Long-term: Handstand pushups, muscle-ups, super-high box jumps. Current Point: wavering between 195-200 lbs. Been stuck at about 15% fat for a while now. Trying to get below the proverbial 10%, just to see the abs once.Strengths: Dog training. Nice weather outside. Workout alone, good at yelling at myself.Weaknesses: Milkshakes. sdquinn
I'm going to follow along with your challenge if you don't mind, Jacob. I feel like we're pretty similar. How is the venti Pike's roast? I'm a Starbucks fiend who is looking to transfer from Frappuchinos to coffee, and I'm curious how the regular roast is. Link to comment
jacobmovingfwd
I love it. I remember back in the day, Starbucks regular coffee was nastyshit. I tried the christmas blend, and it was burnt; at least he one I had was. Pike's is always there, it's dark without being too strong, it's overly nutty, sweet, or anything really. It's a very generic coffee, and it's $2.22 after tax for the venti. I get it with heavy cream, and the fat makes it almost like a snack. delicious. sdquinn
So the command to the barista would be what, exactly? Is "Venti Pike's with heavy cream, please." right? I know the cinnamon is on your own afterwards. And that does sound very good already. Link to comment
jacobmovingfwd
"Venti Pike's, heavy cream", yeah. If they try to charge you the $.50, balk. I've heard it both ways, but the cream doesn't cost them any more than the half&half does. the $.50 charge in their POS is supposedly for whipping it. So if you get a full-cream latte, they charge it. Don't do that unless you're gonna chug it. As soon as it's lukewarm, the frothed cream coats your mouth like nasty... If they still don't get it, tell them "The orange box in the fridge." Borden is their supplier (at least in my area), and the label/carton is orange for Borden Heavy Whipping Cream. Vietnamese, very spicy. slight cheat in that there was some peanut crumbles, and the spring roll rice paper sheets of the 2 mini eggrolls attached. Slight Cheat: a few of the gf's fries w/ queso.Workout: 100%0.66mi dog walk. Had a busy day, so it was a short walk, but it was a 'down' day, so that's fine. Alethea
Jacob, not since talking to my sister have I seen such thought put into a starbucks purchase. That said, that will totally be my go-to drink from now on. Thanks! And good luck with your challenge! "Let another say. 'Perhaps the worst will not happen.' You yourself must say. jacobmovingfwd
Ok, so I know I haven't posted on here in a bit.I was laid off NYE; had a great weekend with the gf, but was totally off-regimen for a good 3-4 days.In the past week, I've been job-hunting, and I think I did one workout, but that's it.I got a new car (old one was company car) Fri, got my dog back from my parents yesterday, and went grocery shopping today, so I'm back on the ball!Food: 50%Breakfast: 2 slices cheesecake, to see if it was still good. It wasn't spoiled, but the rest is in the trash. Now that the roommates are moved out, I'm cleaning out the whole pantry.Lunch: Nothing; hasn't been a great day.Snack: 2 hardboiled eggs right before workout. MLO Super Protein w/ 10oz almond milk after.Dinner: not made yet, but will be Venison cutlets, using this recipe.Workout: 80%I just went and bought a new 35 lb kettlebell; Academy had from for 20% off. My previous is a 15 lb... I just did somewhere between half the GoFit workout included with it. sets of swings, squats, lunges... A lot. I kept telling the lady on the tv to fucking slow down, then just told her to fuck off, and stopped it.Conditioning is my weak point, and something I definitely need to work on. I'm thinking kb swings, burpees... what else? Also, I'm really not good at warming up. This DVD had it on there, but I need to focus on that more.
