Maggie-Miau
Today: See above. Grandad and his wife gave me the plague DX It steadily worsened the whole time i was at work this morning...fortunately got to leave thirty minutes early. I really can't afford to actually miss work this week, but if i have to nope out to get a covid test i will. I'm concerned because it does feel like a cloud in me chest negl. So now my to-do list will be reduced to plague protocols (read: minimum). I am cooking, though. I am making Emergency Soup. 2 Quote Matthew 25:34-40 Link to comment

Topped up with water, added some cayenne pepper. Hopefully it'll taste okay. 3 Quote Matthew 25:34-40 Link to comment

Rhovaniel
That's really rough on the Plague front, Miau. It's also rather selfish and unfair of your Granddad and his wife to insist on such a visit, I have to say. Maggie-Miau
Hrrrrgggggg I do get pathetic when ill XD I'm going to be wise though and go ahead and get a covid test. None available today but I can schedule one for tomorrow morning. Wrestling with whether to call out for a day even if it isn't the rona. Broski and momsauce are coming down with it too, the grents sniped all three of us lol 😆 Ngl despite feeling awful physically I haven't yet gotten all weepy like I usually do, so that and the fact that my soup is quite good are both wins. Maggie-Miau
Lol I woke up at an ungodly hour for an involuntary sobbing session XD. The aches and chills are actually a bit horrible this time. Might cry again bc I can't find a mug to make tea in 🤣 3 Quote Matthew 25:34-40 Link to comment

Maggie-Miau
Updoot: test got canceled but momsauce got to actually see a doctor and, assuming we both have the same Plague, it's bronchitis and not covid. I have elected to skip tonight's shift in favor of getting some more meds down and doing some more Sleeping, because so far Sleeping is what seems to help the most. 2 Quote Matthew 25:34-40 Link to comment

Maggie-Miau
Ngl this is the sickest I've been in a long time, it's kind of impressive really. My strategy has been to stay as unconscious as possible in 4-hour increments, wake up to take meds and hydrate then promptly die again. I think we're done with the aches, and have now graduated to truly horrific swamp coughs. Momsauce reckons I should skip tonight's shift as well but I might be somewhat okay by tonight. 3 Quote Matthew 25:34-40 Link to comment

Maggie-Miau
Made it through work but have entered the truly pathetic, God's Weakest Soldier stage of the game. Maggie-Miau
Just now, Kishi said: Why did you have to do 12 hours sick, if you don't mind me asking? Do you not have sick leave or anything like that? I'm still a temp until OurMed and MAMHA come through with the paperwork, meaning I'm not a full Lear Employee, which essentially just means I do the same work but without pto/sickleave/insurance/holiday pay etc. I was able to call out one day but need a doctor's note for any further absence. So since I'm at the doc now there's a chance i won't have to go in tonight or tomorrow. 2 Quote Matthew 25:34-40 Link to comment
