When I was doing my second set of squats my knee got grumpy. I tried one rep of the next set and called it. It was the right decision. It hurt moving around for a bit, but stopped hurting when I was doing arm stuff. I did OHP seated with dumbbells instead of standing with Kettle Bells, and Rows on a bench with DB instead of standing bent over rows with KB. I also went into the sauna and the steam room, which was a good decision. I cooked lunch, roasted pork tenderloin seasoned with salt, pepper, mustard, honey, and thyme and roasted for 22 minutes at 450 degrees. I served it with broccoli and mashed potatoes. I feel good about making a wise decision to save my knee, it doesn't hurt anymore. I take that to mean stopping was the right call. 15 3 Quote Current Challenge "By the Most-Righteous-and-Blessed Beard of Sir Tanktimus the Encourager!" - Jarl Rurik Harrgath Link to comment

I'm tired (stayed up too late reading last night). My grumpy knee was ok, but the calf was a little tight at times right by the tendon. Stretching seemed to help. Got the house ready for small group and didn't do much else. Yes plz! 😆 May you crush all of the deadlifts! Thank you and welcome. Gym report Calf is still grumpy, and now so is the wrist on the left side. I was tired anyway, so much that after two cups of coffee I went back to bed and slept at least another hour. I finally made it to the gym (after a third cup of coffee) to see what I could do. I did most of the warmup. They are switching out equipment and the deadlift platforms are in the midst of all that, and I wasn't feeling them anyway so I tried to bench. I did my warmup sets, and the wrist was uncomfortable but not really stopping me. When I tried the first work set the bar felt twice as heavy as it should have, so I didn't even try a rep. I did some minimal stretching and I'm off to the sauna. This is not a failure. Failure would have been not showing up. I succeeded in that I got here when I didn't even want to try. Consistency is the goal, everything else is secondary. 16 Quote Current Challenge "By the Most-Righteous-and-Blessed Beard of Sir Tanktimus the Encourager!" - Jarl Rurik Harrgath Link to comment
