People! It's Sunday afternoon and I AM STILL NUMBER 1 IN DUOLINGO, leading by 7k XP, I might actually get it this week for real!! Which would be awesome since my commute starting tomorrow will be a mere 2 mins by train and 10 mins walk, so not my usual "let's do 2x30 mins of Duolingo while sitting in trams/metros a day" anymore. xD (By that I mean: I won't have as much time for it the next few weeks as I had the past few weeks). 

Exciting!!  

 

So, about the last few days:

Friday was my last day of the last internship, it went well, they were really nice, we exchanged some sweets and tea (first time I got something in return, felt really nice ). After that I went to the post office to send my documents for this internship to school (going there and back would take me a good 1,5-2 hours, ain't nobody got time for that. xD), so that is done as well.  Still have to hand in my reports but that we can do online. 

Worked my remaining hours of the week after that and spent the evening just chilling in Guildwars. It was actually really awesome, first I met up with a Dutch buddy there (who is actually a friend of one of my guildies, but we've been talking a lot and I guess are friends now too^^) to do some fractals, which was a lot of fun. After fractals we stayed in discord to chat while he waited for some friends to come online to play something else and I did WvW reset. I planned to jump over to the WvW discord once he left, but ... one of his other friends came on (I haven't met before), a really talkative guy, and we ended up just talking on discord for three hours one Dutch-buddy left. xD I had these things happen at parties, but not yet online. Was great though. I love meeting new people and getting to know the story of their life and this one was a very interesting one. I was a bit weird to follow a commander in WvW without hearing them, but it went well enough, we didn't have that difficult fights, so it was fine just following their movement as I saw it. xD

 

Saturday: 

Slept in, chilled a bit, then I got up to do some school stuff (wrote a few internship reports, almost done with those). In the afternoon I met up with a pole friend at the pole studio and we trained for a bit. I had a blast there, it was so much fun. I was super hyped before because I haven't done any pole all week, and usually then I have too high expectations and get really down while doing anything because things don't work like in my imagination. But yesterday it went really well. Practiced a few things I currently like, tried a few things from insta that always look more easy than they are - and figured them out. Danced a few freestyles...   I'm sore and happy now. xD 

After that I had a friend over for a few hours.*

In the evening I again ended up hanging out with Dutch-buddy and another friend of his after doing fractals (and while being in WvW). Somehow all three of us like languages and we got to talk about them and one thing led to another, they made me read Dutch tongue twisters. xD It was awful. But a ton of fun. xD Dutch-buddy tried his hand at German ones and his friend (who is Belgian) told us a few French ones and it was great.  

 

Sunday: 

Chilled again a bit, then got up to do ALL THE THINGS. I started around 10, am now 80% done (currently taking a break) and did all kinds of things for school. Especially preparing for tomorrow's new internship. I'm really excited about this one.  And for once not super anxious about a new internship starting because I already had one at that particular hospital and know where I have to go to tomorrow and what will happen and that the food tastes good. xD xD

Plan for the rest of the day is: Finish that stuff (I guess it will take me about 2 more hours, I can do that), while keeping an eye on Duolingo just in case, eat some delicious food and then... either Guildwars or spending some more time with the husband, maybe even going to the gym together... He's been there  a lot lately because he wants to get fit again (he's been replaying God of War, so Kratos is who he aspires to be ), and I haven't been there in a loooong time. I'm a bit sore from pole though, so we will see. 

 

Next week will be really busy, got DnD on Tuesday and Online Lectures in the evening on Wednesday and Thursday, that is all interfering with my work times... 

And Monday... I'm looking forward to the new internship and all, but I'm dreading tomorrow evening. One of our kitties wasn't doing so well the past months (she got a very fast growing form of cancer) and tomorrow will be the day we are going to have to send her over the rainbow bridge and I hate that this happens. It's always the best, cutest, most kind ones that have to go first and way too soon (she's 12). 💔 At the same time it really needs to be done, poor kitty is suffering, it's the best for all of us. And we will both be there to hold her paws while she gets to fall asleep. ❤️ 

*said friend is the former owner of my cats, she came to say goodbye...

Monday. Is looking a bit gloomy.

My new internship is amazing so far, I'm really excited about this one.  Even though they gave me a bit of homework. xD I'll count that as schoolstuff.

Also managed to squeeze in some work.

