Stronkey Kong
Well, at least there's this: Feeling strong. Workout completed today: Greyskull (better back), Day 2, Week 2 10:23 PM (26 min) - 5767.5 lb Bench Press 2x5 45 lb 1x3 75 lb 3x5 137.5 lb Deadlift 1x5 150 lb Barbell Row 3x8 95 lb ...using Personal Training Coach - The best app for training - https://maxtrainingcoach.com Real good. Reps were easy and solid. I had cheese in my breakfast omelette this morning. One slice of pepperoni away from a third slice of pizza, but still nowhere near finishing the pizza. I am having salmon and potatoes for my last meal of the day. I noticed this morning, I left a measuring cup out from when I measured my rice for my lunch batch cooking. I thought I'd measured 2x 1/2 cup, turns out it was only 2x 1/3 cup... this may be why i've been cranky. I'm not eating as mush as I thought... idk. Could it make that much difference spread over 10 meals and five days? I left out almost as many calories as a bag of skittles! I am going to do some outlining for the short story I'm going to workshop. Then tomorrow night I'm gonna try to bang out the 2500 or so words I need for Sunday. 8 Quote ===================================================================================================== --Stronkey Kong-- Link to comment

Snarkyfishguts
You're missing out on 33 calories per meal, so over ten meals, that would be 330 calories. So that could explain the crankiness, but also the fact that you're eating rice all the time could make you cranky too Unless you're one of those unicorns who can eat the same thing every day and be happy. 1 Quote Link to comment
Stronkey Kong
Feeling strong. Workout completed today: Greyskull (better back), Day 3, Week 2 10:17 PM (43 min) - 5782.5 lb Overhead Press 2x5 45 lb 1x3 65 lb 3x5 97.5 lb Squat 2x5 45 lb 1x3 95 lb 1x3 135 lb 3x5 165 lb Chinups 3x3 15 lb ...using Personal Training Coach - The best app for training - https://maxtrainingcoach.com I was supposed to do 92.5# on press, but my brain read that as 97.5# so that's what I did. On pizza: I know i've been under eating in calories, but I think the bigger factor is lack of protein intake... or if I should have eaten more calories in protein, and not worry about carbs. I'm gonna cook a whole turkey tomorrow so that'll settle that 😁 A coworker went to Mc Donald's and bought everyone an blueberry or apple pie. I was too hungry to refuse, and this was even after I'd caved to getting some cheese doodles from the vending machine... and half of me was just curious because It's heard of cheese doodles, but only ever had Cheetos. Cheetos are better. I was so damn tired and hungry today. I slept in, skipped breakfast, and went to work for a half day of overtime. Then went grocery shopping. I had a sushi sampler for dinner, a bag of wasabi peas, then 10 buffalo wings. Plenty of fuel for the above workout. I'm debating on counting the buffalo wings as junk meat, but I think I'm gonna let em ride. They're definitely riding the line with the sauce, but compared to pepperoni, ham, sausage, Slim Jims, etc... they're okay. But now I'm up to three while slices of pizza with six crusts, three pepperoni slices, and four cheeses. I've got a 24 day streak in duolingo Ukranian. I lost another game of chess to Kishi, and I have KB Girl on the ropes... until she figures out the move she needs to stop check mate in two. I need to get some writing done 😕 5 Quote ===================================================================================================== --Stronkey Kong-- Link to comment

Pizza: only added one more cheese this weekend. I cooked a delicious turkey and made a pot of 15 bean soup. My strategy for this week is to try and hold off on pizza ingredients until at least Thursday, when I'm tired and I'm just done tolerating the weekand I want snacks. That way I'm at least making a cushion for when I inevitably fall because I need a weekend. Writing: I had my first zoom meeting for my workshop. We had to set specific goals for writing and reading. Mine are: write for 1 hour every day from 12 am - 1 am. And read from my unfinished books backlog every night before bed. Ukrainian and chess are still humming along. 6 Quote ===================================================================================================== --Stronkey Kong-- Link to comment
Stronkey Kong
Feeling a little triggered... Last week, my boss offered to buy pizza as a reward for our hard work and performance recently. I thanked him, then politely refused. And after a brief discussion about alternatives, I kinda just shot down most and just said you guys choose, I'll adapt. Okay. No problem. The thing is, now one of my coworkers is regularly inquiring me about what I'm eating. Then we just had a discussion about protein needs and whether or not carbs are needed. My boss seems to think you can eat all the protein you want and you'll just poop out whatever you don't use... Humans are diverse and variable on dietary needs. There are mountains of research on the complexity of nutrition and how to optimize for individuals, mitigate disorders, and if I hear one more piece of half-assed overly simplistic advice on my diet, I'm gonna scream. 5 1 Quote ===================================================================================================== --Stronkey Kong-- Link to comment

Sepherina
Feeling majorly triggered by this (JK). lol….I soo want pizza or any thing fried and totally unhealthy. But I’m cheap and I have none at home. Probably should eat the healthy stuff I intentionally put the fridge. Hope you are avoiding the pizza as well today. Stronkey Kong
Ugh! Writing: I spent all day reading and critiquing my workshop partners' manuscripts... and fighting with technology. My internet line is down, so i've been trying to write, edit, comment, transfer files across platforms and devices. Oof. Then tomorrow, three hours in the evening discussing these, on zoom, on my phone. I just finished my evening with some delicious pork tenderloin medallions. Cut 1.75 inches thick, cover in spice rub or whatever, and saute in oil on medium heat till the first side is mightily seared, flip and repeat. And serve. They come out perfectly well done, cooked all the way through but juicy, every time I do this. 4 Quote ===================================================================================================== --Stronkey Kong-- Link to comment

I got a lot of good feedback and gave a lot of good feedback. So far i've done a lot of good writing and good world building... everyone seemed interested in what's what and who's who. Though there are maybe a couple lines I can ditch, I'm glad to know, thus far I'm not wasting my time ( and money). We've got a really good group too.
