(I know, posting it now is early, but figured I'd get this up so I don't forget. 😅) I'm excited for this year and what is to come! I've got my 2023 goals up in my battle log and ready for tackling some goals. I hope y'all have had a great holiday season. We had a nice time with family for Christmas, though Christmas day BabyG and I were sick. 😕 Thankfully, we are both starting to feel better. Tuesday we were at my grandparents' and they pulled out a video they had found from when I was not quite 2 years old. That was so much fun to see! Crazy how fast time flies! Goals: 📵 - I'd like to really limit my screen time and focus more on spending time with different hobbies and things. Especially since we're hoping to have a house this year (2023) and I'll have more responsibilities around the house than just taking care of our little space. 🍬 - I would also like to limit my sugar intake. It's been really bad, especially with the holidays. Eventually I'd like to work on junk foods in general, but figured I'd start slow. ✏️ - This one is more of a "sidequest" type goal, but I'd like to check the Inktober52 prompts whenever they're posted and see if that's something I plan on participating in this year. I had planned on it this past year, but ended up not doing it. Asha Phoenix Posted December 30, 2022 Author Report Share Posted December 30, 2022 Totally forgot to take pictures, and I know I'm late in mentioning this, but between Monday and Tuesday I made 11 loafs of bread. 3 were sourdough, 4 were cinnamon friendship bread, and 4 were blueberry with a lemon glaze. About half of them went to grandparents for Christmas. I've been considering making bread to sell at a local farmers market. We'll see what happens. I used to have a sourdough starter but I was the only one who really liked it, so I stopped making it. I'd like to get another one, though, especially after reading T Kingfisher's A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking. I'm mostly keeping it for my mom, but I think I'll probably continue to keep one whenever D and I find a house. I killed Kevin. Also, before I started I thought people were nuts for naming their starter, but when you talk about needing to feed it, it kind of became a Kevin for me. I'm sorry, rip Kevin. I never got too emotionally invested in mine, but I brewed kambucha for a while and got attached to Scoby. I was going to workout, but pretty much everyone was home and hanging out in the living room, which is the only good spot for working out at the moment, so a workout didn't happen. Got some cleaning done in my room, which has been a long time coming. 😅 Focused on clothes that have been piling up after coming through the laundry. Started back into language learning and enjoyed it! D said that he'd like to learn a language together, so I'm excited to see where this goes. D and I ended the day watching the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Wednesday I cleaned a bit, but not as much as I wanted to. We went to church in the evening and enjoyed fellowship afterward. Thursday I organized the laundry area. It feels good to organize things! In the evening we went to our first small group for the year. BabyG got to bed a lot later than normal and was super cranky/tired. Friday BabyG was up at 4-something in the morning and we didn't get back to sleep till around almost 6. My mom woke me up around 8 so I could get my sister from work since her car wasn't working. Later in the day we ran her car to see what was wrong with it. In the evening, D and I went to supper with a friend I haven't seen in a while. It was nice to be out, and BabyG enjoyed seeing all the people. It was fun watching the waitresses interact with her. The owner even stopped by and said hi to her. D and I finished our movie after putting BabyG to bed. Oh! I also made some more bread. lol Saturday is kinda a blur..... I remember going to my brother's basketball game, but that's about it....lol. ----- Overall, I think I did pretty well today. My screentime was down this week, and I didn't eat a whole bunch of sugar. The first Inktober52 prompt was released on Thursday. The prompt is "Build", and I've started on my drawing. Didn't go overboard, but more than one.