I haven't done any Duolingo yet, but I will do at least 1 lesson since it's day 100 today, yaay.

No guildwars either. Would have had dance practice with my buddies, but I already told them on Saturday that I'll probably not join tonight. 

We had to accompany broken kitty on her last journey, it was hard. We will spend the evening now cuddled up on the couch with remaining kitty, some Indian food and Netflix. 💔 Other than this, Monday was a pretty decent Monday though.

Today was better.

Internship was a lot of fun, got some work in afterwards, then I went off to DnD which was a blast like always. I thought about skipping today because I play a Tabaxi and didn't want to be a cat all evening, but in the end it was fine and I'm glad I went. We didn't play too long, so I got home in time to join WvW for a bit. Overall a good day. Miss the kitty, but that will pass one day. Other kitty seems to be fine all alone, so that is good. 

 

Tomorrow is raid evening, I'm soooo looking forward to that. Like always. xD This will be the last Wednesday I get to join for the remainder of the year, so gotta make it count. xD

Wednesday!

Same procedure as every day... Internship, work, guildwars. xD All very normal. Wednesday is raid night and it's my last Wednesday raid this year (I got a 4 week pole class starting next week and then it's Christmas break and I won't be here probably). All of my friends came to raid and I had such a blast, loved it. We did Wings 1,2,3,4. New record, so far we always only managed to do three, now it was four and easily as well. Super nice. xD We did have help from a few longer raiding friends that are usually not in that group though. But still.

Thursday!

Usually I have dance class on Thursdays. Yesterday I didn't go, it was so cold and dark and raining and I was really tired from the week (plus working late because I was a bit longer than usual at the internship), leaving my blankie was just too much. xD I played instead and it was nice. A bit of WvW, a bit of raids... It was really good.  

 

Now of course today was sunny and nice and warm... I wish that class was today, now I'd love to go. xD 

Ah well. 

Friday!! First week of the internship is done, I still love it. ❤️ Love the hospital, the people there, the patients... Working with new mothers (not only, but it's a big part) is waaaay less depressing and more fun than working with sick children or at the ICU or people who have been neurology patients all (or half) of their lives... My last new mother of the day was super nice and super happy and so in love with her newborn, that it really warmed my heart and sent me into the weekend with a really nice feeling.  

I could see myself doing this long term (and I didn't think that about the last few internships at all. xD).

Plan for the evening now is: chill, raid a little (raids are really just an excuse to sit in discord with nice people xD) and then over the weekend I'll revisit all I learned about children because I got a pediatrics exam next Tuesday... (and it doesn't hurt for this internship as well, sure, I'm there for the mothers, but they also often have questions about the babies).

Oh and Duolingo, haven't done any yet today. I've been really slacking this week, only doing the bare minimum. Longer internship times and less commute...

I spent the Saturday doing stuff for school (finishing my reports for the last internship and studying for my exam next week) and ended up raiding in the evening. First time I cleared ALL SEVEN wings in one week. It was fun. First time Wing 5 ever. xD

I really love these raiding people. All of my favorite guildies from the WvW guild are in there and a few more people and everyone is great. It's a bit of a smaller community which is nice given that the WvW guild is growing every day (which is also nice, but for chill evenings in discord smaller groups are more fun. Though running around with 50 people of one guild is also fun  ). 

 

Today will be more studying, maybe a bit of cleaning in between and then WvW in the evening to end the weekend on a high note after all the studying. In the next few weeks I won't have much opportunity to raid, which is sad... So it's nice that this week was such a good one in that regard.

Actually did it last week!  And while I didn't always do 15 mins in the morning and 15 mins in the afternoon, I easily average 30 mins a day and that's all I wanted.

Not quite. Especially last week was without dance. The other weeks were fine though. Next few weeks will be a bit more dance heavy again, so it's ok.

Lol... I think I did something for the actual thesis about twice? But I did plenty of other school things... It's a real mystery to me how they expect us to finish the most of the thesis before Christmas with all the other school stuff that's going on... Ok my actual deadline is the 4th of January (so yay got all Christmas break to work on this. QQ), but still... Yeah maybe I could make this more of a focus instead of playing stupid games and having fun, but let's be real, after a 10-11 hour day I want to play, not work even more. xD Rest is important too!

 

Anyway, overall I'm quite happy with my goals, it was a fun challenge.  Thanks for reading. ❤️
