Snarkyfishguts
GOOD MORNING! ARE YOU READY FOR THE AWESOMENESS THAT IS TODAY?!?! Today I have dusting and vacuuming on the schedule, so I'm super pumped about that. I did a lot of tidying up yesterday using my mother's age old "If you're going upstairs, take this with you! Don't waste the trip!" by dinnertime, the house looked pretty tidy, so vacuuming and dusting are gonna be a breeze. I never understood my mom as a kid when she'd be like "I don't want to pick up a bunch of stuff, I want to clean" because I was like "Isn't that the same thing?" but as an adult, I GET IT, MOM. I'm glad it's a rest day. My muscles are sore from yesterday. I'm gonna do some nice stretches today. That's it for me. I hope you have a good day! 6 1 Quote Link to comment

Snarkyfishguts
Well, I'm done for the day. I cleaned the upstairs and I got tired, so I took a nap this afternoon and then ran to Walmart. Afterwards, I ordered pizza and came home and I think that's probably where I went wrong today. Usually I order pizza with my folks, and not having them around to eat pizza with me made me realize I miss having them home. I'll see them next week, and then we'll make the long, long drive home, and this time next challenge, I'll be complaining about the way they clank spoons against their mugs. I think I might read a book for a while then go to bed early and hit the reset button for tomorrow. Have a good night! 5 Quote Link to comment
Snarkyfishguts
The reset button has been hit! Today's schedule has exercising on it, and I'm going to my cousin's house for dinner. I bought a couple crochet patterns of a cute chick and dragon, and I'm gonna try them out today. I'm new to crochet, but I like it a lot. It's easier on my hands than knitting, and I've made some...interesting things OOOH, and I'll probably finish cleaning the stuff on my list from yesterday. That'll be good! oof it is really raining outside today. I will need my umbrella, OR I can work out indoors. That's winning.. yup yup yup 5 Quote Link to comment

Snarkyfishguts
Okay doke, Yesterday I walked about 40 minutes, YAY! I went for a 20 minute walk in the rain, and then the sun came out when I was getting ready to see my cousin so I texted her and said" the sun is out, I'm going for a walk!" and she said "Have fun! See you soon!" Then I went to her house for a spaghetti dinner and it was a nice evening. I needed some family time. My scale is being a poophead. It gave me three different weights depending on how I was standing. I'm going to get a new battery for it, but if it STILL isn't reading consistently after that, then I'll say "Thank you for your 17 years of service." and I don't think I'll replace it And if it does work, I think I might not get on it again this year. I just might focus on taking care of myself every day and trusting that will work well. Or maybe I'll chicken out, we'll see LOL. 5 Quote Link to comment

Snarkyfishguts
The Brooklyn Art Library is closing down The Sketchbook Project. You can pay 15 dollars to request to get your sketchbook back, but they recommend checking first to make sure it wasn't lost in the fire last year. I think some folks participated in that here at some point, so I'm passing along the word in case you didn't know. All requests to have sketchbooks returned need to be submitted by February...10? yeah. I hope everyone has a great evening See you tomorrow 1 Quote Link to comment
Snarkyfishguts
It's cold again, the weather dropping from 50F (10C) to 34F (1C) and I've got a lot of layers today Today's schedule calls for exercise, and I have a lot of chores to get done. I left Saturdays open on the schedule to let me catch up or just do anything that needs doing. My folks texted me this morning saying "Can you cancel your flight and get your money back?" and I'm like "Yeah, but what's up?" and my mom is like "We want to come home now." and I'm like "Okay. Come home. Are you going to be okay driving?" and she said "Yes" I did NOT cancel my flight. She texted me again 30 minutes later saying "We decided to stay, but we might come home early after you get here." *edit the weather might nicer so they want to stay now. Yup. 4 Quote Link to comment
Snarkyfishguts
Yesterday was a good day. I ran to Home Depot and bought a new toilet handle for my folk's bathroom toilet. I noticed the last few times I cleaned it that it was sticking, so I cleaned it and it was still doing it, so I got a new one and it works really well. You can't even tell it's a new handle. In the short list of tiny repairs I did this month, this is the one I'm betting they notice. bathroom scale update: It wasn't the battery. I took it apart and one of the platforms the wiring is attached to is cracked and wobbles a lot, so that's why the readings are so different depending on where you stand. Where it cracked the plastic was crumbling a bit, so I threw it out. I don't plan on replacing it. 5 Quote Link to comment
Snarkyfishguts
I got Mom's scale out. I KNOW. But I wanted to know what I actually weighed on an scale that wasn't broken. And I weighed 249. Okay, so I know that's my 2023 starting point. The next time I get weighed will be in April, Then August, then December. I'm going to try out the MIND diet in February, with slight modifications for food intolerances. I'm also going to level up my exercise as well because I think I'm ready for that. I'm going to stick to the schedule, I like that, but I think I can add more time to my exercises, and a little more effort. And then I'm going to put it away for the day and focus on other stuff. Like my work, my friends, getting out and having a life that isn't centered around my family or my fat Did anyone watch the Bills and Bengals play?
