Driving in Atlanta it's about the same if you take the highway or don't...I generally don't to avoid sitting and going nowhere

same. but my father is all highway all the time except for one particular clusterfuck stretch of highway during rush hour where even he recognizes surface roads are faster. Otherwise he'll drive several miles out of his way to get on the highway and save 2 minutes. 🙄

Depression is 800% doing its thing right now. It's annoying. I know the biggest piece is all the house stuff on the horizon and the fact that I'm the only one who gives a shit. (And I only give a shit because it will improve *my* quality of life. There's no reason to be miserable through another summer when these options are available.) Second to that is the fact that I have 3 doctor appointments in a 6-day span in May. Unlucky scheduling. One is a sleep specialist (virtual, thankfully) to discuss the sleep apnea and get a full sleep study ordered. (meh.) Then my PCP for a regular followup, then my endo the day after. I actually messaged my endo last night to see if she wanted to order labs so I could get them done at the pcp office and have the results when I see her. And she did. So now I really can't chicken out and cancel. >> Instead I get to spend 3 weeks worrying about the eventual test results. 
 

so yeah no stress in my life at all right now. Plus FK has his next shot Monday morning and then the electricians will be here all day Tuesday, aaaand in ~7 hours there are Facebook people coming to pick stuff up which was a terrible decision on my part. So my sleep schedule (such as it is  ) is about to get fucked up and I'm already anxious about that. 
 

On the positive side, I've been doing things from my giant to do list every day. I wish I'd had the spoons to do more but I keep reminding myself the minimum was *one* thing. I do have to step it up the next couple days because the electricians are adding a new outlet to my room so I'll have to have space to pull shit away from the wall but I'm not going to go bonkers. Can't be fucked to care right now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Im just kind of over everything. I'm just really annoyed that it takes so much effort to do anything at all. 
 

also I ate a vegan frozen meal today and whadaya know, I physically felt so much better than when I eat garbage food. Who could've guessed?

Slept super poorly last night. Partly because of needless anxiety over Facebook people picking things up, partly because both cats decided they needed to sleep on my bed and be touching me at all times, and a good part because reflux and other stomach issues. As a result my grand plan for the day fell by the wayside. I did open my closet and discover it's not currently infested with spiders, which is nice. Wasn't really in the mood to do anything else in there but at least now I know the situation. Also cleaned the slime monster out of the kitchen sink, cleared off the kitchen countertops of not-my expired food and various other trash, and then attempted to discuss with my father the fact that his mortgage will be paid off in the next month or two and how does he want to handle taxes, insurance, and whatever else has been paid through the mortgage the last 37 years... then he shut down because he figures the insurance company will want to do an inspection and the house is a wreck and he doesn't want to spend more money. So, you know, super productive conversation. 
 

all this to say I'm trying, dammit. Will probably do some dishes later when my brother kicks me off the ps4. And then play freezer Tetris because there are 12 more frozen meals coming tomorrow since I didn't cancel the order and there really isn't room for them. 😬

Did none of the things. Planned on going to bed early but somehow now it's almost 4am which is great. Super awesome. 
 

things to do on Friday:

- take litter genie refills and various cleaning supplies downstairs and shove them under the kitchen sink

- haul a big trash barrel out of my closet and post it to facebook

- try to shove a storage bin in the closet instead

- dishes. fucking dishes. 
- try not to beat my father to death with my frozen dinners because he's definitely going to have things to say about their existence

New plan. I can ignore dishes for another day IF I instead set a timer for 20 minutes and spend it all clearing out the chairdrobe and all the shit along my back wall. It’s mostly just stuff that got put down midway through its journey to where it belongs and then never picked back up to finish said journey. And I’m tired of looking at it. 
 

also I can’t wait for the day I run out of things to post to facebook because I hate people so fucking much. But today is sadly not that day.

best thing to wake up to on a Saturday: a notification that my application for unemployment benefits was denied. Which I never applied for in the first place. So if anyone needs me I'll be spending the day locking down my credit and changing every single password I've ever fucking used on the internet, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And now I'm once again killing time in the ER. Went to urgent care bc stomach pain went nuts, they told me go to ER and get a ct scan bc it could be a bunch of things. Yay. Got here and was told it's at least a 2-hour wait. Gross. Of course it's been a minute since I ate food too so that's fun.

