I kind of want to do the same thing now, to account for spontaneous travel, illness, etc that throws everything off balance. #priorities It's so hilariously ridiculous that it took me this long! Because I know, and I've known for years that having things planned out in advance is how I operate best, and that planning ahead for any negative eventualities is one of my strong suits. But not once in a decade of trying to improve my health did it occur to me that planning for negative eventualities would improve my success rate. 4 Quote Do the thing Link to comment

Doesn't mean they were obvious beforehand. 3 Quote Challenge archive Link to comment
TheGreyJedi-Ranger
This... makes so much sense and I really need to learn to adjust for this myself. Pherales
So, nine days huh. And in those nine days nothing has gone great. At all. Someone reversed into my car, punched a hole in my rear bumper with their towbar. I've been to the ed twice for various pain issues. I've got another docs appointment on Monday with yet another different doctor to try and get things moving. Oh and with the appearance of a new symptom or two, the bigger picture evaluation is making pancreatitis the number one suspect for what's going on with me right now. Suffice to say, not a lot is getting done. Trying to prioritize calorie deficit but being sick makes willpower a challenging thing to acquire. Getting better is the primary priority regardless, if I have to sacrifice a few days for that then that's fine 4 Quote Do the thing Link to comment

Pherales
Thankyou for all the well wishes, seriously. Unfortunately, we're not getting very far. I've spent more time in the emergency dept this summer than I have in the last decade previously. And after ultrasounds, ct scans, numerous blood panels and tests and cups full of pee we have come to the conclusion... That no one knows wtf is happening. On paper there isn't anything wrong. i am outrageously healthy for my age and weight, minus sone slightly elevated cholesterol I'm not a concern in any department. Internals are clean and shiny. Y'know, except for the gremlins trying to stab their way out in every direction. CT didn't even picked up a slipped disc which is a whole other wave of concern because if it's not a slipped disc then the options are increasingly concerning. So where I'm at is considering this challenge a write off. Sort of. It's not far til the end and I'm still somewhat trying to achieve my stuff but I'm not tracking anything and I'm not exerting myself beyond what my body says it can easily handle. I need to make another doctor appointment and go jumping through hoops all over again and mentally I'm just flat out exhausted. I haven't slept more than 5 hours in a night thanks to the combination of summer heat and persistent pain in over a week and giving up on everything is tempting. 4 Quote Do the thing Link to comment

Pherales
My appointment letter for my first bariatric appointment came, which was a big surprise since the wait list is notoriously long. It's on the same day that the car is booked in at the shop to repair the bumper. I feel like this is the most perfect representation of how 2023 has gone so far. 🙃 1 1 Quote Do the thing Link to comment
