's because at Mr.Rs parents the puppies were in the TV room which is beside the kitchen so they were used to hearing people talking or the TV going while they slept.

She slept through the whole night yesterday... I got up at 3am to take her out and she's like "nah" she poked her little nose out of the crate but wouldn't come out. I woke up again at 4:15am to let her out and same thing. So I tried grabbing her and she slunk to the back of her crate until I sat on the bed then popped her little nose out again. I tried again around 5:15 and she still didn't want to come out. I grabbed her and got her out of the crate and we went outside and she finally pooped lol Then we did a little bed play/snuggle session and she eventually went back to sleep so I put her back in the crate. She woke me up again around 7:15am and did another pee and 3 poos (she did 1 yesterday so I was getting a bit worried haha).  

 

Today is my first day away from her I am working in the basement. Tomorrow I won't see her for most of the day because I have to go into the office, then I am going to the barn after
