Easter is off. No plans to show up for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Yeehaw. Didn't get any sleep for real today, going in to work a 12 having gotten maybe 3 hours XD It'll be okay. Maggie-Miau Posted March 28 Author Report Share Posted March 28 apparently ive given myself hives or something. hit a breaking point today after accidentally clocking out one minute early, which Hyundai considers an affront to God and will take fifteen minutes out of your Personal Hours for, and if you reach fewer than 20 Personal Hours you get fired. I'm not at imminent risk but it just upset me today because how freakin inhuman is that. You make people come in to work on a Saturday, then hold them extra on Sunday, then when they come back less than 24 hours later to fill in on 1st shift you're gonna penalize them for clocking out a single minute early? I think that's gross. It's also Been A Day and i wound up having a full sobbing panic attack- made it to my car first -and finally just texted both of my supervisors to let them know i am Struggling Horribly because a coworker went on maternity leave and that's left me by myself with not one but two trainees to babysit and check behind and my braincells are already at their limit just paying attention to my work. Plus the car stuff last week and it's hit me that i'm now properly stuck since ive got Rent and a car note [broski is contributing to the car note but it's still a pile of debt] and the stuff with the grandparents, and now after the wreck broski has a phobia around driving/wont be getting his own vehicle anytime soon. i've been having a hard time eating. even the protein shakes it's like. ew. eating sucks drinking sucks consuming things sucks i don't like doing it. Scheduled for 12 hours on this shift then no more ot til thursday-into-friday. I don't think we're working Saturday. And everything is Very Unfair and Not Right and I would like to administer some percussive justice in several of these situations. 😡 All of the feelings you're having make perfect sense with how much you're carrying in each of these situations. I don't know how much flex you have to actually take time off work or anything, but it's also okay to take a little break from the "I need to eat, I need to work, I need to sleep, I need to ..." self-talk as well. I'm already down to like 44 personal hours due to the car situation, and will be out for two days in July since I already got tickets for that show. Is there anything in your budget or wiggle room for you to put something aside with each pay day. Even if it's a small amount you don't think will make a difference, building up a small buffer for Emergencies can be a real help, mentally as well as physically. Maggie-Miau Posted March 29 Author Report Share Posted March 29 Supervisors never actually talked to me yesterday like they had said they would. 2nd Shift had left an unmitigated disaster and i managed to catch us up and get us ahead pretty much by myself- the other coworker was resigned to be behind all night but i didn't want to be behind and have first shift come in and think i was why it was behind so, naaaaaaw fam i worked like a beast XD And then for my four overtime hours i kept working like a beast and had no errors/stayed ahead. Nobody had anything to say. Which is fine, i knew i did a good job. I think part of why i've been upset is that i feel like irk people are really nice to me at first but then after a while they get irritated and start to dislike me/find me annoying. People get tired of me or something, and it's because i don't meet expectations. Nice at first, until the 'Just Met You' facade lowers and their true personality becomes more evident. Just remember, that has nothing to do with you. Remember, in a work place, many bosses, particularly supervisors, will expect so much more of their workers than is ever going to be realistic. I had it in retail. You could bust your butt for them all day long, take all the extra shifts and crappy hours, but the only time they wanted to talk was if you made the smallest error. Not saying that's entirely accurate of your situation, but just remember, their opinion of you is unlikely to be anything to do with you as a person. Dental health is important. A check up is almost certainly worth it. The insurance might cover a hygienist appointment, too? Fingers crossed for speedy acceptance from the Dr (if that is a thing. Straightening depends on how good the orthodontia coverage is on your dental plan. Also I'm not sure but I seem to remember sensory issues on your part, and getting teeth straightened involves Things in Your Mouth so that's a consideration as well. Once the process is done it's generally beneficial for oral health. As for Dental checkups, they are always beneficial, and a good way to prevent problems. If you're nervous about the dentist, check to see if any dentists cover Nursing Homes. They often have to take care of patients with Dementia who DO NOT LIKE people putting things in their mouth, and learn to be really gentle. Maggie-Miau Posted April 1 Author Report Share Posted April 1 Got a call back from a doctor, for some reason getting in as a new patient is a whole Thing instead of one phonecard. They're supposed to get back to me Monday to finish registration. Idk if I said but my supervisors never did actually talk to me. I haven't seen team lead since last week and the main supervisor who said he'd talk to me has been around but not said anything XD things have calmed down but I'm still out here babysitting this trainee who doesn't want to do anything. She's real sweet but she only wants to do one part of the work, complains if we don't get off early, makes less effort the further along the night goes (meaning I have to check her work more as the night progresses bc she starts leaving errors) and tries to tell me to slow down and not work so hard even though I'm the one it comes down on if there are errors left behind for first shift to deal with XP like ma'am I will stab u with these tin snips don't talk to me 😅 2 1 Quote Matthew 25:34-40 Link to comment
