I'll be rocking my NF shirt tomorrow at the Heart Foundation Petition rally in Brisbane City. There's apparently going to be some media covering it so maybe I can try photobomb a camera =P

Stop making up names

So I'm thinking it could be time to put together an Australia-wide meetup. There are quite a few Aussies on board these days, and most don't live in Sydney, where all of the past meetups have been held.

What I'm thinking is maybe we set aside a day and time that's reasonably convenient for everyone and stage a competition of sorts. It can involve anything we like, from running (yay) to weight lifting, pushup competitions, you name it. Perhaps we can even have a live web stream going between venues? We set it up so that where there are groups of Aussie rebels, we meet up, and where there are solo rebels, they can just log in and participate.

Needs a lot of fleshing out, but who'd be up for something like this?

So how would this work? A team in each state and we organise some sort of set of exercises to occur on the same day via  live feed?

I think that would be the easiest... We could decide on a few 'events' maybe, such as pushups, squats, etc. Maybe even some more specialised ones if we can arrange it, such as weight lifting or (dare I say it) running?

I've always liked knock-out style comps. Eg for pushups, everyone does 1. Everyone who completes that goes to the next level and does 2, then 3, 4, 5, etc. The winner is the one who manages to stay in the game the longest.

Hi there. Anyone from Melbourne? I live in Monbulk, up in the hills near The Dandenongs.....

I used to do camps in Monbulk when I was a kid! :) I LOVE the Dandenongs. I'm in Berwick so I'm not too far away at all and every chance I get I'm out driving or walking through them.

Another Melbourne person? Tick.

(Also I love Victoria in general so if anyone ever wants a bush-walking buddy or just some recommendations for walks in general I'm more than happy to oblige!)

Hey guys! Just wanted to pop in and say hi!

I'm Canadian but currently travelling all over the beautiful OZ. As of now, I'm at the Gold Coast and working my way down! If any events are happening I'd love to take part!

Nice, where on the Coast are you?

If you make it down to Sydney, I'd be up for a meet up. Always good to have a fellow Canuck around :)

That sounds great! I'll keep you updated on my progress!

Nice, where on the Coast are you?

Currently I'm in Southport and then as of tomorrow I'm heading down to Coolangatta/ Tweeds Head.

Hey hey! I'm trying to lose weight to Cosplay too! Maybe I'll see you at Armageddon. :) (As you see above I'm from the South East myself, although I did my BA at Vic Uni in St.Albans so I know a little of the West. ^_^)

Good luck!

We even would have been there at the same time since I'm the same age as you ^_^ small world. Although my degree was in professional writing and literature not social work.

I haven't been to Arma for a few years and couldn't make it to SupaNova so I'm keen to get to it this year. Hopefully in Cosplay shape or near to it by then. :D