They seem to be taking people back at a pretty good pace. Annoying old lady is still here, still complaining about the wait. She was here before me but I don't know what she's here for so I really hope I go back before her just to piss her off. I am a good person. 
 

it just occurred to me that the last time I was here I saw a sign that said CT results can take 6 hours to come back. And it's a Saturday night. I'm gonna be here forever. Woo. Maybe I'll finally get through all the ebooks I have.

I never got around to changing all my passwords. I could do it now but I don't want to. womp womp. I'm not going to be able to keep track of them all while sitting here in the twilight zone. 
 

I did report the fraud to the unemployment folks, freeze all my credit reports, put a fraud alert on them, and go to the police station to make a report that I have to go back and pick up Monday. (Boo.) And then I found in my spam folder an email from the unemployment folks earlier in the week wanting me to confirm my email address. My spam filter lets super obvious spam into my inbox, but eats that one. Awesome. (Also I know all kinds of people fall for scams but when I showed the cop the email that started it all he was like "are you sure it's real?" Well instead of clicking the link in the email I went to the state website and logged in from there and found this letter in my inbox so yeah I'm pretty sure it's real. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Kinda pissed. Trying not to be too bitter about it though. Like let's be real, if my father hadn't seen so many of these scams in action thanks to his job, he'd be falling for half of them too. He legit brought me an email that started "dear [email address] your package could not be delivered." Was he expecting a package? No. Is his email address anything like his name? Also no. Maybe he should stop talking shit about other people.)

Annoying lady is gone, I missed whether she was called back or just bailed. Now sitting across from me are two people speaking something that sounds Nordic? I want to say danish only because it's hard to distinguish any words and my Norwegian friend told me people from Norway and Sweden speak like they have a mouth full of hot potato. 
 

anyway. While I was trying not to look like I'm eavesdropping I realized I have headphones with me and can do all the Duolingo right now since I don't have Pokémon to play anymore.

edit for the sake of not making yet another post: EMTs just wheeled in a lady who reeks of cigarettes, left her a couple feet from me, and she immediately started freaking out about how the last time she took an ambulance here they took her right away and she really needs her pain medicine riiight now. I don't want to be too judge but also I'm judging her. And now I'm going to sit somewhere else because I want to be able to breathe.

Reason #836362857 to lose weight: every fucking time I come here or urgent care they first thing they're concerned about is my heart rate and keep harping on it no matter how many times I say that's normal for me and my cardiologist is part of this hospital system please check her notes or something. But no. Ugh.

Ketones detected in the urinalysis. Gremlins going to town with that. I don't think it means I'm dying right now but I'm not loving the whole thing. Still waiting to get the ct scan then god knows how much longer I'll be here. Sunday is going to be a complete waste of a day. 
 

edit two hours later: asked the nurse, she informed the gremlins it could be anything. And then I realized I'm dumb, the urgent care ran the same urinalysis ~5 hours before the ER and there were no ketones. So yeah, fuck gremlins.

bad news: no fucking answers. Just "call your pcp and your GI." I mean I'm glad I'm not in immediate danger but also like... dafuq. And I still don't know what's causing the pain or what to do about it. 
 

edit LOL JK the PA just came back and said the report isn't in yet. Soooooo I'm still waiting til someone reads the CT. That's really reassuring.

So sorry you have to go through all that. I would advise to change a doctor and go to a possibly best hospital you can find if you can't find any answers in the current one. Or was it just a one time thing? Maybe it was just really bad indigestion?
