Iterations [DoubleTrouble]

Recommended Posts

There are a lot of tricking/freerunning moves that can be learned by modifying one move bit by bit until it turns into a new move. Lots of examples on Zak Ferguson’s youtube channel.

Main quest

Don’t get injured

Side quests

Put in the reps to modify existing moves into new ones

Vertical (vert) twisting: use mini/rebound trampoline to practice spinning. Goal: comfortable 540s (1.5 spins).

Recovering from sickness this week, but stlll got a lot of movement in. I've been watching climbing videos lately so of course I had to visit the climbing gym. The lack of snow outside meant I could sneak in an outdoor parkour session too. Diving practice had its ups and downs, did some 1.5 fronts but messed up on inward dives. The highlight of the week was definitely getting my first slanted flyaway to a crash mat.

Better than having it all go sideways 😛

I want to sideflip! And tunnel flip! I don't think they'll let me. I should check though

Lots of training this week. Cleaned up gainer tech off the diving board, got a bit more comfortable with backflips on trampoline, and with rail jumps at height.

Main quest

Don’t get injured - kind of. Felt low back and a tibialis at one point, but nothing major.

Side quests

Put in the reps to modify existing moves into new ones - kind of. Quickly found out that my kicks and hips weren't that great, and started working on higher round/hook kicks and better hip mobility.

Vertical (vert) twisting: use mini/rebound trampoline to practice spinning. Goal: comfortable 540s (1.5 spins) - nope
