Heidi
Wow, the map! Thank you for posting the closeup of the trees, because I was going crosseyed trying to zoom in, and practically bumped my nose on the screen. I, too, am making a commitment to debt reduction this year! (So much love for @Gemma’s graph!) Perhaps we should all form a support group chat for financial freedom. Way to go with walking consecutive days. I know that when I do this, it becomes a self-reinforcing habit. Sovalis
Hi All! Quick post before bed so I can mark off that I touched the forums today on my tracker. Today was a *very* good day, despite some issues. I woke up with a weird carsickness feeling that lasted all morning and made it difficult to read or watch tv or be on my phone. I have no idea what caused it, but it eventually eased by and by. Just as I was starting to feel I could work on my map, a parcel arrived from my bestie who is currently living in the US. I video called her and we opened it together. It was MAGIC. I feel so seen and understood and loved. It blew me away: Dice (including the Pike dice from Vox Machina, a set I have wanted since they came out!), Almond Roca treats (I always get that as my latte flavour at Jack's), a little fox stuffie, a huge book of amazing stickers, a new notebook for DMing that she customized to say "Don't worry, I have a plan"... So many things. I'm forgetting a few, I'm sure. And the birthday gifts were in birthday paper (December babies appreciate that effort, believe me) and the whole thing just left me feeling so warm and fuzzy. ❤️ I realized while she and I were talking that I had double bookedy evening, having arranged to have video tea with a friend while I was supposed to be running my usual Friday game. So I texted Andrea and asked if we could meet early, and we spent three hours catching up. This was great, but ate my mapping time. Then it was time to get ready for game. Dave went and got us Chinese food for supper which was delicious. I ran a great game, if I do say so myself. Lots of mystery. It's fun. I did not get my walk in today. I ate a lot of gummy candies while we played game. I didn't have veggies with lunch. These are areas of improvement. But on the whole I am a very grateful human who feels connected to their friends despite time and distance. And that just can't be beat. Tomorrow is another day and I'll do what I can in it. Just as I laid down to type this my head swam again quite severely. So no idea what that's about. Hopefully it goes away overnight! I'll respond to comments tomorrow. I read them though. Thank you all for being here. It really makes my heart shine. 💜 7 2 Quote Past Challenges: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9 Current Challenge: #10 Link to comment

Sovalis
Hi Everyone! 😁 First day of 2023 is in the books. I checked off everything in my tracker and that felt good. I even got my walk in despite the weird wooziness happening off and on all day today. I did up a spread of some adulting to-do's and also some things I can do for fun. That bear with the club is me charging in to conquer my task lists. 😅 I drop Dave off at work at 0200. Trying to decide if I'm going to go to bed with him and wake up at 0100, or if I'm going going to just stay up. It's a tough call. I weighed in and managed to stay under 300 lbs over Christmas, a pleasant surprise. And for my walk today I went from a 2.9 speed to a 3. Little change, but it felt good to tick it up. Challenge Specifics (Daily): Walking: 6,001 currently Water: 3x Tumblers. Food: Three meals, but lunch was not a great option. Fun: New Year's Tarot spreads Adulting: Made a Sourdough Strata with Spinach, Onion, and Gruyere for brunch, moved the rocker back into position, and did the dishes twice. I'm not feeling eloquent tonight, so I'll wrap up. Thank you for being here! 💙 4 2 Quote Past Challenges: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9 Current Challenge: #10 Link to comment

Sovalis
Hi Friends! I ended up going to bed and getting up to drive Dave to work in the wee hours and I think that was the right decision. Then I came home and (eventually) fell asleep, waking around 9, which was alright. Had coffee, did dog chores, cleaned the living room, did some dishes, then decided to put laundry on and tie into making my lunches for this week. I purchased a warehouse pack of ultra lean ground beef and divided it in half. The first chunk became three portions of Dan Dan Mian that I served over blanched baby Bok Choy instead of noodles. The second portion of beef became taco seasoned beef that I can use to make burritos or taco salads later this week. I feel virtuous that I have actually made lunches and that they are real, good, food. It's not something I've prioritized consistently in the past. I also did all the dishes I generated cooking, too, so the kitchen remains clean. I need to swap my laundry over and then do my walk. I'm going to Nic and Bryon's tonight for supper and to hang out. Bryon inherited a stained glass shop at Christmas from his father in law and is excited to show it off. He's offered to teach me how to do it and I'm stoked about it. I have wanted to learn these skills for a long time. So that will be cool! Hope you're all having the loveliest of lovely days. Sovalis
Hi Friends! Just wanted to share a few quick photos from what ended up being a stained glass lesson tonight. It was so cool! Learning to cut my shapes. Thankfully there were a few types of cutters as one really didn't work for my hand pain stuff. But another one was much easier to use. All of my points cut. The colours, textures, and iridescence are so delightful. Starting to foil and pin the first layer. The piece Bryon is working on. Steps hit 6,686 today. A very good day. 💙 3 4 1 Quote Past Challenges: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9 Current Challenge: #10 Link to comment
